Our dinner exceeded our expectations for presentation, quality and taste; a truly gourmet experience worth the drive. Servers were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our only disappointment, which altered the quality of our experience, was our seating. Tables for two line one wall, leaving the restaurant's centre space for tables seating 4-6. Unfortunately, the space between the tables for two was barely enough for one person to walk in, and conversations held at tables on either side of us could be clearly heard. The lack of privacy for personal conversation changed what could have been an exceptional dining experience. Tight spacing can be overlooked when paying for the convenience of a quick meal out, but when paying for fine dining the atmosphere is an integral part of the experience.

The food was excellent, never have had an issue with the portions or flavour. The service was very slow, but not to fault the waitress as it appeared she was alone to take care of most of the tables herself. Abojt 1 hour to receive our main course from when we arrived, however the appetizers came within 20 or so. Friendly staff as well.

Reservation made for birthday & server was told, but birthday not acknowledged. Food was exceptional, too bad service wasn’t.
When sommelier/bartender asked if we wanted wine or a cocktail to drink we told him we don’t drink alcohol and without even suggesting something non-alcoholic he just walked away...sorry we bothered him!

I ordered something like Grumpy Lasagna. It was hard and overcooked and I couldn't even tell that it was Lasagna or not. It didn't taste bad and it didn't taste good. It just didn't taste at all.

Only flaw was my meal came and the pasta was just warm. Waitress was great, took it and had it reheated.
My husband said his meal was also not much better than warm, but he did not want to have a reheat.
Flavour great , we enjoyed it as usual. Will be back.

This was our first time for dinner with friends and every raved about their meal. We have eaten is some of the best restaurants in the world and Twisted Lemon is special. We enjoy creative restaurants that make food interesting by changing ingredients and spices. We highly recommend the drive to Cayuga to dine here. You will be impressed.

It was a spur of the moment. Chef Dan had posted about a Prix-fix menu and there was available seating for 5:00 pm (it was 4:20 pm when I saw the post) We made it with 1 minute to spare (speeding was not required)The food was fabulous, as always.

Ceasar salad to be shared came with one plate. Had to ask for extra plate, as well as another request for freshly ground pepper. Dressing was mayo-based—not an authentic ceasar dressing and the romaine was chopped in small pieces—cafeteria style! . I had a ham sandwhich, and found it ordinary. My partner had the deep fried lasagne and loved it. Lunch for two with one glass of wine each was over $100,00 which I found excessive for lunch. I won’t be back.

. Also no ice cream : (

The first time I went to the Twisted Lemon, the food and service was excellent. The second time I went, the food again was excellent but the food took forever to arrive. The chef felt bad about this and they graciously waived our entire bill eventhough we didn't complain. Our most recent visit was horrible. The service was terrible. Long waits for water, appetizers and very long wait for our entrees. No waitress around to offer us another drink while we waited either. As for the food...just as bad. The duck was over cooked and dry and the gnocci also overcooked and hard! We complained and were only comp was a glass of wine. We had a few bites of our food and left. Never again. It's definitely not worth the drive from Ancaster.

Oustanding food It took us 25 minutes to decide what to eat, so many unusual items and pairings
All we knew is we were not going to have a steak
This place would be great to visit every season, as they serve seasonal items
We will go back in October

I have read several good reviews on this restaurant. My daughter went there for a special occasion and really enjoyed the experience. My husband and I went for belated birthday celebration and completely enjoyed the experience. The only thing I could complain about is the time to receive our food. It took an hour from when we arrived to when we got our food. The food was excellent. Unique and tasty. Presentation also very good. I had seen the chef on tv couple times recently and was hoping to have the green bean salad with almonds and goat cheese, however was not on the menu. I had grumpy lasagna, corn soup. My hubby had fish tacos and Cesar. Yummy

I think it was ok. My tenderloin was over cooked. Asked for medium. It was well done. I'm not one to complain. My husband said his was good.
This was our 2nd time there.
We probably won't go back.

Thanks to Open Table, we found the Twisted Lemon and decided to take a road trip. It was well worth the drive. The meal - soup of the season, scallops, fish, tenderloin, chocolate and crème brule - was absolutely delicious. Service was great! We walked around Cayuga afterward.
It was nice to review the menu on-line before our visit.
Looking forward to visiting again! Thank you!
