Toscano Ristorante Italiano at Atlantic Station
Olive oil for the bread was bitter . We sent it back twice. We asked for butter but it never came. Arancini was warm at best with limited flavor . Spicy Blackened Chicken pasta had excessive amount of salt and red onions in it .Chicken tasted like it was from a can with no blackening on it. I understand spicy Blackened Chicken is Cajun inspired but the ridiculousness of what was served was appalling ! Does nobody taste test food before it goes out ?
Drinks were strong . Staff attentive but if food is tasteless what's the point.
You are better off eating frozen pasta meal from your local supermarket
I will give them another chance at some point. I understand they are new and are working out the kinks. However, our rice ball appetizers were ice cold, the meatball portion inside the rice balls was literally frozen. The food was terrible, no flavor and was incorrect. I ordered Chicken Piccata and I subbed the mash potato for spaghetti, but they gave me Ziti, no big deal, pasta is pasta. But you would expect them to toss it with oil and garlic, but they literally gave me plain pasta. My wife ordered their spiced chicken penne which every server recommended but they must not have added the spicy part. Also, we noticed that the other folks that ordered the same plate came out with a red sauce but my wife's did not. Finally, our order took forever, the wrong meal was brought to our table, and the people that sat across from us (arrived 30 min after us) got their meal before us. The only good thing I can say is that our server was very nice and gave my wife a free glass of prosecco. I attribute these mistakes to being new and short staffed, so I will give them another chance and will hope for the best.
I sat at the bar and I had lovely time. I loved my food and the barista was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
My Wife and I went here on a date and had a great time. Great Food and Drinks!
For the price the food was okay - the Calamari was good though. I could have dined somewhere else for a better ambiance, scene, service a Italian cuisine.
Nice location, but even the interior looked more like a tavern type of spot and again for the price it wasn't what I expected.
I went to catch up with a friend. The food was good but when it came time to pay, I decided to foot the bill and she would leave the tip. She left 20% on the table and I left a note on the top line that it was on the table. The waitress still took an additional 20% tip off my card. Do not trust them with your money. They have low caliber people working there to take 40% tip off a decent meal taking advantage of my financial information.
Great food and drinks.
Girls night out was awesome thanks for the pleasant experience.
Great authentic Italian dishes, nice atmosphere and a very kind and energetic waiter. Great first experience!
First time at Toscano....Won’t be our last. Food was excellent, portions were large, service was fantastic. The manager was welcoming at the door as well as accommodating on menu change as I wanted an appetizer changed to a dinner entree with other changes. For those of you who enjoy mussels, I highly recommend their appetizer. The rice ball appetizer that was in fact my appetizer brought me back 40 years to my home in NY. The chopped salad was so large I had to bring it home. The penne ala vodka with chicken added was delightful. We finished off the meal with a fantastic tiramisu. I am usually over critical of restaurants. As a former chef, a native New Yorker and one big pain in the butt, let me tell you....this place is a gem.
While the food was delicious and the service was amazing, we will not be returning simply because this establishment adds a "Non Cash Adj." for credit card payments. When I asked the server what that was for, she said if we would need to pay cash to avoid the charge. I did go back and it is reflected on their menu that they will charge 3.95% so at least they warn you. Compared to other Italian restaurants in Atlanta, the pricing they offer isn't necessarily cheaper. Our meal was $57 and we shared an appetizer, soup, and carbonara with one cocktail. Not a big savings and I think it is part of the cost of doing business to accept credit cards. We eat out often in Atlanta and around the US and have not experienced this anywhere. Who carries cash anymore? Typical fees for cards are 1.5% for most cards and 2.9% for AMEX (which they don't have to accept, as most people have alternatives), so this business is padding their profits by charging 3.9% on the majority of checks they process. SHAME ON THEM!!!
Lovely brunch, beautiful atmosphere, attentive wait staff and management.
I celebrated a birthday dinner for my best friend, everyone had a good time. I loved the private dining area for larger parties, it really made it an intimate feeling. Food and drinks were amazing!
As a huge fan of their other restaurant, Cibo e Beve, I was looking forward to dining here. This is a less fancy version of their other restaurant, but it fits in with the vibe of Atlantic Station. The panini I had was great, my friend's pizza was well portioned and looked amazing as well. Tiramisu is made on premises. The waitress was excellent and knowledgable on the menu, which is so refreshing after the recent experienced staffing shortage. We are looking forward to dining again!
Found out this was a new restaurant while we were there, but you couldn't tell! Our waitress was excellent, the food was delicious with huge portion sizes, and they gave me a free dessert for my birthday! I have already recommended this place to several friends. We will definitely be back!
