Chef Adrian Garcia is serving an authentic Mexican popup menu, befitting the tropical vibe at Veranda, DTLA's urban oasis at Hotel Figueroa. Carnitas de Puerco, Chiles Rellenos and Enchiladas will be braised and baked 'al horno' in the outdoor brick oven. From Pescado Baja to Pollo Adobado to Carne Asada, classic tacos will be made with hand-pressed tortillas and topped with fresh, housemade salsas, as well as Mexican chiles and cheeses.

This is expensive for Mexican food. Everything is a la carte. Chips and salsa , rice and beans all extra.
Drinks were average price$12.00 a margarita with very little alcohol. Minimum 2 drinks to feel anything. No need for ride sharing. The food was delicious and service was spot on. But after an appetizer, entree and dessert I was still hungry. I weigh less than 105 lbs. servings could be larger.
The space was a little chilly. Fortunately, I was seated next to the fire place. It is after all, on the Veranda and open.
The restaurant was closed and yet still appears on Open Table as being open for lunch

Made a reservation for 3 during Dine LA's Restaurant Week. We were greeted with a friendly host who sat us down. He wasn't aware about the Dine LA menu, but inquired for us. He confirmed and brought us those menus on top of the regular menu. Veranda had a $29 menu that included guacamole, an entree and a tres leches dessert. It was a great value. I hadn't been to Hotel Fig in a while and I loved the renovations of the poolside bar. We need to come back in the summertime or simply in the daytime to take in the great view and chill atmosphere. Looking forward to another meal at Veranda.

We loved the ambience and how cozy it felt. Great tacos, excellent service and easy to park next door. The hotel offers so many options.
Waited at the host stand for 15 minutes as the servers and who I assume was the hostess ignored us. Left and went to another restaurant. The bar service at Hotel Figueroa was exceptional!!
Birthday brunch for my sister.
Small place to have a party, table of 15 next to us were celebrating a birthday and they decided to play games. Too loud for type of venue
Limited brunch menu maybe about 6 things on the menu but food was delicious got the French toast and breakfast tacos.

We really enjoyed the food and service at Veranda. There was some sort of music performance going on involving three bands while we were dining which made it even more enjoyable.

Everything we had was fantastic! Our companion from India said the cuisine is very faithful to Indian traditional food.

My actual reservation wasn’t honored. Apparently they were overbooked despite the fact that it showed that they had reservations available. They ran out of the special taco, which is fine, however, it took near an hour to get two tacos, and instead of being informed, the bartender (we ended up eating standing up at the bar) just brought out a carnitas taco instead. It was delicious, but should have been addressed. I was informed by table was ready as I walked out the door. This was their first Tuesday, so I’ll definitely give it another go, since the food was delicious.

Great setting by the pool at the Hotel Figueroa. Simple menu of tacos and salads. Food is hit or miss, but no one would mistake it for Guisados. Pleasant service. But the real reason to eat here is the pool adjacent environment that feels like a luxury resort in Mexico.
Came for brunch and the previous time I visited the bottomless mimosas were included with entrees, but this time they were not. My bad for not noticing on the bill until it was too late, though. The ambiance is lovely and would absolutely return for a relaxed brunch by the pool!

Came here for brunch on Easter Sunday and fell in love. The decor inside both the hotel and restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the restaurant has a nice pool view.
Food is also delicious and moderately priced, and who can beat $11 bottomless mimosas?! And they don’t stiff you on the champagne eiThe only dish I thought was overpriced was the $32 steak & eggs because at that price, I expect a steak that is TO DIE FOR.
$10 valet or street parking, and the restaurant validates for the first 2 hours. The restaurant is pool side and and only partially enclosed, but there are heat lamps all throughout to keep you warm.

What a jewel of a place in the gorgeously remodeled Hotel Figueroa. Conveniently located within a block of Staples Center. We went before a Laker game and had great cocktails and shared delicious appetizers. Table was perfect in a beautiful covered indoor/outdoor room with a bar and next to a chic pool area. We loved the design, food, service and ambiance. Such a nice change of pace from LALive. We will be returning!
This is an oasis in the middle of DTLA! Great ambiance, and our server was friendly and helpful. We were pretty hungry so we ordered ceviche, Caesar salad, grilled Branzini and zucchini flatbread for 2. Our server recommended that we cut back. Good thing we took his advice! Everything was delicious!
The menu was extremely limited, and the food was just ordinary.
Delicious Food/Drinks. The zucchini flat bread with burrata and lemon zest was amazing.
Service was "family style" in the sense that you didn't have a designated server and instead everyone helped all tables. This made things a little confusing/sometime they would repeat offering the same questions/suggestion so I guess you could say the service was too good!

Very beautiful place but food could have been better considering the price relative to other joints.
We had a nice time. The view of the pool is outstanding. The Branzzimo was the best. We got the ricotta dip but it’s too sweet. Suggest the hummus instead
The Hotel fig is my new favorite spot downtown! We have dinned and had drinks on a few different occasions and each experience was wonderful. The service is far above the other places in the area.
The service and food was excellent last night at the Veranda. My only suggestion is don't try the cocktail from the specialty menu with Mescal ( I forgot the name of the drink) Both recent trips this was recommended. I made the mistake of trying it the first time. Maybe it's a personal preference thing but did not like it at all and no one at are table did. This time I had the Pisco punch, don't let the name fool you it's not really a punch but more a take on a classic Pisco sour but not as sour! So good I had to have two! Would like to see a few more options, maybe a gin based specialty cocktail
Dinner is shared plates which was perfect for my wife and I. The Asparagus' was so tasty, I'm sure this was fresh farm to table the flavor was great. It was served on a bed of quinoa but better than any I have had before it had pomegranate at was roasted with something, This could be a dish all on its own. Before that we started with the Rosetta very refreshing and different with honey and walnuts! As a main we enjoyed the grilled chicken that was served with two very tasty different sauces
Can't wait to go back.

I saw a review of the Hotel Figueroa on a Sunday tv show and it looked interesting - the menu & the drinks.
My group and I needed a place to meet and eat after the Women's Day March & Rally and I thought this is the place. It worked out great for location, food and service. Also, the view of the pool was perfect. Looking forward to a return visit.
We went for lunch on a rainy day. They seated us at a great table and service was excellent. We loved the food. I highly recommend!
Went for breakfast. The ambiance is amazing. Service was a bit slow. We were seated towards an outside corner. So maybe that’s why?
