Highly recommend this restaurant. We had no idea what to expect coming here and were very pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and the high quality of the food. I had the Rice and Noodle Bowl with Chicken and Crack Salad. What a delicious combo. Worth visiting, I will be back often.
Chicken wings were burnt. Toast that came with mussels were burnt :/
I've now had two incredible experiences at Torafuku. The menu is creative and made with love and the service was lovely both times. I will definitely be coming back!
Great food and great service. Came for the Dine Out menu and the food was cooked perfectly. Definately recommend this restaurant!
The food was interesting fusion. What I wanted to mention about is the restaurant’s service. Especially it is about the wrong bill. After my friend paid the whole meal, another friend noticed our friend paid more about 90 dollars than the bill which we supposed to pay. I feel it is very unfortunate that we had to call and ask the payment that we made was right or not. The server returned and gave the differences back. But they seemed not really bothered, nor apologetic gestures much. It wasn’t really appreciated experiences after the meal.
There was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. As for the seating we were sitting on backless stools that were hard and not very comfortable. At the time we were seated the booths were not available. Perhaps specify that you want a booth at the time of reservation.
Very tasty good. Good size portions. Will be going back.
Always good food and service. Sad that they no longer have the wagyu bowl though.
The experience I dined for was the Dineout Menu at Torafuku. The first course was a delightfully light steamed bun with wonderfully paired sweet soy butter. For The second course we selected the Apple and Beetroot salad that can only be described as sour and uninteresting although the toasted walnuts helped. The next course was the duck confit which was stripped off pieces of duck that were strewn about a salad of extremely bitter vegetables. The duck itself was crispy like jerky and was dry with no moisture. The main course we had the lingcod in which the fish had a marvellous sear and there was a generous portion for two people. However, the green sauce at the bottom did not complement the delicate fish as it was overwhelmingly earthy and somewhat bitter due to the collard greens and mushrooms. Lastly, for the deserts the black sesame tart was hard as rock and had clearly been pre-made and left in the fridge for too long. The “black sesame” whipped cream on top was deflated and had no sweetener added to it with flecks that looked like ground black sesame. The other calamansi meringue tart was good but felt like it could have been better coming from a restaurant such as Torafuku. This menu was not their best work and I implore you to dine a la carte here as there are better menu options that you can enjoy here.
It's my 5th visit at Torafuku and I am constantly being amazed by the cleanliness, services, and excellent foods! Keep up the great work and I know it's a team effort, and I look forward to another visit soon.
Had a wonderful Saturday lunch. Food was superb! Our sever Maggie was amazing
Thank you for the great experience
Enjoyed this restaurant, we’ll definitely come back for more
We came in around 6pm so it was just us at the time. The stafg was attentive and answered our questions about the menu and provided recommendations. Good food and great value. Clean and cozy.
We had a fabulous meal at Torafuku. The Wagyu beef bowl was particularly good. We got the cheesecake dessert-it was a very generous serving and was the perfect way to finish off a spicy meal. Wine and beer were very well priced and the service was attentive. I don't love the minimalist decor at Torafuku. It can seem a bit sterile and unwelcoming, but the food was amazing and I cannot wait to go back.
We had a great time, it was easy to get a reservation and the staff were very accommodating.
This is still one of my favorite restaurant fit outs. Not only is the space beautiful but it was relatively quiet!
Food was on point, we had the set menu and thought the amount and quality of food was great value.
Food was delicious and environment was nice and clean. Covid protocols means we were very spaced out and the restaurant was not as noisy as it normally is.
GREAT food! Delicious, fair portion, and a creative twist between the east and west! Service was prompt. We had to ask for a table instead of sitting at a bench table with stools (my husband has a bad back) and we were quickly accommodated. Overall a very positive experience. Will return!
Really great food at a fantastic price. Try the chicken and crack salad.
Awesome menu and happy hour til 9pm. Yahoo!
Amazing experience. Will be back
This is our favourite restaurant in vancouver, we try to go atleast once a month. The food is always spectacular and the staff are the best- especially Erica! Our go to’s are the duck baos & brussel sprout salad!
Food was outstanding! Great flavour profiles for all of our rice bowls (chicken, pork belly, waygu beef) & generous portions. Service & value of food were excellent. Plain Jane decor but who cares when food is great..
I would describe Torafuku as fine dining with an affordable price! Have been trying new dishes & cocktails every time I visited and nothing has disappointed me so far. Highly recommend you to try their roast duck & brussel sprout salad!
Love love loved the Pork Belly and Cracked Rice! And the Basque Cheesecake was just divine!
Our date night at Torafuku was a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end. The food was bursting with flavour and the presentation made us feel like we were in a world class gourmet restaurant while the staff made us feel like we were guests in a family home. We're looking forward to visiting again soon!
Inventive menu hitting the highs of refined food but in a clean, healthy uncomplicated manner. Veggies cooked expertly elevated simple dishes. Enjoyed the unique restaurant ambiance.
The food was amazing, we had the duck dinner for two, everything was really tasty and good quality! I would recommend this place 100%, services also outstanding!
Can’t believe it took me this long to try this place! 10/10 service, food and drinks. Cocktails were so unique and delicious. Food was incredible. The fried chicken is a must! Will absolutely be back, and will be recommending to all of my friends. Thank you for the absolute wonderful time, especially in the midst of a crazy year!
Favorite restaurant in Vancouver. The food is outstanding and amazing value, excellent cocktails, the staff are all so friendly and attentive. Can't say enough nice things about this place. A+ all around. We love it and frequent all the time.
Great for everyday dining. Portions were kind of small and it took a long time for the foods to come out but i liked the restaurant ambiance
Delicious food. Great service! Had the fried chicken, Brussels sprout salad and the duck. All fantastic. Service was excellent, super friendly. 100% will come back.
I have wanted to try Torafuku for quite awhile now and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing! The cocktail I ordered was delicious and our server was great. I will definitely be going back for more!
Always impressed with their food and drinks!! The new winter menu is delicious and well curated for the season! My favourite place in vancouver and also felt really good dining in - they have all the right appropriate covid protocols in place! So lucky to have chef Steve making delicious menus!
Great food. Wish they had the omakase option but pandemic is what it is.
The cocktails were generally a bit overpriced. But the omakase tasting menu was totally worth it.
Menu changed since our last time there, love the fois gras
I love this place! A favorite ❤️
We went for the Thanksgiving dinner set and what a delicious menu! Anything you get here will be amazing!
Delicious set menu, the Chef’s Omakase in a lovely setting with helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Ordered testing menu for 5, but the actual amount is close to 3.
