    Great service and ambiance but food was disappointing (!). Meat was lukewarm (16oz Steak) and got cold rapidly so not a good experience (maybe they forgot to heat the plates?) - flavour was fine but far from what you would expect at a top steak house.

    Vargas restaurant is where my family usually celebrate birthdays Absolutely loved the beef ribs, the sangria was good, the music was good, Benjamin our waiter was attentive and friendly ! Great evening!

    Dinner was nice. Bread and salad were excellent. Martini was perfect! The prime rib was overdone and placed on a bare plate which was not appealing to the eye! My sushi was amazing! Dessert was delicious! I would suggest a sprig of parsley or something needs to be added to the prime rib plate! Overall a nice way to celebrate our 52nd anniversary!

    Very nice atmosphere but a bit noisy. I had advised management I was there to celebrate a friend’s birthday but there was no tangible acknowledgment like a piece of cake, chocolate etc to acknowledge it, which was a disappointment and enough to go elsewhere next time I celebrate a birthday etc.

    Most likely the best, well aged steak I have ever eaten. The dry age process really brings out the flavour and the price point was excellent.

    Très déçu pour une facture de 500 on a eu droit à des patates laisser trop longtemps sous le réchaud très sèche des asperge brûler et un manque de classe des autres tables qui étaient nues pieds et criaient et était perturbante. Je donne rarement une si basse note mais j’étais extrêmement déçu hier. Si au moins on avait pu changer nos ingrédients qui étaient mauvais pour des plus frais j’aurais jamais donner une mauvaise note mais pour ce prix je m’attends à ne pas avoir mes choses brûler ou oublier sous le réchaud.

    - Nous étions dans la salle proche de la cuisine. Assez bruyant - Notre serveur a servi de grosses coupes ce qui a favorisé l'achat d'une 2e bouteille, mais ce n'était pas voulu. Servir de plus petites coupes svp.

    It was our first time at Vargas and we were not disappointed. From the service we received which was excellent by Sebastian. He gave us some really good suggestions. He made our experience that much better. The food was amazing, we all loved it!

    Great room, great service... a good choice for a nice dinner. Food generalky good but also inconsistent... at our table the steaks were "great, awesome " to "meh" to "like the Keg" to "tough, not cooked right." Mine was excellent. So, just inconsistent. Mashed potatoes great. Baked potatoes really dry. Again, just inconsistent. High prices, which is fine for a great place... and this place is (almost, sometimes) worth it. Overall, happy to go back and give it another try, because although imperfect, it was a good evening and overall a good experience.

    I felt that we were kind of rushed, even though the restaurant was not crowded. After payment, our glasses of water were never refiled, its like we were kind of expected to leave after payment. Food was ok, honest. French fries were disapointing considering the restaurant. Desert was amazing.

    A friend recommended Vargas. He said it was a must visit steakhouse in Montreal. Vargas did not disappoint. Service and atmosphere was impeccable, and the food was even better than words can describe. Highly recommend!

    Vraiment très très cher pour la nourriture servit. J'ai pris une assiette steack frites pour un coût de 52$. Le steack était tout petit, et la portion de frite aussi. Je suis sortie j'avais encore très faim.

    Merci pour le très bon service Mon bœuf aura pu être plus chaud Le serveur aura pu nous faire remarquer que nous avions pris le potage aux pommes de terre et que le bœuf était accompagné de pommes de terre en purée Nous aurions changé l’accompagnement ou notre entrée Autrement comme j’y vais régulièrement … la qualité de la nourriture est toujours excellente

    My wife and I had a great dinner at Vargas, on a Friday night. The lamp chops, sirloin steak and lobster tail were all very tasty. Would recommend for a date night. The service was also excellent.

    Really enjoyed my visit. This is my second time here. We both got the filet and perfectly cooked, medium rare. I had the pepper sauce to go with the steak. Service was excellent as wait staff checked often if we needed anything. Will be back.

    Oysters were not shucked properly. Bits of shell and sand in them. Steak was above average but not amazing and service was very slow
