   Service was sadly very poor with poor knowledge of service standards and the menu. Wine and water glasses were not polished and were covered in water spots and smears. Side plates were also covered in water spots. The food was mediocre at best and very expensive. There is zero ambiance here. The only thing it has going for it is the view which is not worth the drive to this out if the way location. Very disappointed.

   The servers took so long to attend to us, no one came to the table until I called, nearly 15 mins after we were seated. The food also took long to come. The server who attended to our table made it a bit difficult to get through the menu and order stuff. There was unlimited but she didn’t want us to order.    I was so eager to try Valerie from what I’ve seen on TikTok and Instagram but my group of 5 was so disappointed :( We had a reservation at 8:30pm and were finally sat at around 9:20pm, we waited and had a drink at the bar. No server came over, ever! We tried to flag down anyone who would serve us and they kept just walking by quickly. They all looked stressed and overwhelmed. A server finally came over when she said “I saw you waving” and quickly took our food orders, this was around 9:50pm. The food was the best part, the sushi was amazing. When we finally got someone to come by again after so long, we asked for our bills. We were told they only do 1 bill altogether. Beautiful space, amazing view, great sushi, but this was one of the most unorganized, hectic restaurants I’ve been to, and I go out often. The server cashing us out told us “she wasn’t sure how long she’d be working here” while we were asking why everything was so off tonight, because of how awful and hectic it was. She apologized for the experience and was so kind, but the establishment was just so unorganized. Don’t come here if you expect to be served lol.

   It’s sad because the view is really amazing. You can see all west and east side of Toronto but the service was astonishingly bad. The food was poor but drinks were good. I had a reservation and they told us it was going to be an hour wait but ended up feeding us 15 minutes later.  I guess that’s what you get in a hotel restaurant. Would not recommend if you’re a Toronto local there is way better food at other restaurants it is a nice place to go up to for a cocktail at sunset in summer but that’s it.

    One of the best rooftop views of downtown Toronto, Toronto Island, Ontario Place, and the surrounding Exhibition Place. As with any rooftop view, the transition from dusk to night time is the best experience. The cocktails were very good. The food is more appropriate for sharing a snack, as opposed to a full dinner, but they were also very tasty. The music is mostly night club themed. The service started out very poorly, but the server who eventually figured out we had been waiting for 30 minutes with a glass of water, was very good. I guess sitting right adjacent to the bar gets you overlooked. Every server on staff walked past us multiple times and looked right at us, and just kept walking….including the guy who brought us water when we first arrived. We ceased to exist in plain sight for 30 minutes. We are old enough to be the parents of literally every other customer there, so maybe there’s a demographic selection thing happening - ?

    The service was horrendously bad. Our drinks arrived well after our food and we had to keep asking for water refills. They have a completely open patio on a rooftop with no umbrella coverage so you’re left out in the burning sun wondering if your server will ever come back to give you a drink. As well, the servers bringing food out brought the wrong food over 4 times. Totally bizarre experience. That said the food was delicious and well priced.

    The service was very slow - we’re expecting to have a full meal but took so long to get a round of drinks we gave up. Brought the wrong number of shots of the table and were disorganized. We were a table of 8, but still.

    From the moment we came in the vibe was awful! Tables and chairs were scattered, dirty tables. No ambience! It took 20 minutes for a servicer to come to our table! We ordered a vodka martini which took 15 minutes and had a sweet taste to it. We asked to remake them which took 55 minutes. They arrived exactly the same way. We could not drink them. I asked a server why it is taking so long, he said some people are waiting over an hour for service! The food was a mystery - discussing. We had to ask for silverware, my water glass was dirty! I go out for dinner at least 4 days a week. This rates number ONE as the worst dining experience l have ever had!!!! Don’t waste your time and money on this place!

    This patio has a really great vibe. Real hip. Drinks and eats were excellent and views were spectacular.. Will make a point to go back. Not a place to go if you're looking for a quiet date.

    The service was terrible. The place was empty but service was extremely slow. It took ages to get a table despite having a reservation. It is a rooftop bar with no fire lamps so there were bugs everywhere. Not the best of experiences

    First I got the wrong drink, then the wrong dish, eating alone I sat for 2 hours waiting for the service. Bugs were getting in via the open door that had hotel guests regularly cycling in and out of.

    I enjoyed our dinner at Valerie's Restaurant. The food was very good and the views from the restaurant are gorgeous. We mostly enjoyed the menu but as it was only newly opened the Iced Espresso Martino was not available.

    Had a great time with an amazing view. Everyone was super nice from the hostess to the server. I was a bit worried due to other reviews but I had no problems. Short ribs and oni sushi were so good. Got tequila shots recommendations by our server and we liked that as well. The view is beautiful and parking is easy.

    I would avoid! Place has extreme potential, but whoever is managing should be fired. Shamefully understaffed and food was terrible. Staff are trying their best but are overwhelmed/frazzled.

