   Dinner, drinks, ambience and service were all fantastic. Great date night spot in a cool neighbourhood. Visited from out of town but we will be back.

   We had a perfect place to sit in what was probably a noisy environment, kind of tucked away and private. Our server was wonderful ... checked on substitutions and offered suggestions if our diet considerations called for it. And the food was really well presented and quite good. Thank you.

   We did the Chef's Tasting Menu which was a wonderful abundance of flavors tailored to our likes and keeping our food allergies in mind. Charcuterie board was stunning with an abundance of cheeses, meats, ramp jam, and mostarda. The dry-aged Tomahawk beef was spectacular. We also loved the lively mocktails--I really liked the Hewing Tonic's bitter edge, gracefully decorated with a sprig of rosemary. Lovely hospitality from the kitchen & our delightful and professional waitress, Nikki.

   The atmosphere was beautiful. The staff was delightful upon arrival. When we were sat at our table, we immediately ordered two coffees, a mimosa and a scone. The scone came out first...and then we had to wait for our drinks. By that time our guests had joined us. Next the coffees came, and we ordered another mimosa. The first mimosa came, so that was given to the guests. Finally our server came back around and caught up after his break (presumably). Food was ordered, but came at different times and one item was missed entirely. The absolute WORST part was the state of the bathrooms. Clearly NO ONE had attended to them since the night before. I felt like I needed a shower after using the restroom. It made me question what the kitchen looked like. I get why Millennials dig this place. There are way better places for brunch for those who actually care about service, quality and cleanliness. The staff was clearly overworked and/or under-supported. They were kind and courteous, but unable to provide the level of attention that I would have expected at 9:30 on a not-so-busy Sunday.

   The background noise made it hard to hear the opposite end of the table, but the dishes were unique, though small. The dinner was a festive birthday celebration!

    Mother's Day brunch was a delight. However, wondering why we weren't offered a choice of the 2 menus? We were only offered the special and very expensive menu & not the regular brunch menu. Both were clearly offered we learned. Would have been nice to have had the option. Some in our party and also another couple we ran into were looking forward to eggs benedict. Website never mentioned a special Mother's Day menu either. Menu had no price listed. Caveat emptor!

    While the taste of the food and service were excellent, the noise level in the full dining room was high. The portions were small, and somewhat "precious" in their presentation. while acceptable for special occasions, would not come here routinely as not a great value.

    Steak was bleu rare if anything, was told it was medium rare. Sent back, and told them to do it medium well, and it came back medium rare in parts. Was cooked unevenly, some parts cooked well-done in some parts and was over saturated in butter. Other than that everything else was good

    We went with friends and had the Chef’s Choice Menu and absolutely loved every single course we had. So many things we had not tried before and so glad we did, the Chef came to our table to explain each course and he was so wonderful. We have not been to Tullibee for a few years and so glad we went.     Food was delicious. Food is served for sharing but each is only really sharable with 2 people. My spouse and I got two small plates, and two large plates. Probably could have had another medium plate to share though we got dessert instead. All the food was delicious, The Bison Steak and frites and the potato Rosti left me wanting more. Cocktails were good but a bit on the pricey side.

    We’ve been to the hewing many times. Have never eaten in the restaurant. We decided to try it out with some friends the other night. We dressed to the nines to go downtown Minneapolis. Very casual dining experience. Great server. Very slow bar service. we knew going in. It was an odd menu and approved to be so. The star of the dinner should’ve been the New York strip steaks that were aged 60 days. Very suspect at best. I would not order that again. And all of us have talked about what we eat there again, if we had a choice to go downtown Minneapolis. We had some definitely not too. Also maybe.

    Fantastic experience! Service from Tony was genuine, friendly, and informative. His anecdote about the chef’s inspiration behind the menu made us all the more excited to try the food. We ordered 5 different dishes and allowed the chef to guide the coursing, which was exciting since we never knew which dish was coming out next. All dishes were very good; the spring lasagna was hands down the star of the show. Lots of substantive options for vegetarians! Tullibee would be a great spot for a big group of friends since the menu is designed to be shared, which makes for an interactive and dynamic experience that facilitates conversation at the table. Desserts were the perfect light portion considering we were already quite full but wanted to try the pastry chef’s creations. We cannot wait to visit once the season changes again to see what the chef has come up with!

    Very long wait for food and the server was not attentive to the table. A lot of “high class” people were dining and a lot of snobbish stares engulfed the restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and worth the stay but I would not recommend the restaurant.

    It was easy to make a brunch reservation at Tullibee via the app. And even with an addition of one person to our party, the App allowed me to make the request to the restaurant, that responded in less than 12 hours with approval. We arrived, no issues being seated, and even with a precocious 4-years, Ty, or server never missed a beat. He let us know what was great on the menu, what cocktails or beverages could satisfy our varied palates, and his knowledge of the menu was welcome. He did not frown in us bringing fruit from home to placate the 4-year old. And the courses kept out in rapid fashion. The sides of bacon and chicken sausage were both tasty and well portioned. The pancakes with add-ins of chocolate chips were not only tasty but massive. Plus two maple syrup cups were a bonus. The Hewing Breakfast was traditional, but plenty of food. The Berry Blintzs were both creamy and perfected prepared. And the Benedict was perfectly poached and sizable. We wanted for nothing. Eric, the manager, was his ever friendly self, and ran out great hot chocolate, with oat milk, to order. Everything was so well done, and we will be back.
