    Everybody in my party had either smash burger or JC Burger, each with fries. burgers and fries were yummy! One of our party had to go with gluten free bun but her burger was great! It’s her favorite burger in AVL. Our server, Jade, was friendly and positive. Management needs to pay attention to cleanliness of bathroom. Ladies WC was not the cleanest.

    We had a waitress and a waiter in training, they were both fantastic. They were able to recommend a good wine and gave an accurate description of our dinner choice. They were both friendly, attentive to our needs and fun to talk to. The food was delicious! Overall, we had a wonderful dinner experience.

    Definitely would come back. I wish we could remember our servers name, she was so sweet and attentive! Food portions aren’t too big, not sure if that’s good or bad since so many dishes can be way too much food! Great ambience though and would love to come back the next time we’re in Asheville!

    Twisted Laurel has always been a favorite of ours. From Vincent, the Manager to each server and bartender, everyone is very congenial with excellent service standards. They had a great twist on a Baked Cod dish that melted in your mouth. The Pepperoni Pizza was also to die for. And the craft cocktails may be pricey, but they are worth every cent. There was an Old Fashioned with Cheerwine which was interesting and welcome in this cold night. We will be back often!

    Portions were very small (except the pizza). A little weird for how casual it seemed that they wanted a card down for just a reservation. Otherwise good food, located in downtown so you have to find a parking garage a block away or so.

    Unique take on dining and food options. Had the fried spaghetti balls and were good and the pasta with crawfish and andouille and it was good but somewhat bland in flavor. Good however. The smash burger was also ordered and pretty freaking good. Open design so can get pretty loud. Wait staff extremely helpful and energetic and polite.

    Pretty hit and miss. Salads were fine, but the entrees were rushed out on top of them. Bad pacing. Pasta was underdone. Crawfish weren’t very fresh. Meatballs were under seasoned and the marinara lacked refinement. Over priced for what it was.

    The service was very good and so was the food. The only issue I had was that I tried a sample of two beers and they charged me 50 cents for each one without telling us it would cost. It seems petty but being the brew capital in North Carolina as Asheville is , they are the only place that is so petty to do this and frankly the only place in the country that has ever charged me and I have traveled extensively. Seems small potatoes but really kind of classless for such a nice place.

    Biggest disappointment from the start was that the menu was very different from what was on line, which stinks because that really was what drove our decision to go there. The waiters recommendation for what was different than expected from the on line menu for an appetizer, was also disappointing…a fried spaghetti ball with sauce that had no seasoning. The drink pours were VERY light in comparison to the prices. Service was good, but a little slow. The best part was that the pasta dishes we ordered were very, very good! Overall, it was an okay experience, but don’t think we’d go back.

    This was our first time eating at Twisted Laurel. We learned about it online and thought it sounded like a great place to eat after looking at the menu and location. Our hostess, Geneva, was absolutely fabulous! We were seated outside ahead of our reservation time which was perfect, as we arrived earlier than expected. Geneva explained menu items and answered all our questions about how the pasta dishes were prepared. We chose two different pasta dishes along with the spinach salad, which we split. We enjoyed a French Broad River Kolsch with our meal, which was also an excellent selection. Geneva presented the dessert menu to us and shared an excellent description of each dish. We chose the pumpkin pecan poundcake topped with ice cream. Again, absolutely delicious! We come up to an Asheville. This is definitely our new favorite restaurant in Asheville. We come up about twice a year and cannot wait to come back and dine at Twisted Laurel again.     Great restaurant in downtown Asheville and walkable to many other venues. Trout was amazing. Wonderful staff that ran to our rescue when an unexpected rainstorm interrupted our outdoor dining and seated us quickly inside. Would definitely eat here again.

    We came into town with our pooch and wanted somewhere that we could take her for her first outing experience, while also getting a really good meal for ourselves. The experience did not disappoint. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation, but they seated us quickly, patio seating, and our dog already had a water bowl waiting for her. The staff were great, attentive and polite, and the food was so good. Loved the atmosphere there, very chill and relaxed, I saw a family with a bunch of kids celebrating a birthday and a couple of professionals in suits, very mixed clientele. Recommendation: Arancini, they were so good, I could have ordered more and just ate those. Also, the Strawberry Buttermilk Cheesecake was really very delicious. I had the Scottish Salmon for my entree and my husband had the JC Burger, and we even got fish and sweet potatoes for our girl, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Great experience, will definitely be back

    Very casual, crowded and rather noisy place where the two of us received excellent service and food. Scottish salmon with bourbon BBQ flavor cooked perfectly. Very fresh and tasty spinach salad. Come here for the food and upbeat ambience but not for a quiet experience

    We got to the restaurant 45 mins early for our reservation, however we had no problem getting a table fairly quickly. We had a great server who was attentive & friendly. Food was delicious! 👍

    I was in town recently from Chicago and this place looked good. The pasta I had was pretty flavorless, and over-priced, the wine pour was very small. The service was good and we sat out on the patio which was far quieter than inside. Not sure that I would go back, and try again.

    Our experience was not positive at the Twisted Laurel. The restaurant was loud and the food and service was fair at best. Be aware of unexpected service charge of 4% if you use a credit card.
