Truva - Downtown
Very authentic food, quiet and comfortable eating place. We had a great time eating there on Friday night
Great for a sit down lunch in downtown ATL. Service was great and food was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. I plan to go back again as well as going for dinner to experience the night vibe.
The food and service were wonderful. I will definitely be returning. It is a little on the pricey side when ordering drinks, but the food is worth every penny.
Service and ambiance were wonderful. The restaurant was fairly empty when my grandmother and I ate, which was perfect--we were able to talk and hear each other, which is not always possible at restaurants during dinner. The stuffed grape leaves were particularly delicious. The 4/5 for food (instead of 5/5) was more about portion sizes, which seemed quite small for the price. The stuffed grape leaves and cabbage were also inconsistent in size, with some much smaller than others. The bread, moussaka, stuffed cabbage, and stuffed grape leaves were very tasty, but grape leaves and bread stood out as gems.
Best restaurant we experienced in Atlanta. Our waiter did me right by suggesting the lamb chops. Outstanding!
Excellent Turkish food. The vegetarian moussaka was our least favorite. A bit too glooey.
Every time we come to Atlanta, my Turkish wife insists we eat at Truva. Authentic Turkish food, and the best we’ve had in America.
The food is very good and the atmosphere relaxed.
You may need to be a little patient since the servers' frequency of attending to your needs isn't very high. They're very friendly, though, when they do notice that you need something.
Include more veggies when serving entrees. More choices of drinks such as fruits juices.
They need to upgrade this place food was good service slow
It was pretty busy. The waiter forget my bread and olive oil but every one around me got it. He seemed to be busy with other customers and there was alot of time waiting. The food was out of this world and I would go back when they were not so busy. The lamb schwarma was very tasty.
Went 2 nights in a row, walked since it’s very close to the Downtown Hilton on Courtland. The food may not be 5 star gourmet but it is very delicious, fresh salads and bread, and meats/fish are grilled to perfection. Greeting and service very kind and attentive. Lovely ambience. There are stairs up, but also an elevator.
Excellent food. Definitely coming back.
Great ambience but the service was slow. It took almost an hour for our food to get to our table. There was a big party who came before us so I’m assuming this was the reason for the slow service. The bread for the table helped but on hindsight, we should’ve probably ordered appetizers to stave off our hunger. We were also on a time crunch so the lengthy wait didn’t help! Food service needs to improve, that’s for sure.
Great food, nice staff, good ambiance. The babaganoush, lahmacun flatbread, and kunefe dessert were particularly spectacular!
What a wonderful experience. Enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the attention to detail....
Loved the food and the ambience was very romantic. Perfect for a date night
Valentine's Day limited menu. No belly dancers. Soup was lukewarm...almost cold. Appetizers and soup were served together (despite 4 course meal).
Waitress disinterested, food served cold. I got the lamb chops - they were cold, and the rice and spinach beneath were also cold, which means the dish sat out for quite some time. Lamb chops were tough.
Only two deserts on limited menu but restaurant only had the one neither of us wanted.
"Manager" approached and gave me a cut off business card with only his first name (no last name, no contact information, no title) handwritten on the face - then said ask for me the next time we come....RIGHT...
I had great company - that saved the night - but Truva was an absolute disappointment.
Great food, even better service. Great romantic spot to spent Valentine’s Day!
One of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Great food and lovely atmosphere.
Our host Sharif was amazing. He made the experience for me and my friend an amazing one. Food was spot on and the decor / environment was very soothing and modern. I have found my next Go To Spot.
İsteklerime gösterdiğiniz ilgiden dolayı teşekkür ederim kardeşim Şerif.
Wonderful food and service.
The food was not bad. But I have had much better Turkish food elsewhere. Service was not very good and got really bad once a bigger party arrived.
My family and I visited Truva to celebrate a birthday. The dining room was nice but a little too dark for me. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. The staff was friendly and professional. Our waiter was excellent. He was attentive, and made suggestions about what to order. He came back often to make sure we were taken care of. The calamari appetizer was very good. The hummus was not good at all. The texture was weird and it lacked flavor. The pita bread was basic, bland bread. My family ordered lamb shank and it was too rare, which made the meat close to the bone tough. I had a whole Mediterranean fish which was small for the price. It was good, but not great. Although Mediterranean is our favorite type of cuisine, we would not go back to Truva. For about $200, the food should be memorable.
The restaurant was good but the negative experience was because we specifically mentioned to the server about an allergy to tomatoes for a family member. We ordered lamb chops which came with a side of spinach. When we got the dish after quite some time what do you think was on the plate with the lamb chops and spinach - 2 pieces of cut tomatoes. The juice from the tomatoes was of course now mixed in with the spinach as well. We hated to even mention it but when we did the server was non apologetic - he took the plate to the back and brought it back in less than 2 minutes - without the tomatoes. Not very professional in my book and what if the allergy was more serious, he didn't care. Will not be going back - my money can be spent elsewhere.
Always love the food. I have been there a few times over the past 3 years. Few thing have changed since my last visit. No more belly dancers, different staff. I spent a lot of time in the middle east, specifically Turkey. I liked going there because it reminded my of those days as I could speak with those from the area and speak about current events there. Had a nice Turkish feel to it. Now, the staff is not Turkish and they are surely not as attentive as before. Also, took some friends with me this time, which I always do, the liquor drinks were VERY pricey. To the tune of $20 a shot. WOW! Other then what Ive expressed, good times there.
Delicious Turkish cuisine. Service was very good. Slow night (Monday).
Wanted something a little different than your regular chain steak houses. The food was delicious! Great service. I’d definitely go back!
Really great experience. The food was great, service was good and so was the entertainment.
great Turkish food, the best I've had outside of Turkey! Delicious stuffed grape leaves and kebaps. Highly recommended
Actually booked on accident thinking it was Indian cuisine. We were all there for the AmericasMart convention and eat downtown 7 nights 7 restaurants. This was the best. Great fun. Excellent foods and the drinks were wonderful. Our waitress Karina was the absolute BEST waitress out of all the restaurants. We ate at Cuts, Rays, and several other fine restaurants. Best waitress by far! And Turkish food is deliscious.
Food was delicious!! Fun atmosphere and service was outstanding
Great food. Great service from Serif. Great belly dancer.
Great food! Their mixed grill for 2 or 4 with salad and rice is a great chance to sample a variety of different meats. Good service and relaxed atmosphere.
Fun downtown experience
This was our second time visiting and will be back. The food/ambience and service was great. The shrimp menu item was great but having to peel the shrimp was unexpected.
We have eaten here before and were prepared for the bad service but our most recent visit was the worst. Our appetizers came out quickly but our main course was extremely slow coming. Other tables that came in after us were served their food before us. Our waiter came out at one point to verify what we ordered as he said the kitchen “lost our order”. We were there for 2.5 hours for a party of 4. Food was good but this most recent trip all things were a bit off.
Very expensive for its value.
We ordered for 10 people, they got us big plates with food for five or six the most.
The charge were for 12.
Disappointed with the value
Very tasty authentic Turkish cuisine. Nice mezze, which are like tapas, and you can make a meal with three or four of them. There was a beautiful and graceful belly dancer to entertain us, and we had a great server as well! I felt I was in Istanbul again!
