I love this place. The taste quality and service has always been fantastic. But last night the food just wasn't the same. Half of my dining guest meat was tough and almost burnt, and overall the food just didn't hit it's normal high standard. I am really hoping it was just a bad night for the kitchen.

I got the salmon, it came to the table warm not hot it had a good texture but not a lot of favor mixing it with the sauce helped the spinach was over cooked , My wife dish was excellent the steak frites were perfect with a asparagus side going with crispy fries. The apps my wife soup and my black cakes were very good the white chocolate cake was very good it was my 35 anniversary which the restaurant had no clue parking was horrible the service was excellent. 7/10.

Do not use a gift card unless it is specific to The Uptown. Had a $100 gift card that was declined. Had to pay $125 on my credit card. My wife ordered the stir fry with sesame chicken. Spice level was so hot, she could not eat it. I swapped and gave her Jaegerschnitzel, which was very good. I tried to eat hers. My lips burned at least an hour later. We got a takeout box for the remainder and ended up throwing it away. In fairness to the restaurant, they exchanged the gift card for one of their own. We will use it and give them another try. We have been going here for a very long time. I hope this meal was the exception to our past experiences.
