With the upscale ambience and high prices, I anticipated a better experience than I had. Tables were so close together that passing between them was challenging and conversation among four of us became strained as the restaurant filled. Our servers were attentive and polite, but their casual attire seemed out of place. As a previous reviewer noted, recommendations seemed off point. We found the recommended pork porterhouse dry and flavorless. Beef short rib was good but very small. Redfish and ribeye were very good and highlights of our mains. Mushroom, squash, and pepper sides were just alright but pricey for small portions. Marrow and mussels were also just alright but pricey for fairly small portions. Desserts were the highlights, especially crème brûlée and mousse cake. Next time I want to spend $500 on dinner for four with one drink each, it won’t be at Vestal.

We love this restaurant, we have been there 6 times, every time our experience was great, food is delicious, presentation is great , service is top , and the decor is beautiful. Joseph is great, the ladies at the front are pleasant and beautiful , and the owner is very humble, always comes to say hi and check on his dinners. Can’t recommend this place enough

The best meal and cocktails I’ve ever had! Hailey was our server and she was excellent! We really have nothing negative to say about this place. It is pricier but well worth it! We will definitely be back.
