Toulouse is a very welcoming and relaxing restaurant with great food and premium service. It has a Louisiana/Cajun menu. We ordered and shared the mushroom ravioli with steak. It was very flavorful with a nutty sauce. We topped it off with the house specialty bread pudding, which was incredible. The prices were also reasonable. The atmosphere was causal with great bluesy tunes in the background to match the Louisiana flare. Highly recommended while in South Tahoe!

We got salmon and 2 burgers and a po boy sandwich and it was all incredibly delicious. We got to sit outside and it was quiet with great view of the mountains. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. We will keep coming back!

I went to Toulouse twice in the span of 1 week. The first time, on Sat Apr 8 was a lovely time. Service was good, food was good and the ambiance was great as the sun setting through the trees created a beautiful landscape right outside the windows. We enjoyed it so much we tried to return on Fri April 14th without a reservation. This was a huge mistake as staff did not know how to handle walk-ins. I was told by a young woman that she was waiting for her boss to look at their seating and reservation system before letting us know if they could seat us. Some time went by and she then told me they would not be able to accommodate us. I was disappointed but said I was waiting for my husband to return from the restroom (there’s very little space to wait and I felt I had to explain why I didn’t immediately walk out). In that time while I was waiting another older white couple walked in, also said they didn’t have a reservation but were interested in a table. By that time the young woman’s manager had returned and started to review the reservations and open tables to determine if he could accommodate the couple who had just walked in. I mentioned to him that we were also interested in a table, and had come in before the couple. At this point, 2 additional parties came in. A party of 3 without a reservation who had called ahead and another party with a reservation. This seemed to stress out the fellow reviewing the reservations and then a third employee got involved asking the other two how she could help, did she need to start clearing tables or what was needed. They conferred and returned to tell the older white couple they were getting a table and I was not getting a table because I was rude. This was completely untrue and unfair and honestly felt like a racist action. The whole thing was the single worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant and it ruined my night and nearly my whole weekend.

Toulouse was a great find. We are from Arkansas and know good Cajun cuisine. The crawfish etouffee was wonderful. Be sure to add the andouille sausage. It had a very nice kick of spices. My son had the po boy and was raving about it. To be honest, Tahoe has many excellent restaurant choices, but you should fit this one in while you're there.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! The food was phenomenal and that’s saying a lot as a native from New Orleans. We had the crawfish etoufee, gumbo, and the shrimp poboy. If you love Cajun food, this is the place. We will definitely be back. The owner even came speak to us to make sure everything was great. Wonderful experience.

Valentine dinner at Toulouse was excellent. Third time here and the are consistent in quality and service. Both entrees- blackened salmon and mushroom ravioli with salmon were excellent. Casual atmosphere- not stuffy or pretentious. And I think the value is good for the quality you get when compared to other fine dining in Tahoe. Makes it a favorite.

Everything was outstanding! Great find & not too far from the Marriott Hotels near the Gondola. We started with a fantastic gumbo then grilled andouille sausage followed by etouffee & salmon for main meal. All were wonderfully prepared. Jon and his team made you feel right at home. Leave room for the yummy bread pudding.

Really enjoyable dinner at Toulouse. Gumbo was exquisite, service was fantastic and the Funkadelic soundtrack was the perfect accompaniment for our meal. We will definitely be returning.
