   The meal was extremely overpriced, the food was cold and not good. They didn’t have our reservation when we arrived and tried to sit us directly next to the band’s speaker even though the place was empty. And fought us that the other tables were reserved, even though we had a reservations and those tables were never sat the entire time we were there. I would not go back again.

   We reserved Sunday Brunch but walked out after waiting and waiting for service. They are very understaffed. It’s definitely not worth the wait.

   The food was fantastic, as was the service of our waiter. However, actually getting a seat in the actual restaurant rather than the bar area was a bit of a duel. When we made the Open Table reservation, we had assumed we would be seated in the restaurant proper, as there was no mention we would not. The staff initially tried to seat us in the more crowded and noisy bar area. (If we had wanted to go to a bar, we would have made a reservation for a bar). We persevered, and were indeed finally seated in the restaurant itself. The restaurant itself is very nice, and once seated there, the evening was enjoyable. If the management wants to seat people only in the bar area, it should say so on Open Table.

   Valentine’s Day dinner (9:00 reservations). I really wish any member of the staff would have checked in with us after i voiced how long it took just to get my drinks (over 25 minutes). This was a dinner that we looked forward to and cost over $350. All the food was good when it eventually came out. There were no visits from the server… no offers of drinks to keep us patiently withstanding an obvious difficult night for the restaurant. What should have been an impressive night for me and my wife turned into me apologizing for not picking another place. This isn’t a review I wanted to write and and I could have forgiven so much with the right attention or attempt at service after the fact. I’d love to try it again but with so many choices out there, I just don’t expect to risk another stressful night out. … if I ever hear from someone over there I will go in with an open mind and would rate them fairly.

   We went here for Valentine’s Day with an 8pm reservation and did not get our entrees until after 10:30pm. When we did get entrees, my steak was cold and the Brussels sprouts were piping hot, the Mac and cheese had a collection of oil in the bowl, and we had not even had our water replenished or been offered a drink or something for the inconvenience until we asked for the check to leave at which point our entrees magically appeared. The restaurant was not very crowded, there was a prixe fixe menu that should have made the meals come out more smoothly, but still it was the longest wait for the bad food I’ve had in a long time. My husbands corn risotto and salmon were delicious.

    My expectation was that there would be a nice, quiet area to sit in normal table and chairs. There was nothing but a Lounge and the Bar. The service was good but the seating and surroundings were below my expectations. Way over priced for the experience that was provided.

    This is a lounge not a dinner restaurant where reservations are needed. The “restaurant” is not open for dinner. There is basically a lounge where you can order food.

    They are on a limited menu which is fine but was not advertised as such on their website. I made the reservation based on the full menu that is listed on the website. You have your option of buffet or ordering off of the limited menu. When we sat down, after about 15 minutes we eventually had to wave someone down to order water, coffee and let them know we wanted to order from the limited menu. The server rarely checked on the table, forgot requests for water or coffee and sides. We had to flag her down every time and ask for things for a second time. Eventually we gave up on things and asked for the check.

    This is not a restaurant it is a lounge. We made reservations for a birthday dinner, on arrival we were told the restaurant is only used for breakfast. They serve dinner in the lounge and we were seated at lounge tables and chairs… Impossible to eat comfortably from. It’s such a shame because it is such a beautiful place, and the food is really good, especially the she crab soup. But the service is so terrible. From the slow Valet, to indifferent bartenders, to incredibly slow white staff. You are not treated the way a place with such ambience should treat their guests. This was my second visit here, because I decided to give them a second chance. I’m sorry to say it will be my last. There are too many great restaurants in Atlanta to settle for less than.

    It simply did not meet the upscale, luxury expectation set in the advertisement, or of any other high end hotel bruch experience we had ever had. We were seated in the general dining room with everyone who did not purchase the Father’s Day Brunch, the hotel’s red-eyed guests who rolled out of bed and shlepped it down to the chow line in their bed head, shorts and undershirts. The hostess tried to seat us at a dirty table. Ambiance was no-music, fussy children and kitchen noise. Not a tablecloth to be found. No one greeted us to explain the set up. Service was slooooow, to scarce. They hotel simply opened a connecting room with a few non-breakfast items and allowed the Father’s Day brunch patrons to have full access to all buffet offerings. The food was cold, tasteless, options extremely limited, Only water, coffee, or OJ offered. Our bunch was miserably disappointed, and left hungry. It was truly one of the more expensive dining disappointments we had ever experience. We would have been better off at Waffle House or McDonalds. At least we would not have felt so ripped off.

    Maybe it was an off day or time, but there were zero staff. Zero. And no other diners. We decided to sit at the bar instead and waited 20 minutes for someone to show up, and then it took him another 10-15 minutes to notice us. The food was fine, but not worth the service.

    They were extremely unorganized and the food took forever. We made reservation but when we arrived we still had to wait 35 minutes. The food was okay and the wine was good, and the waiter we ended up with tried his best and was very kind. The first waitress who we spoke to took no effort to help us.     The food was great when it finally came out. We were the only table and could not get served. We had to ask repeatedly for the drinks we had ordered in the bar area. We almost left, but it was Christmas day & we weren't sure who else was open. At one point we couldn't get our server so we went to the bar & ordered drinks & got them quickly there. It was really terrible. We had reservations, so they knew we were coming & there were only 8 of us, so I'm not sure why it was so difficult. Other diners left before their meals came. If there was a problem, they should have let us know. That may have helped our frustration.

    We had Christmas Dinner at Trade Root and expected so much more for the price. The service was off as we sat down for 20 minutes before having to ask for help. We had to ask for everything and dishes piled up on the table before they were removed. The food seemed like some was previously frozen as the crab claws were tired. The boiled shrimp was good but the gnocchi was hard and tough to chew. They had a good cheese display with bread. There were three carving stations but everything was overcooked especially the prime rib. The cost was way too much at $95 a person without drinks and we won’t go back.

    I would not recommend the Christmas Brunch. It was held in a conference/meeting space that lacked ambiance. The food was slightly above average. It was very difficult to get service. For the price, the experience was not worth it. The only positive thing I could say is the desert station was impressive.

    The worst buffet ever. It was like going to a nursing home cafeteria. The brunch was not held at the restaurant instead they put us in one of their conference rooms with cheap table cloth and cheap silverware. Almost every meal was dried out and no taste. Shocking considering this was formerly Ritz.
