   Valerie was a great experience! My friend and I went on a Sunday night, so it was more quiet and we received excellent service. The drinks were so creative and beautiful to look at, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

   Took my wife here for her birthday and had a great time. Our server was amazing and made great recommendations from beginning to end. The premium drinks were outstanding, and the food was great, good portion sizes too. Highly recommend visiting Valerie for the ambiance (cool to see the planes take off from Billy Bishop airport and the view of Toronto is awesome).

   I wanted to love this place so much, but it was extremely disappointing… our server was great, but drinks alone took 20+ minutes to come out and from what we could see, the place was empty. We ordered small apps and even those took 45+ min to come out. Not sure if it was because we chose to sit in the lounge instead of the dining room but I feel as if it shouldn’t matter. Not sure if I’d go back.

   Our server Dara was amazing! We didn't know if we would like a signature drink (Always Dreaming) so she offered a taster to decide and it was delicious and so we ordered them! My friend and I split 3 tasty dishes (Korean fried chicken, shrimp Udon and Brussels Sprouts) and the portions were generous we had some to take home. All the servers were friendly and reminded us a few times they validate parking which we appreciated. Overall great vibe with amazing views.

   Had a great tapas style dinner here with a few friends. Everything was delicious. Server was friendly. The view is incredible. And the price was very reasonable.

   When we got there, it took 15 minutes to get noticed by one of the staff. I had to get up and go see that waitress that was cleaning up tables to tell her we wanted to order drinks/food. Special mention to Robell who took amazing care of us. He was friendly, effective, and made sure we would be celebrated for our anniversary. He changed our experience for the better and we will be back thanks to him!

    So I went out to the restaurant with my friends for my birthday celebration this Saturday. There was a girl Rihanna(I am sorry if i am mistaken), she was helping us out there. I mean she literally made sure everything goes well for my birthday, she personally took care of everything, i am glad she was the one helping us out on my special day. She wished me birthday with the prettiest smile. So 100 out of 10 for the service. The only thing we weren’t happy about was the food obviously, but that’s okay. I won’t complain since that could be neglected over the way i was treated there and everything was taken care of. Thank you so much Guys.

    Mediocre food as part of an ‘Experience’ menu. Quantity of food was severely lacking with several diners having to resort to ordering additional items. Given the location, amazing view and the Hotel X brand, Valerie can do so much more. 1. Lower the volume of the music. It’s Valentine’s Day you are there to talk to your partner/date not listen to Drake at a nightclub level volume. 2. Go experience some of the other ‘experience’ menus that offer restaurants are offering, namely Enigma, Cafe Boloud, Enotoca, Actinolite… 3. Create intimacy with your seating, there’s no lack of space so why not have the tables where both people can enjoy the view rather than one person having their back to the windows. 4. The experience menu is supposed to represent the ultimate dish based upon the chef’s or kitchen’s technical merit. Leaving a restaurant where you are still hungry having only sniffed at a handful of cold dishes is not my idea of an enjoyable experience. I have to say that the “surf and turf” option was extremely good. More dishes like that please and less of the sushi/sashimi. 5. Having your sever offer Prosecco without mentioning that it’s not included and then proceed to charge $19 for cheap Prosecco is certainly not what I was expecting from a fine dining establishment. 6.     The Valentine’s Day set dinner was fantastic. Perfect sized portions Great ambiance and we had a fantastic waitress (don’t remember her name) but she made the experience even better.

    My husband and I had such an incredible night for our anniversary at Valerie. The food and service was amazing and consistent throughout the evening. Not forgetting the view of the City! Oohh lala! Robel our server made sure to delivered exceptional service. We left very satisfied and will definitely be back in the summer :)

    We actually ate downstairs at Roses Cocina where the service was excellent. We were running a bit late due to our dinner and the server called upstairs to Valerie to let them know that we would be a bit late. We finished our desert, paid the bill and left. When we got upstairs, they told us that they gave the table away because we were more than 15 minutes late. I proceeded to tell the girl at the front that we were eating downstairs and our server let them know and they never mentioned that we only had 15 minutes to get there. She said yes that they informed them but we were more than 15 minutes late. She gave us a hard time to try to get a table. She said she would go in and check and we followed her. The place was half empty and there were lots of tables so, she finally gave us a table which then we waited about 20 minutes for a server to come over to take our order. Then we waited another 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive. By then we were all disappointed, upset, and we’re ready to leave. We could see that the server was waiting for us to leave because there were more people that wanted the table. Honestly, I don’t know if I will return with the service that they provided although the place is beautiful.

    Salmon sashimi with microgreens was beautiful and tasty. Tempura shrimp were perfectly cooked with a slightly spicy heat. Korean short ribs were thinly sliced, chewy bites with smoky sweet caramelized onions. Fries were plentiful with an interesting dip. The service was excellent and the view was AMAZING! But the website needs to be updated for this season. I would have brought another couple, but according to the website, there was no room in reservations. Pity, as the place was nearly empty when I arrived at 5pm.

    I’ve read really bad opinions about this place, but the only thing that was not that good was service - it was just slow, not because the place was overcrowded or something, I felt like waitress just didn’t care. The food was decent, the view is amazing and interior is quite nice too, so overall I liked it!

    It has a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. The views are awesome. Food came out quickly too. The Korean-style ribs, chicken and fried shrimp were very delicious. But Tadaki was so so. Anyway, The price is also reasonable. I want to visit again in the season when the rooftop is open. I recommand strongly here!!!

    We came for the skyline view!! Stunning. The pic really doesn’t do it Justice. The atmosphere in the bar was relaxing. We didn’t eat, just shared some fries and had a couple cocktails, enjoyed both. We honestly just came for the view.

    Ambiance and decor is green, but very quiet given the time of year as its little out of downtown. Food was not memorable at all, too many sweet and sickly sauces with everything, and very overpriced. Would come again perhaps just for the bar in the summer

    Decided to make a date night of it after going to the spa in the hotel. Service was good. Server was attentive and honest in food suggestions which I really appreciate. Food was just okay. Sharing plates were a good size. Flavours were okay but nothing great for the price and ambiance. Short ribs and fries (only starch on the menu). were best items. They use a lot of sesame seeds…on everything. Views of the city are spectacular. If you accept that you are going to a lounge more than a restaurant you are fine but if you want conversation the noise makes that impossible. I would go back but with low/no expectations. Going for vibe not good. Need a new chef and GM. Restaurant has so much potential given location, look and vibe.

    Food was excellent in flavour, and portion. Atmosphere was exceptional, especially with the city view. Great spot to check out with a couple friends. The only set back was our server was very keen on pushing us to buy alcohol multiple times thoughout the evening, which in most cases my company would be open to, but since we were all driving back more than an hour home from Toronto we chose to abstain. We ordered about 5 plates shared among 2 couples and it was more than enough to go around. Will def visit again soon.
