Don't order a petit anything, it's so small ( 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 ) inch piece of fish is ridiculous just get a regular order. Other than that it's a great dinner spot for a special occasion.

I love the ambiance of the bar, especially with the live music. The wait staff are always courteous, knowledgeable, and unassuming. My favorite place in town for a relaxing afternoon/evening with very good seafood.

Lobster bisque was cold and had to be sent back. Lobster lumps were so rubbery that my guess is they just microwaved it. French fries were cold, like cold cold. branzino had so many bones, which were hard to find/eat in such a dark restaurant. They ran out of the Thanksgiving pumpkin cheesecake. Risotto was muchy and pasty. We have dined there several times and everything was amazing, so i think this was a one off but for over 700$ we expected a much better meal. Service was great though and we were very appreciative to those working the holiday.

Spent Thanksgiving dinner with my family at Truluck's near the Arboretum. The service was excellent and the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We did the Thanksgiving 3 course meal and it was well presented and prepared. Would definitely do Thanksgiving dinner here again. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect Thanksgiving dinner out. I typically cook the feast for my family, but decided I just wanted to relax and enjoy my time with them instead of sharing my labor of love by cooking. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal with the back drop of a live piano player. The hostesses and wait staff were very attentive, friendly and definitely gave five-star service! For all of this I am very grateful!

We usually go to the downtown Austin location and it has always been IMPECCABLE. For Thanksgiving dinner, we made reservations in advance, but downtown was booked up so we made reservations at the Arboretum location. It was bad from the beginning. They seated us at a table in front of the very busy doors leading into and out of the kitchen. I said I did not want to sit there and was told that was all there was. There was no option to wait up front for a table to open. The parker house rolls were room temperature. Very disappointing. The lobster bisque was also lukewarm. I could see from the container he poured it into my bowl that at one point it was hot. I wonder how long it sat somewhere before being brought out? The Florida stone crab claws were excellent as always. The Redfish Pontchartrain was well beyond “piquant” as the menu describes it. I later overheard the waitress tell another table that it is blackened. It was. Far too spicy. Again, very disappointed. I have had redfish Pontchartrain in New Orleans and it was NEVER blackened. Finally, the dessert. We ordered a petite chocolate malt cake and the pumpkin cheesecake. We wondered why it took so very long to make it to our table. We saw the waitress go in and out of the kitchen for 15 minutes. When she FINALLY brought dessert, the pumpkin cheesecake was frozen. You guessed it, another disappointment. I can only assume they were trying to that it quickly in the back. Long story short, we will NEVER return to the Arboretum location and will happily wait for a table at the downtown Austin location. So much for a happy Thanksgiving.

The food and service were outstanding. This was my second time dining at Trulucks and it did not disappoint! It was my birthday and everything was perfect. The staff made me feel celebrated. I’ve never eaten fish dishes that were as delicious as what we had. The Mediterranean Branzino was to die for, as was the crab cake and the crab claws, to me top it off, they brought a gorgeous and delicious baked Alaska to the table for the grand finale. It was a dinner to be savored and remembered. Thank you so much!

The food and service are consistently excellent at this location. Lately, I've noticed that the dining rooms are extraordinarily dark....to the point that I have a hard time getting the shells off of my crab! It's also been super cold over the last year - both in summer and in winter. Bring a cardigan and a flashlight & you'll love it!

Our first time there. Service was excellent! Very attentive. Food was a bit disappointing - one dish, Calamari was soggy and very greasy. My wife's miso sea bass was all taste of sugar miso glaze and not very good. Rib eye Steak was ok, but not worth the money and very salty. Side of asperagus looked great but also very salty. For an over $200 check was a very average meal

Trulucks is our favorite birthday dinner celebration restaurant. The food and service are above the rest and we will continue to go there for that level of experience. The Voila cocktail was fun show and the South African Lobster tail truly is the Rolls Royce of lobster.
