My first time there, definitely not the last. Truly the best meal to end my week in Vancouver. My server was great and assured me that this was the best crabcake in the city. I think he was right.

From being seated service was a tad clunky. The host lacked warmth and she was off putting when we asked for our 5 pm rezzie and we were early (she asked us to leave until five). Upon return we waited about ten minutes for our table still even though the restaurant was heavily staffed and empty. Drinks took a fair bit to come, appies came quickly but entrees were delayed. Cannelloni pasta was undercooked and sent back. My biggest gripe is the value. For $50 the portions were very lacking with the sides. Caesar salad was tiny… And charging $68 for Matua which is a $14 bottle of wine (and terrible) on sale at liquor stores seemed exorbitant! The restaurant manager was truly exceptional! Professional, quick, genuine…. Kudos to the pastry chef…. Holy the deserts were impressive! We had: caviar, oysters, Caesar salad, salmon poke (crazy sweet and tiny portion), bone in ribeye, mashed potatoes, steelhead, beef Wellington (cooked too rare), truffle cannelloni (replaced with prawn tempura which received rave reviews), Black Forest gateau, espresso affogato, basque cheesecake, donuts (delicious), cocktails and wine. $700+ bill for two adults, two teens.

Took over an hour to get our food. Also we were told to get a cab at the garage level and we were there about 15 minutes. We went to the street and that’s where all the cabs were.

I recently visited The Victor, and while the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired. The wait time for our meal was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. It seemed like our server was completely overwhelmed and overworked, which resulted in poor service overall. Unfortunately, the lack of attention and long wait times overshadowed the quality of the food. I won’t be returning.

Not a lot of variety for buffet. Sushi was very bland. No drinks included in buffet except water and coffee. Pastry and candy station were also bland and stale, not much desserts available either. Overall not worth the price.

Excellent food, professional service. The flat iron steak with chimichurri was cooked to perfection, and incredibly tender and delicious. Only mild issue was too much spice on the cannelloni dish, which overwhelmed other flavors.
