Wonderful food, wonderful service, Matthew was amazing, will definitely come again!
The decor is wonderful. I was surprised to see patrons in torn jeans and ball caps but maybe that is norm for a restaurant in a hotel. The bread was tasty however the steak/filet and mac n cheese were average at best. Portion size was good but I would not return because the keg is far superior and gotham or black and blue are on a completely different level. Note to hostess: when it's a 2/3 empty restaurant don't sit patrons so close to another table until necessary.
I knew coming into this restaurant that it is quite fancy, which means a little more pricey. The service was great and the cocktails and food was super yummy. Only thing is I was surprised and disappointed about was paying almost $8 for still tap water.... I mean we are already paying a lot of money for streak and alcoholic beverages. I could've just gone to the sink and fill my glass with water myself and it would be the same. So to people reading this, if you are going to drink something, just get alcohol. Not worth it getting water...
I think the vibe and ambience was excellent but food while was not bad but it was not special either but then for the same price you have much better option. We got Steak and sushi and pasta. Also the plates were missing any garnish and it looked as good as a plate i would make at home
Overall i might be back for the ambience but definitely not for the food
Location and ambience is fantastic. Food is just ok.
Was exceptional food and so happy to go for Valentine’s Day dinner! However their menu was condensed for this evening which I was a bit disappointed cuz we love there full menu!
Wonderful food! Service was amazing
Difficult to flag down server during our entire meal, although we understand it was a busy night but the experience fell short of expectation. Extremely delayed delivery of dishes that left us starving and unattended to. While the steak we ordered was decent, the texture was on the dry side even when the order was for medium rare. Although I am not expecting Michelin-starred level of quality, unnamed chain steakhouses in the city may be a better bet for those looking for a well-rounded choice.
The risotto dish portion is sooo small. Not worth $27. More like a side dish
I made a reservation. I wish they had allocated a larger table because the restaurant was not full house. It was small table for 2. Its okay but not comfortable to order a variety of dishes.
very underwhelming evening. I was hoping for a bit more quality and taste.
Thank you so much! Service and food is always amazing!
Expensive but good. Great food. Table for 2 seemed to be small.
What a great place to wine and dine. We will be back!
Had an amazing view of the Science World, food and service was amazing!
The quality of the food is very average, lower than expectations given the price tag
Unfortunately we had a bad server. All
Three of us have quite a few years in the industry and we are beyond patient when a place is busy and you can see a server hustling, it happens. We were just plain neglected. Our starters came out and were finished with no one checking on us. Our mains arrived as one person was still working on their starter and our plates had not been cleared so awkward clear happened while trying to make room for the mains. Still no server. Our drinks had been empty for 10 min. as we saw our server attend to other tables. We eventually waved down another server and ordered a bottle of wine which our server brought over and instead of just apologizing, he explained they run brunch on sundays which had left them short handed - didn’t appear that way and at no point did he seem to be run off his feet. He was smug instead of apologetic and it was hard to take. I personally enjoyed my food but we would have definitely had another bottle of wine if the service had been better and more attentive. All 3 of us felt like we wouldn’t be back after such a disappointing experience and there being such many other wonderful restaurants to visit, especially during dine out.
We did the dine out menu so understandably it was busy and may not be reflective of a normal experience. Our entire table ordered steak which tasted good but was more well done than we asked for. The service was a slight miss. Our server was nice, but our table bread got forgotten and did not come until the entrees arrived and one of our desserts was wrong.
Amazing ambience and wonderful staff. Food plating was noticeably weird and needs work. I’m not one to judge plating, ever, but it was weird in a way that didn’t suit the type of restaurant that it is. Not the most memorable food unfortunately. But overall, enjoyable.
The food came out cold for our table of 5 and took 45 mins for a latte and an Americano, we had to look for our server a few times acquire things and his help. The live music was wonderful. Food was average for the price and for what other lower cost restaurants provide. I found evening service were better than day time.
