Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill
Food and service were great. Table was by the kitchen which was disappointing. When you make a reservation you would hope to get a better table than walk-ins.
We ordered chicken fajitas and greek salad. There was lots of rice, but little chicken in the fajitas. The salad had to be remade twice. First they put dressing on when we asked for it on the side. Then the lettuce was old and rusty so they remade another one. Patio and server were nice, but food wasn't good enough to go back again
Son and his girlfriend’s birthday gave us free brownie and ice cream!
Love their wings, would like to see more dessert options on the menu. Haven’t had much variety over the last 2 years.
This is our go to place. When I arrived they did not have my OpenTable reservation. I sat in the bar area with my husband at our usual table. We ordered drinks and dinner. When my husband’s Hunter Chicken entree arrived we noticed that the chicken breast was a single breast when in the past it used to be a double breast.
The salmon on my plate was also half the size that it used to be, but the price remains the same. We’re going to look for another go to place to have dinner where the portions haven’t been cut in half.
Very poor service (it too forever to get any order) 4 out of 7 orders were not right! not attentive staff. Overall bad experience.
Salad portion is very very small!! A full order is smaller than a sample size at Costco. Ridiculously priced at 11.99. Will not come back again. Manager just said thanks and walked away when I told him that this is not worth the price for a full serving. If you had to put it into perspective, it was equivalent to two leaves chopped up.
Fire and ice is still my favorite dessert there.
The salad was 18.99 it was very small and in my opinion worth 10.99
My husband had a budget with fries and it was 16.99 it looked amazing and definitely worth the money. My daughter had the kids steak and the meat was not tender at all and it usually is .
It was okay, price was higher than a year ago, menu choices were a bit limited. Some dishes portion might be too small and not adequate for an adult's dinner. We really like our server and her personality during our last visit.
Good food. Quality ingredients. Plating was beautiful. Servers were harder to find. They were fast and effective, though
Food was great. Service was awesome!
My friend ordered the signature 4 cheeses pasta, and she told the server she didn’t want Feta cheese. The server told her it is absolutely no problem, she can take out the Feta. But at last, a dish of Hunter Chicken came. We told the server this is not a right dish...but the server replied us “she swear she heard hunter chicken”. If my friend ordered hunter chicken, it is no point for taking out Feta Cheese!!
There was a promotion of ordering 4 kids meals would get the 5th one free, but the server charged us the 5th one. She made correction after.
She came to check us out quite frequently, but after we paid the bill, she disappeared. For the little gifts to kids, we have to ask the other girl.
Had the waitress been more attentive, this place could have easily been an overall 5*. I will definitely give it another try and have them redeem themselves.
The service was slow and the food was okay. Not sure if I’ll be going back though.
Service was terrible. Arrived at noon. Drink orders were taken after quite some time. Had to ask for water. Once order was placed food didn't come until 1:40 pm. Forgot guacamole and had to request it and even that took too long as my meal was almost done. The restaurant patio was not busy and there were no apologies for the delays. Food was great and price is right.
To start, they didn't have our reservation through OpenTable in their system even though I received a confirmation email from OpenTable. The service was terrible. Extremely slow and once we got our dinner we never saw the waitress again. She did not come around to ask how everything was or if we wanted another beverage nor did she come around to clean our plates.
This might be understandable if the restaurant was incredibly busy and at full capacity but we were one of 4 tables that evening.
I had to walk around and look for the waitress so I can ask her for the bill. I don't think we will be going there again.
My girlfriend and I went for a late dinner and drinks. Sara(h?) was very friendly and talkative but not as attentive as we had hoped. Salmon was okay not great but a poor value for the price. Chicken avocado tacos were excellent however. Bruschetta a great appetizer. Overall decent just overpriced for the quality.
This was not our first visit, and we were reminded again that we continue to have the same experience at Turtle Jacks: the food is adequate, the prices are fine, but the problem is with the service. Service is friendly when you get there, but after your food is delivered it is very difficult to flag your server again. 35mins crawl by until you can order your bill from an alternate server. This is agony when you have a young child with you.
I mentioned we were going to have a business lunch and they decided to sit us right next to the Kitchen. Food was nothing but horrible. I order fish tacos and got chicken instead, absolutely dried and without flavor. My colleagues order a salmon burger and also were disappointed because the salmon was dry and underseasoned. Service was bad, not paying attention, leaving the food on the side of the table. Overall bad food, subpar service, horrible atmosphere
Celebrated my birthday there with my family. Waited 15 mins to order drinks. Service was slow and food took an hr or more to come out.. With a 5 and 6 yr old, that is too long to wait for our apps to arrive.
The ambience is great. I enjoyed it very much. Food in general are good. If more choices on the menu will make it even better.
Turtle Jack's was fine, but our server was distracted. Not too sure by what, as it was a mostly empty section, but the three table seated there were all waiting to be served.
Great place to hang out with friends. Kids meals in hearty portions.
