    We loved it! Bruchetta was the best we have ever had, also had the risotto balls and a pizza, all delicious. We can't wait to go back and have the bruchetta again and try some pastas. Our server Kendra was fabulous too.

    This was our second visit in a week. Everything was loved by every member of our family. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We are new to the area and they made us feel welcomed.

    Food was good, just missing a bit of oomph Had the bruschetta. That’s a bad idea anywhere in HFX in November, tomatoes aren’t in season. I have been craving it so I ordered anyway. Tomatoes were not great (pink insides) and it needed salt. Once the oil and tomato soaked the focaccia that piece was way better. Cesar salad was thick with a creamy dressing and cheese. It needed a little more acid (maybe lemon juice to thin it), garlic and salt. And my dinner guest who had the same agreed on the thickness of the dressing and that there was a lot of bacon. For some that’s probably awesome but we both left lots of bacon behind on our dishes. My husbands Vesuvius pizza was fantastic The other person had the soup that was beautifully present and he said nice and mellow along with the lasagne that was cheesy and filling. You can’t beat the crust here…so maybe stick to the pizza? The servers were busy but everyone was so nice. The staff were smiling too, so that tells a lot especially when it’s an open pizza oven prep area. Would we go back? A solid maybe. Without ordering booze our meals were really reasonable. But these days going out is a treat so I’m not sure if I’d go back any time soon.

    Service was slow. Food was not good. Caesar salad was soggy due to too much dressing. Pasta sauce was so spicy hot and not good. Pizza was OK. Have had better elsewhere.

    Had a fabulous meal at that beautiful restaurant, and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend Trattoria Vesso to anyone looking for a boot room with exceptional food.

    We really enjoyed our evening. The waiter was particularly nice and very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and we will definitely be back another time.

    We had a salad with a lot of bread in it, artichokes etc. It was very good. Everything paired well together. The pizza sauce was so fresh, simple, delicious. We live 2 hours away but this will be a stop each time we come to the city.

    This is our favourite restaurant in Halifax. The kids love getting to play with the pizza dough and the kids meals come very quickly. They devour the food! The service and food from an adult perspective is first class. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

    Salad had a bit too much dressing (greens weren’t crispy because they were heavy with the dressing). I had the home-made rigatoni verde and was pleasantly surprised…it was perfect. I eat lots of Italian and never heard of a sauce with broccoli but it was a hit. Price was relative to most restaurants of this style/service. We will return!

    Food was very good. Calzone - excellent Pasta sauce was a little bit bland Gluten free pizza sauce as excellent! Staff was very friendly and had a nice chat. Very welcoming.

    Best artisanal pizza in Halifax - I was having lunch with a friend I had not seen in many years. I made a reservation and a lovely special table was set aside for us. The meal was delicious, pacing was perfect and our server was attentive without hovering. Love it!!

    A must for those visiting Halifax. This is a staple for my family! My husband and I love a romantic dinner or we take our Uni kids and have a great time! Amazing menu, good pricing for the quality, and amazing service!

    Great food and service. I felt the draft at $9 is a bit much. I limited you to only having one when you are on a budget. A bit noisy last night but probably due to families of tourists.

    This is a family friendly restaurant that we will visit again. My girls (5 and 8) were given pizza dough to shape while they watched pizzas being made in the wood-fired hearth, while we waited for our meals. Their dough was cooked and brought out with their meal. They had pasta, while my wife and I shared Arancini and a pizza. The food, along with the service, was terrific. Highly recommend this restaurant! It has an inviting atmosphere and is a short walk from the Halifax waterfront.

    We had arancini and a pizza, both were delicious! I was also able to make substitutions on our pizza. Service was friendly and efficient, and my child felt very special with the pizza dough to play with, a nice touch to compliment the experience. I always enjoy the ambiance here, it's lively without being too loud to have a conversation, plus, the tables are spaced far enough away you don't feel like you're jammed next to another party. We'll be back soon!

    Very clean restaurant with great menu options for anyone from basic thin crust pizzas to pizzas that you may never even knew you would like. Little to no wait time for food and it’s served very hot.

    Fabulous food ambience and service. However the noise from transport trucks was loud and constant. Should have sat indoors but I’ll go again for sure. Great lunch

    A slice of Italy in Halifax! The service was excellent, our server Steve was top notch. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and bringing the kids dough to play with while waiting for their food was a nice touch. 10/10 and we’ll definitely be back :)
