Food delicious, and very expensive. We did wine pairings, which were perfect. Menu was traditional. Room is dingy, and the bar area in the front seems to be sort of a club for neighbors, with some badly behaved children running around. But altogether we enjoyed our evening.

5 star all the way. The food was delicious, the service outstanding, killer wine list.. what a great date! Ordered the tasting menu. Couldn’t be happier. Just go… we also loved that the restaurant had a laid back, non stuffy vibe with high quality, creative food. Wasn’t to noisy so you can have conversations and intimacy. The flavors, textures and presentation of each dish was spot on. Can’t wait to go back. Chris the owner is personal, attentive and friendly as is the rest of the staff.

We had an amazing experience visiting Troquet. The place is really beautiful and the interior has several elements reminding of the past of the building. The food was truly delicious. The way it was served starting with the freshly baked bread in the basket with a scoop of butter to the entree and the desserts - all was great! But what made the experience absolutely special - the people who work there. All the suggestions, sense of humor in the presentation of the meals and the knowledge of the area - we are coming back for sure!

Their dinner rolls with butter were to die for. I liked the drinks, the crudo appetizers. The cholcolate soufle dessert. I love ricotta cheese, but for some reason was not thrilled with their ricotta cheese appertizer.

Beautiful restaurant with impeccable service. What we ordered was delicious, although the tuna tartar was a little disappointing. Portions are small for the price, we had four appetizers and dessert and left not fully satisfied.

The 7 course tasting menu was great. It was a bit too much food for us so next time, we wi try the 5 course. The foie gras and raw fish (salmon, tuna and scallops) were our favorites.

We picked Troquet on South to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. We did the tasting menu and it was decadent! The atmosphere, the food, our amazing waitress, the drinks! Everything was superb! Highly recommend!!!!

My wife and I traveled to Boston from Indiana to eat at Troquet because it was where we had our engagement dinner 16 years ago at the previous location. The first time was such a special experience we wanted to relive the experience but wasn’t sure how it would compare. This time did not disappoint. The staff members were very accommodating and our server went over and above to make sure our evening was everything hoped it would be. We ordered the seven course chef sampling. Everything we were brought was a visual masterpiece and had an incredible explosion of flavor to match. We were incredibly pleased and will definitely return the next opportunity we get to travel back.

Ahhhh Troquet how that word makes my heart sing. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything about it makes me smile. The food presentation, level of customer service, the ambiance and the wine selection. It is certainly upscale but not pretentious. Oysters have always been clean, well selected and shucked. At all of our dining visits to Troquet, at least one person orders the "duck two ways" and it has always been superb. The owner has a significant wine collection to drool over and knows his stuff. My husband and I always feel welcome and having the speakeasy, Offsuit right next door is a unique concept that we also enjoy. Will continue to dine here and bring our out of town guests!

One of our favorite restaurants in Boston. Services is truly excellent and pacing is perfect (a rare find these days). Cocktails and food were also wonderful and, while it may not seem like a big deal, their bread and butter is phenomenal. Brought my parents here for my mother's birthday and they had a wonderful time. We'll be back!

My halibut was perfectly cooked, but very small. The vegetables were good too and I particularly liked the Jerusalem artichokes. However I didn't enjoy the wilted lettuce salad. I was alarmed at the noise level when I walked in, but there was a quieter room at the back with white clothed tables and we could converse fairly well. The biggest problem for me was that I had trouble finding it -- I was walking -- but they were gracious when I arrived late for my reservation (I had called to alert them). I'm not sure if I will go again, but it's clearly a very popular restaurant.

Excellent everything - we booked dinner before a show in the theater district and we were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. Really great oysters, entrees, bread, wine and service. We’d definitely go again- it’s much better than most pre-theater dinner places in Boston.