    Just don’t - 30 minute wait for reserved table, 45 minute wait for water at outdoor table, error in cocktail order - correct one never reappeared, left after 90 minutes without food arriving.

    Sat on the rooftop patio with a spectacular view of Toronto and the lake in the background … a bit of a chaotic evening as the hotel was also hosting two weddings and that stretched the bar and waitstaff quite a bit. All in all … a spectacular venue with unrivalled views … food was good (sharing platters)… didn’t see a wine list which surprised me … cocktails were well made, if a little slow to come out … pricing surprisingly reasonable (for Toronto) for a venue of that sort. Great pre game spot to meet up with friends.

    GOD AWFUL EXPERIENCE. DINE ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I had the misfortune of choosing Valerie Toronto for a birthday party, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster. From start to finish, the entire experience was an exercise in disappointment and incompetence. Let's start with the reservation. Despite specifically requesting a table with a view of the CN Tower, what did they do? They shoved us into a dingy secondary room that looked like a sad diner. To add insult to injury, the main dining area we had originally booked was taken over by a private event. And get this, according to Valerie Toronto's own social media, that event was scheduled for THE FOLLOWING DAY! Even the hostess was surprised by the change in date. When I confronted the hostesses about these issues, one of them actually laughed at me, the other promised to address the problems, but surprise, surprise, she conveniently disappeared in the middle of our meal without resolving anything. Now, let's talk about the service. I had asked for a bottle of prosecco to be at the table when we arrived. Guess what? It was not there. Instead the pushy waiter relentlessly pushed for us to buy shots of tequila. Which nobody wanted. Finally I had arranged for dessert with candles for the end of the night...it never got to the table. When I confronted the waiter about it, he said that no one had told him anything about dessert. I then asked for dessert expecting a dessert menu so birthday girl can choose something, instead he chose dessert for everyone, showed up without warning leaving us to stumble to sing happy birthday. If this was not enough, before our meal was finished, the fire alarm went off. firefighters showed up and we had to leave. Overall the worst experience ever. Expensive, rude staff, horrible food. Please go elsewhere.

    I am sorry but my experience was absolutely terrible. I went with my sisters and we were on a long weekend break, looking for the luxurious experience described. We were sort of forgotten about for a table, missed even giving us menus for sometime, then an hour later, we ended up with 2 drinks missing and 45 minutes later we got a hot appetizer as cold and it was "on the house because it took long", which okay I appreciate but you can imagine how it tasted. The drinks never arrived, we had literally 1 and our server ignored me a few times as I was trying to get her attention and just went to the bar. Another server came and warned us twice, once for the food hour and once for the drink hour. At that time, an hour later, we just wanted the receipt. The atmosphere is beautiful as a setting, but service and welcoming wise - well and no food and drink- made it quite a dissatisfying experience.

    Unfortunately a terrible experience - we sat for 30 mins with no drinks and no one taking our order. Such a shame as we were excited about going on a dinner date. We felt bad for the staff as they seemed completely overwhelmed.

    I came here with my girlfriend for Mother’s Day brunch. The ambiance was great and the view spectacular on this beautiful sunny day. The food was innovative and smartly put together creatively using incredients that you would not typically see elsewhere. Small details like the the Yuzu salad dressing on the house salad and the sesame on the shrimp tempura was refreshing to see. Was great to meet Chef de Cuisine Aidan who dropped by the table and explained how some of the ingredients work towards bringing out and enhancing the flavour of the overall dish. Valerie’s is a place for special occasions to us.

    We were seated at a table after almost 25 mins even though we had a reservation at 9. Which was ridiculous by itself. On top, our reservation was for 3 and we were offered a table for 2 to seat 3 people. Service was extremely slow as well. Disappointing

    Took my girlfriend to a place she’s never been as it was her birthday. Being on the 28th floor overlooking the lake and city is the only ambience at Valerie. Nothing else to “wow” about. Food took over an hour to be delivered to our table. It’s an Asian cuisine and they should stick to that. The Caesar salad was smothered in a white sauce and grated cheese. It was returned to the kitchen. The noise level was very loud. Would I return any time soon?. No.

    Lovely evening - tho i was expecting live entertainment to be an actual piano and a singer - food was good. Service was prompt and fast. Had the malbec wine it was delicious.

    The experience was a good one but I wish they paid more attention to some of the requests I had made when I made the reservation. It was a 5 year wedding anniversary celebration and while I could see them do special things for others who were celebrating nothing was done for us, despite me explicitly mentioning so.

    Over all there is nothing to say but I booked 2 weeks ago to celebrate my birthday and whent I got there they told me “sorry today there is not food service” 1. They don’t have communication with open table? How can someone make plans and drive from far and they did not do nothing about. The manager just told me: oh sorry I can re book your reservation for another day. So I can say: really bad service
