Our party of 6 went to True Food Kitchen last night with high hopes. The reviews on Open Table and Yelp were quite good. Perhaps we set our expectations too high ... Walking in the door, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and trendy. We were eating early to attend a show in Annapolis after dinner, so there was a lot of open seating. Noise was not a problem at this time of evening. I was the last to arrive. I was shown to our booth table. I sat on the cushion and immediately sank down at least 3" and I was sliding into my partner to the left. I'm short, so my chin was almost on the table. Our server was great, and patient with our decision making as this was the first experience eating here for all of us. It was still happy hour pricing on cocktails, they were around $8. I thought that was high for what was reported to be a moderately priced restaurant, and I live in Annapolis, I'm used to seeing high pricing. On to food. We were short on time, so no appetizers were ordered. There were 2 burgers, 2 poke bowls, a pot roast dip and I can't remember what the 6th person ordered, sorry. The bowls were heavily garnished with cilantro. That was not part of the meal description. If you don't like cilantro, speak up. All of our meals were fine, but not exceptional in any way. Staff was great. Free parking is easily accessible. If I go again, I'd request a table with chairs, not a booth.

Always great food and service is nice but it’s always slower than I’d like and very loud.

True Food Kitchen is by far my favorite place to dine! The menu is diverse AND delicious! I've introduced many of my friends and family to True Food and now they return on there own! I be back soon!

We love True Food so much! Our server, Jules was awesome!!!! The edamame dumplings and the blanco pizza are great options. So excited for the next season’s menu!

Very friendly waitstaff! Food was good. Had to order iced green tea since they were out of black tea. Could have used more ice in drinks, but overall absolutely wonderful place for lunch with friends.

Service is slow and it was not busy. Wife’s rainbow trout was thin and burned. Food was mediocre. Drinks were good.

When the restaurant first opened, I had heard mixed reviews about the menu choices. That it was limited. But we found the menu to be full of choices for everyone in our party and their dietary needs.

Simply put, I will never be back at True Food. We were told the bartender would not make a drink on their brunch menu so I had to choose something different. Then our food took ages to come even though we were one of 4 tables. The potatoes were burnt to a crisp. The side of toast did not come until we were almost finished our meal. Terrible service, small portions, inattentive staff.
