TSUJIRI Richmond Matcha Infused Restaurant
The cashier was extremely rude and don't understand english. I need to repeat my order 4 times. We need to order at till, need to find our own seat, even I told the short chubby long hair server, that I had already make reservation. She just ignored us and keep chatting with another girls. No customer in line, just only 2 customers in whole restaurant. No services, no manner asked us for 15% tips?! The food quality was worst than last year.
A bit disappointed with the seats as it was on tatami. My in-laws were in their 70s and I felt bad that they had their legs crossed the whole time we were there. They weren’t able to stretch their legs till the end of dinner
Reso seating area was cramped
Love the poke soba! The matcha chocolate drink was better than I expected.
It was awesome!
Service is absolutely unacceptable, food and drinks are out if my expectations, I rather visit Tsujiri in Japan provides good food and services.
They did not have Tsukemen which was disappointing! Everything else was good.
The food is excellent and meet our expectations. Will definitely come back again
The utensils were delivered after the food has been sitting on table for at least five minutes and the noodle were soggy to the point we didn’t really need to chew. On top of that, the server didn’t even bother to ask us how everything was, not even once... very disappointing.
The broth is a lot more saltier than before and the portion is smaller than what we had compare to last time too.
Best soba I've ever had. Can't say I've tried in Japan, but the ambiance transported me there. Wish my drink wasn't served in a paper cup especially since I was in the table service dining area, but the matcha white mocha was delicious nonetheless. Definitely returning to try the other items on the menu.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed having dessert while catching up with friends.
I wouldn’t recommend to Japanese person. Price is too high. Noodle soup was too salty. Drink was not hot enough. The service was not that great.
However the ambiance and matcha soufflé pancake was good!
Tonight we kind of celebrate our friend’s birthday, but too bad so sad the Favorite Green Tea pancake go sold out since the birthday girl want to try! Wish they would make it more! Overall this place were really good to go to eat!
Amazing parfaits. Making a reservation was definitely a good idea because we got to sit in the back area which was much nicer and less crowded.
3rd time there and the food and service remain excellent. Pricing is on the steep side but you can’t complain about the food quality.
Great food, subpar service
Excellent food and great service!
It was my girlfriends bday you guys made her really happy!!
It was great and they even offered us a better suitable seat. However, they completely ignored our special accommodation and didn’t know we were bringing in a bassinet until we showed up. We even preordered but they didnt know as well but food wasn’t slow at all
The dessert was special, I enjoyed all the Matcha items, like the souffle pancakes. and parfaits, and cakes. The lunch / dessert items, like soba or udon, they are just average. After all, it is a dessert bar kinda thing, so I should not expect savory items to be delicious.
service can improve
If you're a lover of Matcha green tea, then you must visit Tsujiri. I'd recommend going in the afternoon or for lunch if caffeine keeps you up at night :)
Everything was excellent! Would love to come back again!
Had an exceptional dining experience at Tsujiri! Ordered the Tonkatsu Soba and it was better than I expected! It was creamy and noodle firmness was just right. It was nothing like I’ve ever had before! Also, we ordered the matcha soufflé pancakes as everyone else ordered it. It does take 20 minutes, so better to order it right away. It is on the pricier end of desserts ($17), but it was one of those things that you just have to try!! It was ultra fluffy, fresh, warm, and super light - not too sweet! You can add more sweetness by squeezing more of this brown sugar syrup that it comes with. Servers were so polite and attentive. Tatami seating was very hard, and had a difficult time sitting. But overall experience was great!
The tatami is kind of uncomfortable. You have to sit in a weird position to eat with a low table. The food was good.
nothing really special, service was below average you expect from a Japanese place, the menu pictures didn't match what they served us, the parfait overpriced, the salmon ochasuke was very good, we wait about 4-5 months because It was always booked, but now that we went, we were not very impressed.
Lunch menu is very limited, only two items are available. Couldn't try any soba noodles items because they are only available after 5:30pm. Little disappointed...
They ran out of soba unfortunately and gave 10% off the noodle orders which was disappointing. I don’t find the parfaits to be that great especially now the prices have increased. Also when you dine in, you don’t automatically get water to start so you have to ask for it and they don’t refill unless you ask too.
Love the soba & unagichazuki! Souffle pancake is very puffy & delicious!
Highly recommended. Good price
Both Chazuke and Saba are great. Souffle pancake is soooo good. Too bad can't try the high tea set as only available before dinner section.
Generally a good experience, food was tasty, there was a bit of miscommunication when our server left during a shift change and they forgot my dessert I ordered ahead, but they allowed us to cancel it at the end, as they didn’t make it yet. The air conditioning was a bit colder than expected but thankfully washroom was clean. It got quite noisy when a family with two kids were seated next to us. Dining area is elegantly designed but space is small. Menu selection is small too, so not sure if we will come back unless there are seasonal changes?
The desserts and floats were good. However the food was a little bland. I would only come back for the desserts. We waited a whole month before we could make a reservation on open table.
Overall it was a good dining experience. I got to try something special and the environment was comfortable and clean.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR JAPANESE FOOD LOVERS. VERY GOOD MATCHA DESSERTS AND SOBAS
Good food. But a bit over priced for the sizes. Desserts are the bomb though. Must try for all.
broth of the soup was good but small portion with little toppings. Desserts delicious but too expensive. Worth trying out but probably won't go again
I believe operationally, it could use more structure. We arrived not knowing where to let someone know we had a reservation and we were unfortunate to be seated the same side as where everyone comes in for the cakes and drinks so it was a bit noisy.
We came wanting the Tonkotsu Soba only to find out as we were ordering that it was sold out so we opted for the Nishin Soba (which was good but not what we were looking forward to) and the Unagi Dashi Chazuke -- which were good. A friend ordered a parfait instead of noodles and asked for it to come out the same time as the rest of the meals and it came out almost as soon as the rest of us were done our noodle dishes.
The Matcha Soufflé Pancake was very tasty and fresh as was the parfait
Everything was great. Would come again and highly recommend trying their non-dessert options at least once
旦那と 2人で楽しんできました、きちんとした はやりのお店という感じで ただ予約を取って行ったのにも かかわらず コップ一杯の水もサービスがなかったのが残念。
Very good!
