ALWAYS one of our favorite places on Federal Hill to visit. This is as authentic a Tuscan menu as you can find. We had the Ossa Bucco special with fabulous risotto - the flavors were amazing, the veal just fell apart. My girlfriend had Chicken Parmesan with Gnocchi to sample the fabulous red sauce - smoky and delicious. Beautiful ambience and great service here always.

My wife and I went to APPIA on a Sunday evening, very few customers in the restaurant. Service was good we enjoyed our bruschetta appetizer, cocktails and wine my wife’s gnocchi Nonna and my spaghetti Vongole were very bland lacking flavor. There are too many good Italian restaurants locally we have no desire to return

Service was extremely slow and not the fault of our waiter who warned us as soon as he came to our table. My meal was delivered almost (20) minutes after everyone’s else. One diner paid $26 for a very small dish of gnocchi al forna and did not have the added chicken that was ordered.

The experience at the restaurant Zooma was exceptional. We shared a salad, a pasta dish, and the swordfish. I savored a glass of Ripasso with the meal, and my wife had a mocktail. The service was very professional, and the entire atmosphere was superb. I would return to this fine restaurant in a heartbeat. Congratulations, well done.

The restaurant is beautiful and exudes Italian ambience. And the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the homemade pasta in a bolognese sauce and it was wonderful!! The staff was very friendly, especially the bartender, Ray. He was very thoughtful in helping my husband and I select our drinks, highly recommend the Aperol spritz. We will definitely visit Trattoria Appia again.

Service from kitchen was slow but our server, Darrell, was outstanding--attentive and warm. Also, special nod to the runners. We were flush in bread and water and service items cleared quickly. We will be back!

The Osso Bucco was the best of the 4 entrees. All the salads were poorly dressed and not much on the plate. We had been here previously and this meal was significantly lower quality than before. The place has changed names (went from Trattoria Zooma to Trattoria Appia) and perhaps some things got lost along the way.

We've been going to Zooma for years and was surprised when we saw it is now called Trattoria Appia. The food was very good as usual but we couldn't help notice the always spotless restaurant (inside) was a little dirty. We had food and a napkin under our table. There were only a couple tables inside that were occupied so employees could have "cleaned" a little bit. There are also flies by the windows every time we go there. It is very disrupting to be swatting flies while you try to eat. Either keep the windows open or closed. If a fly lands on my food - I'm not eating it and likely won't return.

Made a same day reservation for my birthday. Was a bit late due to finding parking but hostess was very nice and held my reservation. Our server was so sweet and made excellent recommendations. Food, drinks and desserts were amazing. Although it said my table will be reserved for an hour and 45 minutes, we did not feel rushed at all. Thank you, we had a great time. Will definitely return.

The bread tasted stale. The fried eggplant was overcooked (crumbs were blackened). The cavatelli were heavy and undercooked. The veal was tough and the piccata sauce was way, way too lemon-y. Overall, a disappointment,

I drove from Boston to take my wife here for her birthday and we had one of the best experiences ever at this restaurant. Anthony the waiter was amazing and extremely helpful with the menu. The food OMG…. was excellent!!!!! We will be coming back again and again.

We always have a great meal at Zooma and this visit was no exception. It did take longer than usual to get our food but it was delicious. We couldn't help but notice a banner with a new restaurant name on the front of Zooma. Hoping the food and quality doesn't change.

We sat at the bar and had an excellent bartender named Emma. She made us fantastic drinks, and was very attentive. We had the calamari for an appetizer and it was delicious, some of the best we have had. We each had a past for dinner and they were excellent and we had tiramisu for dessert which was also well done. This place is definitely a great find!
