Best restaurant in NYC. The food is always amazing, each plate is perfect. We took the specials of the day and it was perfect!! Try the burrata it’s one of the best I ever had!! Service is also great!! Book there for a romantic dinner or a a great night with friends you will never be disappointed!!

A small hidden gem in SoHo, away from the beaten path. The food is delicious, the team is lovely. It is a great place to go if you want a modern take on French classics and the ability to carry a conversation rather than be overwhelmed by loud music and guests.

I needed a spot for a spur of the moment Sunday brunch with my sisters at 10:30 am. They were one of the few places open that early. I’m so happy we went. The food was excellent and the staff did not rush us. I would definitely go back.

We had the burrata salad which was terrific The tomatoes had just picked off the flavor My coffee was expresso with water in it I had the hamburger. The tomato was under ripe so it made it hard to bite into. Usually french bistros have the best burgers. This was bland My daughter ordered the mussel special which had no flavor Again a speciality of french bistro She did not eat it and the waiter did not make any comment. Both of us having worked in the fine dining service, we were surprised.

The brunch items we had were very good - we had the croque monsieur and the omelette with ham and gruyere with fries on the side. A glass of Vouvray rounded out the meal and it was great too.

For a taste of France in New York, spend some time at Troquet. This restaurant is a comfortable place. Basically, it's the perfect place for a good brunch with friends (or family). We ordered Croque-monsieur, Wagyu Burger and Oeufs bio bénedicte. Each was very good, and with an "instagramable" presentations. My favorite dish was actually the sweet dish: French toast. The restaurant also offers an interesting wine list, which makes us want to go back for drinks or diner and taste the dishes of the diner offer.

A disappointing dinner on a wintry Saturday night ... very loud and noisy, with tables very close to each other. Every course came out of the kitchen cold and took forever to return heated replacements (and strangely my risotto portion was suddenly half the original size), with no fresh parmesan added. Very careless kitchen and slow service, with a waitress/hostess who was pleasant but too busy 'being busy' to be attentive. We live a few blocks away so this is a loss for them and us. We would have been frequent diners if this had not been a lousy experience, even though it is also somewhat overpriced generally.

They need more waitstaff. The poor waitress was completely harried, and we at several tables noticed that the food was cold by the time it got to us. The music was good but way too loud for conversation - it was loud enough to cause hearing loss, and I say this with knowledge of the subject.

Short staffed and both of our entrees (burger and risotto), were not only cold but refrigerated temperature! When we sent them back we were told that we would have to pay again if we wanted new ones as we had both taken a bite!!! Left and went to Au Cheval which was great. Troquet was absolutely awful.

Way to loud with the constant euro beat music turned up loud...food was good...music volume to high everyone was shouting to be heard....table too close to front door opening and cold gusts of air

We randomly selected this very small restaurant thinking it would be quaint and demure ambience. It was like a club atmosphere with waitresses continually pumping up volume and singing behind the bar. Noise was so loud three groups of couples behind us walked in and right back out. Won’t ever go there again. So loud I couldn’t even speak to people across the table without screaming.

French Bistro with a marble bar and simplistic décor, right on the corner of Lafayette and Grand. My friend saw this place on Instagram and suggested we should give it a try. We had a reservation for 8pm, not sure if was needed but anyway, we arrived there a few minutes early and were promptly seated. Service was pretty friendly and attentive (big bonus points!) Food: Gnocchi de pomme terre Troquet burger Frisee aux lardons Food was ok but nothing that I would be rushing back there for. I would definitely go again if Im in the area with no other plans or if you are looking for a relaxed open place to have some decent French bistro fare while catching up with friends. Drinks: White Bordeaux (yes, I like to be boring and skip the cute cocktails!) Negroni Spritz Peach Sangria Dessert: Carrot cake, was OK a little on the sweet side. Also, maybe a bit dry?? (don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad just that I have had better) Our waitress was super sweet and offered us a shot of tequila along with our shot. I skipped but is the thought that counts right?

Our server was very nice but service unprofessional. Kitchen doesn’t seem to know how to cook meats with temperatures requested or our server put it in wrong . Our meats were over cooked and some of the portions sort of unacceptable. My friend who ordered a hanger steak had his piece that was around 6 ounces. I wanted to give this place a try , especially for the Cote de bœuf which was a let down (lacked that dry age flavor) Deserts lacked creativity and some I could tell were sourced outside, the tarte tatin was the saddest I’ve seen in my life. I truly hope they improve but I won’t be back at Troquet

My friends and I dined at Troquet around the holidays. I always pass by since it's so conveniently located near all major subway lines. The ambiance is quite cozy, but a bit cramped. Evenings can get a little too loud, so if you're looking for something quiet, probably not the place. The food was good, locally sourced ingredients, great wine list. The bill for 3 inc. a bottle of wine came out to $160 excluding tip. The polenta gnocchi is an interesting choice, not too heavy and can be an appetizer size if you're really hungry. The fries look delicious. I will definitely have to try those next time. The steak for two also looked great as well.
