   We both ordered the omakase( chef's tasting menu). It was by far the BEST SUSHI we have ever had (and we do get to experience some amazing omakase sushi in the NYC area!). A number of the courses had Japanese fish that we have never tried before and was extremely fresh. Although we didn't try them, they also have a nice selection of Japanese appetizers including Takoyaki and Karaage. Very authentic! We would definitely return here.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to this amazing restaurant. We can surely say that the quality of the sushi and sashimi rivals that of some of the best high end Manhattan sushi bars. If you are visiting Puerto Rico and desire top quality, don't miss out on Toyosu!

    The service was outstanding, however, the unrivaled quality of the sushi left us speechless. The assortment of bluefin tuna accompanied with freshly grated wasabi that we had was outstanding. The otoro melted in our mouths. Sushi rice was perfect. If you are in the San Juan area and are in search of sushi, don't miss out on the chance of dining here.

    Best sushi in San Juan!! You can go for premium Japanese fish which is not cheap, but amazing to splurge once in a while or just stay with the standard sushi at a reasonable price. What ever you choose is going to be amazing

    I ordered the sushi combination and could not believe how insanely great it was. Coming from New York, I can say that the quality of the sushi rivals that of what is offered in the high end New York sushi scene.     While not outwardly critiquing while I was in the experience - I am home and feeling disappointed… The little Japanese touches one is accustomed to during a fine dining omakase experience simply weren’t there. No hot towel to clean your hands when you arrive. No fresh cut ikebana in the space. The miso soup is never served with a spoon in Japanese dining unless asked for! Green tea is always free with your meal. These are standards of Japanese culture. The lack of thoughtful cultural touches that make Japanese dining so special were enough to speak much louder than the quality of the fish (which was well prepared & the sushi rice was perfect). As a part of the fine dining industry in many roles for two decades- I always tip 20% & applaud restaurants that made gratuity a part of the cost automatically. However, your team didn’t present this as a radical & necessary change in the dining paradigm that you’re proud to collect. It is written in a small blurb at the end of your menu & then not itemized on the bill. Shame. Own it - present it as it is, a minimum of good service that guarantees a living wage for your employees. I’m so sorry to say the expectations of the cost & marketing of this establishment don’t match the quality of experience that you are providing and that I know your team is capable of. I cannot recommend that people take on this expense simply for the fish.

    We ordered the Lovers Deluxe Combination. The fish was extremely fresh and had a beautiful presentation. It was my first time having fresh Japanese wasabi, I can't believe the difference and how much better it is than the fake wasabi I've been eating everywhere else. The service from both the staff was spot on and they were very attentive to us.

    If you are looking for quality fresh fish, look no further! So ordering full pieces (sashimi, not just rolls) is recommended. In terms of the Omakase Experience, it is centered around quality, not around the “show” that characterizes the experience in America.

    I had an amazing experience. Went there to celebrate my anniversary and it was an excellent choice. Lots of foods that I had not tried, I had the opportunity of tasting here. The waiter and chef were very attentive, and complemented the experience with recommendations that did not dissapoint. It felt like a very special moment, inspiring me to visit again.

    The best sushi in Puerto Rico, by far. The fish is flown in directly from Japan. The sake and whisky selections are excellent, as well. You’d have to go to NYC to get sushi of comparable grade.

    Quiet Little Place with great food and great service after looking online with so many mixed reviews from other restaurants this is the only one with consistent five star reviews so we decided to give it a shot.     Not just the best quality sushi in Puerto Rico, but possibly a level of fish that cannot be exceeded by Nobu, Masa or the like. In other words, it just doesn’t get any better—but be forewarned—you pay for it. And I gladly did, because the finest quality sushi is my dream meal, and this place delivers. Aside from that, owner/host Jeffrey is a sweetheart of a guy and cherishes what he serves you. No, he is not Japanese, but he may as well be, as the authenticity of the sushi does not suffer at all.

    When you walk in your welcomed to an aesthetic and intimate environment. Jeffrey is likely to be the one greeting you at the door with a smile and great drink recommendations. I highly suggest you sit at the sushi bar where the chef will guide your taste buds on a sensory adventure! The FOOD is the true highlight of the experience !!! The fish melts in your mouth accompanied with hand made fresh wasabi. The flavors are unlike any you’ve ever had when it comes to fish. Get the otoro negamiki and the sashimi sampler ! You will be delighted and all other sushi restaurants rendered insuperior. Do yourself a favor and make the reservation ! You won’t be disappointed.

    Last night I did the Omakase, and let me tell you it was the BEST fish I have ever had. Getting their fish flown in from Japan means there is no other sushi place in Puerto Rico that compares! The quality of food and service you receive at iSushi is worth EVERY penny!
