Turkuaz takes its name from the turquoise colored sea in Turkey and Mediterranean and brings both a culinary experience and an ethnic one to NYC. We started twenty years ago, in the Upper West Side and moved to Midtown West in 2019. Our food is healthy and flavorful, with a lot of Turkish and Eastern Mediterranean delicacies, our service is friendly and professional and our atmosphere is romantic and transporting. Our location is ideal for theater crowd and tourists. Whether you are on your own and are looking for a quick bite, or you want to spend time with your sweetheart or friends, you will have a great time at Turkuaz. First time dining here. We ordered the Turkuaz Grill platter which was excellent - especially the meatballs. Will definitely consider coming back to try other items in the menu. One strange thing was that I had a reservation and even got reminders to confirm it. But when I entered, no one asked if I had one and got seated promptly. While things worked out but seems like a lapse in how things are run.

Authentic, delicious Turkish food, reasonable price, and lovely service. It was a saturday night the restaurant was busy and a little noisy, but the atmosphere and decoration were nice. Over all a wonderful experience I would recommend.

Turkuaz is a great restaurant that we've gone to for many years. We mostly focus on eating the appetizers, which are delicious: babaghannoush, bustani, falafel, cheese and spenach pastries, zucchini pancakes, kibbeh.

Kudos for bringing back my favorite cold appetizer--the white bean salad. Overall, the food just gets better and better (unlike many restaurants which sadly declined post-pandemic. The wait-staff, led by Jesus, is equally wonderful.

The wine was lovely and appetizers were good. The entrees were lackluster, lamb dishes all overcooked and okra very bland. Desserts were good, not blown away like others who reviewed this place.

We loved Turkuaz. Easy walk from our hotel. Not far from theaters. Comfortable, inviting ambiance. Friendly, appropriately attentive service. The best, delicious, healthy, clean food. Bean salad, falafel plate, vegetable stew, and bread pudding. Look forward to going back on our next trip to NY.

This is one of the only good restaurants in the Broadway Theater area. The food is very good. I have been to Istanbul and I would say they prepare authentic Turkish food. Very attractive space inside and quiet for a pre-theater dinner. Their wait staff are long term and experienced. I recognize them from when I are there last summer also before a show nearby. NOT an overpriced tourist trap.

We sat outside on a beautiful afternoon (curbside) so I can't speak to noise level/ambiance inside. The curbside seating was very pleasant and quiet. I only gave a 4 (instead of 5) rating on food, because one of our party thought his dish was very good and not outstanding. I loved my dishes and especially recommend the yogurt dip with nuts, which was truly heavenly. The very best part was the gracious, kind, attentive, thoughtful service. I can't say enough about this. We got there early, before the restaurant was open. We were willing to stand outside and wait for opening (we knew we were early for our reservation) but they seated us anyway , gave us menus and served us our drinks and treated us like welcome guests. Can't recommend highly enough.
