Fun, interesting place! Varied menu with something for everyone, and everything was delicious!
We love it that there are unusual items on the menu, and everything we've tried has been tasty. We've only eaten on the patio, but it is very nice, and it's covered.
We enjoyed EVERYTHING!!! The mussels and garlic sauce, the hummus, tabouleh, mixed grill and trout was AMAZING!!! Customer service with Jasmine was awesome! Will be back!
This was our first time at Truva and we loved it! Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Great meal and experience
We had a really nice meal at Truva. The food is always tasty well prepared and hot. Service was excellent. People are really nice. I like this place a lot.
The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly.
Great food and service! You get so much food, enough for two.
We made a reservation for the patio because we can easily walk in from the neighborhood with our dog. Staff are always very dog friendly and accommodating. I understand that this can be difficult for the restaurant management because not everyone feels It’s appropriate for a dining experience. So, we truly appreciate this accommodation along with the excellent foods and drinks!!!! Thank you!
First of all, they acted like they did not know about my reservation as the gentleman tried to say I was with a party of four men. Once I was seated outdoors after asking again, I sat there for 43 minutes and only had a glass of iced tea and some bread that they put on the table. My food never came in that 43 minutes nor was I informed about when it may come. I ended up leaving after paying for the ice tea and do not think I will go back there for a while. There were only three tables occupied today.
The food was amazing, we ordered the Sampler Plate for 2 and the shaved meats were exceptional. Everything overall though was excellent. Great flavors, right cooking temperatures... The food arrived timely but I didn't get the feeling the staff really cared about the customers that much. Given the cost, I'd expect a little more from the staff.
I love the MEZZE at Truva. The dumplings are fabulous as are the scallion pancakes, and beets with bursts. My dinner partner had a lamb shank that was sublime. They also make wonderful Aperol spritzes
The food here is really good and the menu is full of choices for me (vegetarian/pescatarian). It's a lovely restaurant, the service was friendly and fine. Prices are reasonable given the quality of food, but not "inexpensive". Might be better to go for lunch if you're on a budget.
Two minuses - there was a large party with several young children behind us, some distance away - one of them had one of those piercing shrieks which she liked to employ, but they were far enough away it wasn't too disruptive and these things happen. The second was that we made a reservation for a patio table, and the only one available was a single high table in kind of a narrow space. It didn't look like we would have room to dine comfortably, although it would've been ok for someone who wanted drinks and snack. Fortunately they could seat us inside. They might want to not "book" that table.
We were celebrating our recent union. The food was spectacular! Truva is becoming one of our favorite places. The waiter was wonderful.
My friend and I went to Truva to celebrate our birthdays. We placed that information in the comments. It was disregarded. Oh well! It was both of our first time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant itself was decorated nicely with Turkish-type colors and decorations. Beyond that, it wasn’t that special. They were playing ‘60s and ‘70s music which I found strange as all the other Turkish restaurants I’ve been to play Turkish music (and I’ve been to quite a few).
The lady who greeted us was also our server. She was very welcoming and also very accommodating. No complaints here, except for forgetting our birthdays.
The food left a lot to be desired. My friend said her lentil soup was very good and her stuffed grape leaves could have been better. The hummus was smooth but lacked any flavor. I was so surprised! My zucchini pancake was really good, just wish they’d put the yogurt sauce on the side and not drenched the pancake with it. My “seasoned” lamb kebab ($27) lacked any seasoning period. Cane with a tiny side of yogurt that had no flavor. I guess this is what was meant in the menu by “yogurt and spices”? The Turkish rice was clumpy and salad with roasted tomato had no dressing so it had no flavor either. Just SO bland. Of course, as many have said, the bread with sun dried tomato spread is delicious, but should bread be the highlight of the meal?? Also, my wine was decent, so there’s that.
Nice experience, but for the $83 bill plus tip, we won’t be going back. Too many other great Turkish restaurants in Atlanta.
Excellent food, horrible service. Took 15 min for someone to show up to table, then another 30 min to get our drinks, and another 30 after that to get our appetizers.
The zucchini pancakes were tasty and the grilled octopus (perfectly cooked) was served with a tasty hummus and red tomato sauce. We had the lamb chops and the trout for the main course. Both dishes were very tasty. The trout had a nice charbroiled crust on the top. The lamb chops were very good, but on the thin side, so my order for medium/medium rare was essentially well done. Good experience overall.
Great experience and great staff - Maxine was amazing - make sure you try her signature drink!
We enjoyed the great food and attentive service. Great for date nights.
Food, service and vibe was fabulous as always.
The food is incredible and they have real bartenders making cocktails. It can get very expensive very quickly, but i think it is worth it if you really like this cuisine. We sat outside and the patio area they have is very comfortable and pleasant. The service is a little slow, but I think lately all restaurants are having this issue, so I don't blame them for that. They did their best to accommodate and were extremely friendly and helpful.
Simply delicious, tasty and fresh. Loved the place.
Wonderful server, delicious food and cocktails!
We’re from out of town, here for a football game. A friend recommended the place and it was very good. Our server was amazing and the bread was so good. Would definitely return when I’m back in Atlanta.
good food, good service, free parking, great discount on wines every Monday&Tuesday (:
The place is located on the hearth of the Virginia Highland,The parking lot behind the restaurant is free of charge, food is just an amazing and service is just what has to be,not over friendly and meet the expectations, cocktail variety enough but needs to update, wine list has enough quantity, might be a few more Turkish wine
Trendy restaurant, fun atmosphere, very lively. Food looked better than it tasted! It was okay. I lived in Turkey for a while so my expectations are probably unreasonable for a Turkish restaurant in Atlanta!
Great food! Could work on their cocktail formulas but good wine choices. Not too crowded so good spacing and ambiance
Great experience, food was delicious and service was excellent!
Tried all the basics - BABAGANOUSH, TRADITIONAL HUMMUS, TABBOULEH, CRISPY FALAFEL - all great. The beet salad was exceptionally good, not crazy about the Tahini Yogurt Sauce.
Okay good. Nothing special.
The ambience was nice for this restaurant and my server was ok overall, however I had to wait 30 minutes for my appetizer and 30 minutes for my dinner. While the food was tasty I would be hesitant to return due to the wait time.
We had a great time and the food was great. This is the best Turkish food in the city.
food is amazing and the staff is always above and beyond.
We come to Truva a lot and we always order the same entree! It’s always the same…perfect.
The consistency of a meal is important because I had expectations and so many times they are not met for a variety of reasons.
Truva is delicious!!!
We were there for lunch with friends on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was sparsely populated, so pretty quiet.
The service was excellent. We wanted to spend a few minutes catching up with our friends before looking at the menu. The server came by and quickly assessed the situation, offered beverages and left for awhile. Later, when we were ready, the orders were efficiently taken and the food was promptly delivered.
The food was “mixed”. Two dishes were clearly in the “excellent” category, one in the “ok” and one “poor”. The wrap was a lot of wrap and a barely sufficient amount of chicken and the lamb in the lamb dish was overcooked and dried out.
Worth another try, but only one more.
This was my first visit and it was amazing!!!! Was able to be seated fast, service was excellent!!! And the food was DELICIOUS!!!! OH and the bread with the tomato paste dipping sauce omg sooooooooooo good! Will definitely be returning.
The food was wonderful, but our service was terrible. We had to go find someone to ask our waiter to come take our order.
We split some appetizers & meat board
The food was delicious and we had a wonderful evening
