I had been really looking forward to this brunch date. I ended up leaving disappointed by our food for sure. We had come prepared for the small plates but we were sure it was going to be made up in flavour. The menu sounded so good. My eggs Benedict were not very good. The pork belly was overcooked and so dry i just removed it. The hollandaise didn’t work for me. On the breakfast charcuterie the bacon was so over done it broke picking it up. My husband did not like salmon. Our server was really nice though and my hot chocolate was good

Food, service, decor, and sound all amazing. We had to wait a short amount of time to get our table (which wasn’t a problem) and the team comp’d our first round of drinks. Food was amazing - each plate. Just an amazing experience at Tryst!

Has become our go to place for date night on Friday, the red wine is a very good choice plus a good selection of tapas. The owner is always accommodating & has smile to go with it.

We love tryst, it never disappoints. The cocktails are always perfectly curated. I would highly recommend the mimosa flight. The in house bread and browned butter is so delicious. I’ve also never tasted Brussels sprouts as good. I love that the menu is locally sourced. The servers are so friendly. I love the quiet ambience.

Food was excellent. The sauces are soo good. Like many places nowadays, the food is outshining the the front of house. Our servers were all friendly and service was ok, maybe they were a bit overwhelmed and because of this didn't come to check on us or refill our drinks but food was out quickly. It is a very loud room and not very intimate maybe some noise dampeners could help in that regard.

I had an incredible experience at Tryst! The ambiance was charming, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and the food and wine selection were outstanding. The tapas were beautifully presented and bursting with flavours, and the wine pairings were spot-on. It was a delightful evening of culinary delight, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience! This restaurant deserves every one of its five stars.

Servings are smaller plates but tasty and well prepared. Their KFC chicken is our favourite dish, Service is good and lots of interesting drink options. Good ambience. Have a nice outdoor patio if the weather permits. The Parkers

Had a lovely evening. Food was excellent. Only complaint would be that the brownie for dessert was overly sweet...good thing we had a great red wine to sip between bites.

The food here is delicious! Seriously. We thoroughly enjoyed thr Arancini balls, Brussels sprouts, Ricotta Gnocchi and Beef Tartare. Plus a Tryst Punch and Cherry Old Fashioned. Portions were just right to share all 4 items between the 2 of us and leave feeling just full enough. I'm still thinking about the gruyere cheese oozing out of of the arancini ball into the onion jam, the egg yolk complimenting the tartar (and OMG the fluffy brioche bun), the total.package of the ricotta gnocchi with the pecans and garlic. Highly recommend this restaurant. It's not cheap, but it's well worth it.

Very nice menu, prices seem a bit high. Service was ok. Most of the wait staff seemed fairly inexperienced but, pleasant. Appears small issue with small flies inside the restaurant area. Likely easily corrected.

We had a wonderful meal at Tryst on Thursday evening before St Albert Art Walk. Everything was delicious but our favourite was the shrimp bao. It’s not an inexpensive meal out, but definitely worth every penny! I gave it fewer stars for ambience because of the noise level during our meal. Mostly street noise, which can’t be helped but the heavy chairs make a terrible racket when being moved on the floors. Service was excellent! We’ll be back!

The food was mediocre at the best; it sounds a lot better than it tastes. The price for what you’re getting is just crazy - the food would have to be excellent to justify their price point, but it just isn’t. Hugely disappointed.

Disappointed in service and food quality. Also ordered appetizers - everything came at the same time, therefore, why call them appetizers if it's all going to be served at once. When asking the waitress about it she was quite short with us - won't be returning to this one.

The food was very good. They were understaffed for the night. We had to wait a long time for our drinks. The food came out at different times. We had to ask for our bill. Rock in August was on, so they should have been more prepared. The sourdough bread was amazing!
