   We were visiting Nashville for the 1st time and asked someone at Church of the City downtown and they'd recommended True Food as a healthy option. We were really pleasantly surprised. Nice outdoor patio ambiance w lots of seating. Awesome menu w tons of variety and the waitress asked if there were any specific food sensitivities/allergies to be noted. Food was delicious. We were so uncertain which to pick we actually each ordered two brunch items, knowing we could take it back and store in the fridge. Would definitely go there again. Not inexpensive but great to eat something healthy and feeling homemade and a far cry from the bar food easily obtained in most downtown/Broadway establishments.

   Fresh Ingredients and Healthy Alternatives. We ordered the Salmon and Ramen Noodle bowl. The Salmon Entree was excellent with pesto, roasted onions, broccolini, salmon cooked to request, and grains. The Ramen Noodle bowl - jalapenos made it spicy. They forgot to hold jalapenos. Need to have a fork to eat because the noodles just slide off. It's a large portion with lots of broth, chicken, veggies.

   Our second experience at the Greenhills/Nashville location. Possibly not the best dining experience on Mothers Day, at 5:00, and with our reservations, the restaurant was packed. Our seating location was poor and very noisy for inside dining—the staff seemed overwhelmed. We were surprised at how good the food tasted, considering the volume of people ordering—but the dishes were delivered abruptly. After we finished eating we left, without ordering more. Our server tried to engage us in small talk but this was not the timing for that. We will return.

   True Food Kitchen's menus are excellent. That said, they were more than a tad understaffed for mothers day crowds, and the price/value metric is a near miss. Food makes up for that, or at least most of it, but go in knowing it's slow, crowded and noisy.

    We had reservations for 3pm Mother’s Day brunch and were told when making the reservation that brunch could still be ordered at that time. We arrived early at 2:45 and checked in. We waiting to be seated until almost 4pm. We were then told Mother’s Day brunch was over at 3 and we could no longer order off that special brunch menu, which is what we came for. The restaurant was packed, our waiter was running around like crazy, the food we ordered was fine but was disappointment to drive from murfreesboro for a brunch we couldn’t order because they were running so far behind.

    Two of our entrees were not hot. One was missing the cheese that came on it. Our appetizer came with a very small portion of pita that looked more like sliced up tortillas. Our waitress couldn’t have cared less if we were there.

    We went on Mother's Day, which is a busy day. The food took over an hour to arrive and was cold and lacked ingredients on the menu for both of our dishes. The manager was great and comped them and had them remade. The second take wasn't much better, just warm. The bison sausage was on tiny pieces and was hard as a rock, completely unedible. The waitress kept forgetting the things we ordered, a muffin, and dessert, and when the check came it was wrong. The atmosphere was loud, some kid seemed to have got ahold of the restaurant microphone and was making noises into it for a good 10 to 15 minutes. The topper for the day was going to the bathroom to find a used diaper on the toilet paper holder. This was the worst restaurant experience we have had in Nashville. A school cafeteria would make better food. The only highlight was that the manager quickly addressed the situation.

    Waited a long time past reservation just to have another hour wait for food that none of us could eat. Super disappointing and we will not be back. I have celiac, so was super hopeful at a nice healthful food opportunity and this will it be in my rotation or on my suggestion in the forums for my groups. The cost wasn’t an issue as much as not having food delivered after that long of a wait that isn’t good. No follow up service from the wait staff to mention it either. We paid on the scan and go and left.

    One of the worst dining experiences we've had in Nashville. Granted, this was Mothers' Day, but it was as if TFK was underprepared. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time, and then overlooked for 30 minutes after being seated. The server who finally showed up, after I flagged a different server, apologized, saying he had just been assigned to our table. It took another 20 minutes for him to return for drinks, at which time we pleaded that he take our food order as well. Our lunch finally arrived at 230pm (for a 1245pm reservation). My entree was less than lukewarm, which is unacceptable for an egg-based dish. Others around us that arrived after we did, were served much faster. It was if we had been targeted for "worst service of the day." When we left at 3pm, it was a relief to finally be free of TFK. Having frequented the Nashville TFK at least once per month for many years, it will be a long time before we return.

    It was Mother's Day and they were packed, but we did not receive our entrees until 1.5 hrs after we were seated. I'm not sure that I will ever go back again.

    For a allergy friendly, good tasting meal this is a fine choice. For a special event or something you want to reserve and have a special accommodations, go someplace else. Mother's day they clearly overbooked themselves and the quality of attention, speed of service, and general feelings left a lot to be desired. Food was fine if not good, but will be looking elsewhere for future dining.

    We went for Mother's Day brunch and it was wonderful. The drinks and food were great. We had a variety of items from the regular menu, as well as the special brunch menu. Our server was wonderful and the patio looked very clean and beautifully set. Would definitely go back!

    Food was delicious with many options. Had a great matcha tea too…it was delicious. Our server, Josie, was wonderful. She offered suggestions. Wish we had time for dessert! Next time we’re in town, we can try a dessert.

    This is one of our favorite places to have lunch or dinner in Nashville. The menu provides abroad array of choices and they use quality ingredients - always. This is one of the primary places we take out of town guests. Parking is always available on-site.

    We have dined at True Foods many times. It’s always great. I tried the Kimchi Fried Rice and added grilled chicken. It was excellent. The service here is always top notch.

    Love the healthy tasty options at True Food Kitchen and love how open and light it is but it was VERY loud when we ate dinner there last Friday. I have mainly been there for lunch in the past and the air handler is quite noisy but the acoustics aren't great and the music was blaring. So, even though where we were seated was only 1/3 full it was so loud we could hardly hear each other across a 2-top table. Also, my husband's food came out cold and our server was nowhere to be found so my husband carried his plate to the service area to get someone to help. A manager had the nerve to come to our table a few minutes later to reprimand him- saying next time he should wait for a server to take the plate so they would know where it came from. Seems they had no trouble to track us down for chastisement. The food was good but we probably won't be excited to go back any time soon.

    Overall the food was pretty good, not the usual excellence that we have come to expect. The service was slower than usual & waters were forgotten. Coffee had to be sent back twice b/c it was way too bitter & not extracted properly.

    The service was really poor. Our food came after we were seated for an hour. Two of us ordered the crustless quiche. We were told that our meal was so late because the kitchen had run out of the quiche and it had to be remade. When all the food arrived the quiches were overdone and minus the smoked Gouda. I found it to be inedible. We had a child under 2yrs old with us and his food (sliced avocado and tomato) arrived 45 min after we were seated. We had to ask the manager to compensate us which he did but would not have if we hadn’t asked him to specifically do that. Two of our party had previously eaten at a TFK so we knew this was not up to their normal standard. It was a VERY disappointing brunch.

    We have enjoyed True Food in the past for the health aspect of their food. This time, however, the food was very greasy, although still good-tasting. When I made the reservation, I indicated that it was my fiancées birthday but nothing was said. I didn’t expect much, but would have appreciated a happy birthday from the staff.
