   We celebrated Mother's Day at Tres Palms with an outdoor table on a beautiful afternoon. The service and the food were outstanding. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and sandwiches. Everything was delicious. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. The only problem we had (and it was a big one) were the number of tiny biting insects at the table. There were hundreds of them. We switched our table twice, but had no luck. They were not only biting us, they were dropping into our food and drinks. Not appetizing at all! I happened to see a can of "Off" bug spray that another table had left behind, so we all sprayed ourselves and that seemed to help a bit. If this bug infestation can be remedied with bug zappers or some sort of areal treatment, that would be helpful. Aside from that, everything was great.

    THE MENU ON THE WEB SITE WAS NEVER CHANGED AS FAR ASPRICES. mY DINNER WAS LISTED AS 33.00 ON THE WEB SITE WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY 45.00. THE PAELLA WAS BASICALLY RICE WHICH WAS SOUPY WITH MUSCLES SHRIMP NO CHORIOS AND A COUPLE PIECES OF CALAMARI SO MINISCULE YOU COULDN'T EVEN SEE THEM. THE CLAM CHOWER WAS VERY GOOD. IT WAS EXTREMLY LOUD AND THERE WERE A COUPLE VERY DRUNK PEOPLE DISRUPTING THE WHOLE ROOM, CURSING LOUDLY AND THERE WERE CHILDREN IN THE ROOM. IT USED TO BE GOOD BUT I WOULD NEVER GO BACK

    Kay our server was great. Only two tables in the entire restaurant but for some reason the music was super loud. Good tunes but definitely overkill volume wise. Food was good. Mussels had flavor but were on the small side. As were the oysters. Split the paella. Not bad. Again mussels on the smaller side but the location was great and that’s what you go for.

    This was our first experience. We will be back. Food and drinks were great. Not a cheap night for us, but we both had drinks, shared an appetizer and dessert, and my husband got one of the pricier specials. Looks like a fun place for summer dining. Beautiful location on the water.

    Well I had the shrimp and zucchini with linquine...first the zucchini could have been cooked longer...the dish otherwise was tasty. Now my husband had the stuffed fluke...what was it. The fluke he said good...but then you put it on top of sweet potatoes, with bok choy and a lobster sauce. Too many flavors...thanksgiving...seafood...chinese. so not so good.

    Very disappointed in the size of the quesadilla for the price. As a vegetarian, this was one of the only menu items I could order so $16 for a small quesadilla was not worth it.

    A group of us met for appetizers, drinks, & a book club discussion. What better place to sit on the last day of summer than outdoors at Tres Palms? Our book was set at a lighthouse and we enjoyed the view of Fire Island lighthouse. Drinks, apps, & service were all flawless. Superb location!

    Food was good BUT Extremely small portions. $18 for 5 baked clams slightly larger than a quarter. Portions need to be larger for what they charge. Paid $25 for a chicken Caesar salad with one piece of grilled chicken breast; fries were inedible. Ended up being $200 for appetizers for 4, one being a child who got chicken fingers, and none of us were full after. Our order was two cocktails (all ice and juice), an order of calamari (delicious but again very small portion), two orders of baked clams, one kids chicken fingers, an order of nachos and two Cesar salads only one of which had chicken, for $200 not including tip. Insane. I have been there before for lunch and it was much better. They need to work on their menu and portion sizes. Definitely will not be back for dinner anytime soon. The saving grace was the atmosphere and the view.

    The restaurant is nicely done. It’s theme is coastal casual which makes perfect sense as it’s sitting on a dock. The room we were in was bright and airy background music playing not too loud unfortunately in the next room from us was an absolutely obnoxious screaming child who should have been taken out by his parents but wasn’t. That was the only downer about our meal Service was good food was very good and I would definitely come back.

    The cocktails were excellent along with wine choices. Appetizers were good except my oysters got lost in the shuffle somehow. Our main course was excellent and everyone had a different choice so 6 separate delicious entrees. We had invited friends from Nassau who will definitely be back !!

    Tres Palms was highly recommended by friends who had been there. It has a sea side vibe and casual atmosphere. The menu pricing, however, is commensurate with a more upscale restaurant. The seared tuna dish, one of their specialties, had a lovely presentation and was delicious. The salmon dish was overcooked to the point of dried out. It was replaced with an undercooked salmon piece that was raw in the middle. The sauce that accompanied the dish was cold, as was the orzo. Not a good pick at all. The food came out very quickly, too quickly to be freshly prepared. I won't be going back.

    This is one of our favorite places. The service is always great, the atmosphere reminds you of the Caribbean. The food was always great in the past, but this visit disappointed us. The lobster nachos, our favorite, was bland and tasteless. The calamari was chewy, and the breading fell off. Baked clams were really good. Don’t know what the problem was, but May be reluctant to go again. Parking is terrible. They have a decent parking lot, but since there are no lines for the doors, people park haphazardly.

    The food was tasty. The server was very helpful and friendly. The money paid did not provide proper value. The portions were small. The surf and turf with a small filet and 4 shrimp was $61. I was set to order the Special lobster bake, and was told it was $10 higher than the menu price. The cost was similar to higher end places.
