    We had an amazing evening celebrating our one year anniversary. We sat in their newly renovated, heated Atrium and it was gorgeous and very romantic. Every course was delicious, service couldn’t be better or more welcoming and they acknowledged our anniversary at the start and end of our meal (with dessert and a sparkler). Very expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

    The service was less than expected. Our server was not helpful at navigating the menu and when I asked what else could be substituted for shrimp he basically said the restaurant had no other protein and seemed annoyed that we were asking questions. He was also not helpful with the wine suggestions and barely checked in on us during the meal. Given the cost of the meal, I expected better service with less attitude.

    We went to Via Allegro to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It had been many years since we had last eaten there. Although the menu was not huge and the prices much higher than we remembered, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Although this is not a place we can afford to frequent, it will be at the top of our “special occasion” list.

    Impeccable service. The food was delicious. Sorbe is offered in between courses for palate cleansing. We dined on a Monday and the restaurant was near capacity. Reservations are recommended.

    We request a certain seating area on the reservation and were happy to have that seating. Service was excellent both Alex and Boris are great. Food was delicious. We had our daughter drop in unexpectedly and she is very picky on what and where she eats. Rave reviews from her and she will be returning as well in the future, well done.

    Been going for decades. I understand food cost went up. But $240 for the Silver Spoon Risotto ( for 2 )? It was $50 or $60 before for single serving. Sorry, too rich for my blood. Ended up ordering 2 Mushroom Risotto for $38 each, much better value…it was a bit watery though. Step up your game, changing owners shouldn’t affect food quality and never mind more than doubling the price.

    Coming from South Africa the Toronto restaurant experience is quite different, this reminded me more of the experience in South Africa. Beautiful decor, buzzing ambience without being loud and intrusive, fantastic service and delicious food. Had some amazing wine from a really good selection and a three course meal that left me wanting to book my next visit! We'll definitely be back here.

    We had a great meal. I’m from Italy and can testify the quality of ingredients is good and the risotto was amazingly good. Will go back for sure once in a while (it’s pricy).

    Excellent dining experience to celebrate our friends anniversary. The food, ambience and service was amazing. Would highly recommend the calamari and mushroom risotto. Can’t wait to go back!

    The food is fantastic, but 4-5x on the cost of wine is aggressive. Prisoner at Keg = $90 / Prisoner at Via Allegro = $150... LCBO price is $55.
