Our group sat in a private booth so we could chat easily. Restaurant was busy for Tuesday evening with a comfortable noise level. We had cocktails, appetizers and a couple types of Cheese and Veg boards. Our fav was the small plate of octopus. Never in my life have I had such a tender piece. Very nice.

Vacation dinner. It was a rowdy crowd for st. Patrick’s Day weekend, but our server was sweet and attentive. Very energetic and beautiful.

Everything was absolutely outstanding! I started with an entree, for which I chose the Shortribs & Scallops. The short ribs were very tender and the scallops were, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. I followed that up with the pretzel pull apart which came with a delectable aged cheddar sauce and dijonaisse. For dessert, I had the dreamsicle mouse paired with Pappy Van Winkle 23 yr bourbon. Overall, an incredible dining experience that I will never forget!

My husband and I had dinner while in Chicago for a work conference. The atmosphere was so interesting and our server was a complete joy to talk with. We had deviled eggs for an appetizer and chicken for the main course. Both were excellent! I had a special request for the bar tender to make a Spanish coffee without the coffee and I have to tell you it was the best one I have tasted. She put her special touch on it and I am hooked! The jazz band that night was great and set a mood that helped make the evening wonderful. Thank you for a night we won't forget. We will be back soon.

Visited on Mardi gras and the jazz band was fantastic. Really fun vibe overall and would go back. Food is good, not great, service just ok (everything seemed to take a long time). Good value though. A fun weeknight alternative when the music is playing.

The venue is nice. Drinks were great. We had a bad experience because of the waitress. She was very nice but forgot to order our drinks twice , and it was very obvious because she would walk around, when she would be walking towards us she would then see we had no drinks and run to the bar. She was memorizing order, I say they should start using note pads. The last round she brought us was missing my friends drink. We just decided to close out. The weekend before i had tried to get in and it was closed due to a private event and the doormen told me to come back at 7:30 and made no mention of making a reservation. When i showed up again at the time they told me, they denied me entry because i had no reservation. Overall the place is overrated and the service that was provided to us was terrible. Drinks were delicious.

I had a reservation, showed up on time and was rudely greeted by all 3 members of the host team standing at the podium. We waited a few minutes for them to “find” us a table. When they led us to the dining room it was 50% empty and they sat us up close against another couple when the entire other half of the dining area was empty. I asked if we could sit somewhere else, host said he had to check. Ok. We will stand in the middle of the dining room with our coats on while you check. He comes back, leads us to the empty other side of the room, puts the menus on the table and walks away. Ok. We get comfortable and look at this massive whiskey list and very large cocktail/wine menu. Server arrives at table and greets us. Unfortunately I could not understand him. He spoke with an unfortunate speech impediment and the music was soooo loud I couldn’t make out anything he was saying. We ordered wine and food and ate and left. The food was great. We had strip steak with this amazing sauce and cauliflower with peppers that was really good too. We finished and left. Very underwhelmed for what I was expecting.

The food was awful. No taste whatsoever. The ambiance, service and music were outstanding. Probably one of the worst dinners I have had in years. The only thing good about the dinner was the sorbet desert. Would not recommend eating here.

Our overall experience was good. Our waiter was friendly and funny; the band was great; Mdme. L’amour was entertaining; and the DJ music was great for dancing. It would’ve been a truly five star experience for me, but for the fact that our reservation was at 8:00 pm, but not seated till after 8:40 pm. Even then, our frustrations weren’t so much that our table was not ready, but rather there was no urgency to seat us promptly nor keeping us apprised if a table would be ready until we requested for the manager, who seemed annoyed that we even complained. Perhaps it is my fault and my expectations of being seated promptly at a popular restaurant when someone is on time, but then again, in my many years of entertaining my clients at five star restaurants, I’ve never been seated

Always a great time when we come here! Different and delicious dishes, a fantastic cocktail menu (including, but not limited to, an extensive whiskey menu). The service is always great, and the setting is luxe but fun. There's often live music/entertainment as well. One of my favorite places to go for a fun group get-together over food and drinks!

Our appetizers did not come all together or even close to gather. For the price of the meals, they were small portions and weren't hot. 3 out of 4 of our dinners were served all together, but my husband's was served 20 mins later. Our Server said the dishes are served as soon as they are ready so they stay hot, but when his steak came out it was only warm.
The music was fantastic, and the drinks were good. Those 2 are the only thing we'd come back for.

We sat 45 min after reservation time.
After continuing to check with host stand, they have very little information and were very rude. We asked for a manger finally and he was able to find us a table.
Disappointed in the overall attitude and service. While delays can happen; adding a touch of proactive communication or empathy or anything would have gone a long way

Amazing food. Fantastic service. My only complaint is that it was extremely loud. The tables are very close together and there's no way to ignore the conversation is going on next to you. But this is a small price to pay for such an amazing dining experience.

Service was good...the place got very busy...we needed to search out our server a couple of times. However, we were not in a hurry.
Oysters Rockefeller were disappointing...not typical preparation...the rest of the meal was delicious!!!

This was the second time I have been there and I had a blast. The entertainment was very good and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the foods. The only thing I didn’t like is our table was situated in a nook i wasn’t able to see the band - that was annoying because I enjoyed listening to them but seeing the band would have enhanced my experience. But overall I enjoyed the food and drinks. Next time I dine there, I hope that they seat me in a better spot.

SUPER loud so not the place to have a cozy, intimate dinner. And I was a bit disappointed that they would not allow some people in our party to order the restaurant week menu - it was mandatory that the entire party get the restaurant week menu or none, whereas every other place allowed the orders to be different. Very frustrating for the amount of money we ended up spending for mediocre food.

The ambiance - dark, clubby, leather-saturated and grownup, with an eclectic music mix of oldies, blues, jazz and more - is the reason to visit and spend time here. The food is OK but not special, and the service is friendly and gracious but not overwhelming (“would you like to keep your silverware?” Instead of just replacing it. And when it was replaced it was another napkin-wrapped knife and fork, so I finished the meal with two napkins in my lap).

There are different rooms, at least one with live music, so depending on the space you are in you’ll have a different experience. We had dinner in a booth at the Whiskey Bar and it was comfortable and relaxed. The chocolate pot du creme dessert was the table favorite, so it is not a gourmet or foodie destination. It seems designed for business gatherings and would be a good spot for groups, but we also enjoyed it as a date night out. A tasteful, richly decorated and classy big city experience.

We sat in a private booth with a curtain which was nice in theory but it was incredibly hot and when we’d open the curtain to get some air, the staff would close it when they walked by. The curtain didn’t do much to block the noise from the restaurant so it felt unnecessary. The food was just really disappointing especially for the price. I kept wanting things to taste good and they fell flat. We also kept trying to order things and the waiter would tell us about how he didn’t personally like it and recommends something else. I tried to order a burger appetizer because it was on the small plate menu but it was actually an entree. Our waiter was well intentioned but very awkward and sometimes just stood there looking at us. When he walked us through the menu it just felt like he was reading the entree list to us instead of adding new information or point out a couple popular items. The drinks were pretty decent and that was about all I enjoyed from that experience. The bill was massive and definitely not compatible with our food quality. Overall we were very unsatisfied and disappointed.
