   This place has the best food and it is so nice there. The food is very interesting and fresh. The recipes are inventive but never fussy. The staff is lovely. My favorite place in the Boston area.

   We did the tasting menu on a relatively quiet Tuesday night. It was an outstanding experience with inventive, delicious food and well selected wines. A worthy special splurge, but no one can eat like that regularly. Entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. The tasting menu gives you an opportunity to chat with the chef (at least on quiet nights).

   The food and the presentation thereof is both elegant and delicious! The service is warm, friendly and attentive, as well as more than capable. Patio is happily dog-friendly. This is an extraordinary neighborhood restaurant, and to be fair, actually a destination-worthy choice. The only negative is the buses rumbling by, but what can one expect when one elects curbside patio dining. We will definitely return.

    The food was cooked to perfection and really loved that they practiced restraint which displayed such high skill by the chefs. The ingredients were fresh and vibrant. My only criticism is I went in with high expectations because of the prices. I understand how tough this industry is but it felt a tad on the cusp and not a fantastic value. I blame this more on Boston real estate than the restauranteurs. Overall appreciated the seasonal menu and experience.

    The flavor combinations of everything we ate were great. It is such a nice, boutique restaurant. Everyone, from servers to managers to chefs, was extremely nice, and friendly. This is a great place to have a tasty dinner in a cozy environment. The only downside is that it is a bit pricy, so we could go for very special occasions.

    We had the chef’s table for our anniversary. We consider ourselves ‘foodies’ and have never been here before so we thought we’d try it. Incredibly, this was our number one food experience ever - which is why I’m writing this review. Chef Erin was warm, intelligent, and cooked with her heart - she is one of the most talented chef’s I’ve ever met - and likely one of the best in the world. The sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging - as was the sous chef. The food was brilliantly designed and impeccably prepared. This was a 10 out of 10 for us.

    Out of this world delicious! Best meal that we have had in Boston and just maybe any where! Sharing plates is the way to as you get to experience more of the amazing food and mouthwatering flavors. Erin has a way with Unami that is unbelievable. Everything from cocktails to small plates to large plates, wine, and dessert was delicious and perfectly prepared, cooked, and presented. This was our second time dining at Urban Hearth and it will be on our regular rotation. Fabulous. Not to be missed!

    Urban Hearth never ceases to amaze me. The wine pairings are those that I would not make myself. The venison canapes with the orange wine. The roasted, hollowed out baby onion filled with a cheddar cheese sauce and served with duck fat grilled toast with some greens and a rose was stellar. I will not hit the mark, but it is something that I will have to try. At least I will be able to make the toast.

    Absolutely lovely restaurant for a cute date night! I would give more stars or Michelin stars if I could, so creative, delicious and insightful staff made it a great evening! The duck was one of the best and each drink was delicious! Will be coming back for the chefs tasting menu

    My only complaint was that I was sitting about two feet from a woman who coughed all night. It wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but does speak to the closeness of the tables. Food was delicious and creative. Service was wonderful.

    Prompt seating with a reservation. Our server was very knowledgeable about all aspects of drinks and the menu. Depending on your appetite, I would recommend a 2 small plates (especially the biscuit with miso butter) and the raviolo, if you decide to get your own entrée. If you share an entree, get another small plate. Food came out promptly and hot. One a Friday night it definitely was a bit loud, but tolerable. Overall, great food, amazing service, and a great dining experience.

    This is one of the few restaurants/chefs in the Boston area that shows creativity and brings innovative flavors to the food menu and in the cocktails. The open kitchen makes you feel part of the action. Friendly and professional staff. You pay for the experience and quality.

    Chef Erin and the entire team at UH deliver a true farm to table experience that is next-level on just about every front. The flavor combinations are wonderfully balanced, harmonious and inventive. The setting is intimate and low key—perfect for a romantic meal or intimate gathering with friends. Sitting at the counter enables you to interact directly with chef Erin and her team—a true treat—as they plate, deliver and describe the flavor pairings, techniques and ingredient origins and microclimates that all come together so thoughtfully and intentionally in each course of the tasting menu. UH is a not so hidden gem. It’s the best and most interesting meal we have had in all of Boston area in quite a while. Can’t recommend highly enough.

    We had such an amazing experience eating at the chef’s counter at urban hearth! Each course was creative and thoughtful; everything tasted great and was beautifully presented. The service was absolutely impeccable even though the restaurant was fully booked and very busy. We will definitely be back to try dishes from the menu, and to do the tasting again in the future.