Claire was fantastic!!! hope you keep more servers like her that makes the experience more worthwhile, smile while serving is very important to me. Kudos to the chef, my second time and food that my family tries keeps getting better and better
Food was just ok but not so good as last visit, food was served slow and fruits not fresh. The service I received was really bad. The waitor spilled half glass of water on my table but did not even wiped it off until i reminded him. Did not get water refilled either without asking for it. I understand restaurant is busy because of the dine out event, but it should not be an excuse to lower the service standard. If they cannot accommodate so many guests, they should schedule more staff or accept fewer reservations. Will not visit Parq again or recommend it to others.
The customer service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The time in between the food courses was longer than anticipated but over all great experience.
We would very much like to say a big thank you to our server Surendra L. He’s very accommodating, detail oriented and went extra mile with his service. In summary, he’s very helpful and promptly addressed to our request and needs the entire dinner. Big thumbs up!
Excellent top notch service!! Super attentive by staff and you feel that everyone was working like a team (helping each other out to clear dishes, checking on you, etc). The venue and decor was classy but casual enough to bring family but better for date night or out with friends. Great view of the city. Food was great but not exceptional. Drinks and alcohol cost very reasonably price for venue and atmosphere.
Beef tartare, cheese onion bread and steak was very good. It’s nice that bread was complementary. My husband always says if the bread is good the meal will be good. I agree with him. Dessert was good. Being a steakhouse I didn’t expect dessert to be outstanding.
We were seated in the section which is the covered patio. Loved this section as it was darker and romantic. Service was good. Very impressed that the restaurant didn’t give small portions of food because it’s dine out. The cocktails were amazing. Very impressed.
Went for DineOut and definitely felt rushed to eat. Asked for tea with my dessert and the waiter looked at his watch and said “Ummm, ok, you still have time.” Wow, what a response.
Came for dine-out, risotto entree was small in size, the steak plate wasn’t well presented, no sauce and 3 pieces of peppers beside some mashed potatoes. Overall somewhat disappointed.
I really enjoy fine dining and the atmosphere of a lot of fine dining restaurants. However, for the price that you pay to eat at high end restaurants, I would expect that the food tastes good as well. The food was low-average at best—overly salty, way too small portions, and not even that visually appealing. The service and ambience was great, but there are hundreds of other restaurants in Vancouver with great service, ambience, and food as well.
Foie gras is excellent! Cheesebread is lacking. My frd really enjoyed her steak. The mushroom risotto was ok. Coffee icecream was really good. Bone marrow ive had better. Tartar was decent.
Service was excellent. Staff was awesome and friendly. The only thing is that the table I was on felt a little too low and not as comfortable. Other than that it was great.
Food was bland, the dessert we wanted was sold out but they didn't tell us so they gave us something else. We didn't have a choice. Sadly, it was too sweet and I only took one bite.
Service was terrible. No explanation of any of the food when it arrived.
When we mentioned that we were disappointed in the dessert, we weren't offered a replacement.
I will never go back.
It was a ladies night , my daughter and a friend , we were seated by the water feature so it was not too noisy . Our waiter was gracious , attentive without being aggressive. We all had something different off the dine out menu and all of us were delighted with our meal . Looking forward to warm weather when we can sit outside
The service was excellent there
Absolutely outstanding; immediately shared review via social media sites & making plans to return ASAP
Been here before but went for dineout, as it was a good deal! Food was pretty good but not like our usual experience. My regular angus steak was better than my gfs +$18 fillet, which was a little disappointing. The chocolate tart was good but a little too sweet, though i finished it anyways! Ended up ordering sushi as well as the portions were small from dineout (kind of expected) but the bill ended up being about equal as usual.
Dine out experience - it was crowded and noisy
Food not worth the price. Better restaurants in Vancouver. The quality and taste of food was subpar
There was a dine out menu that was not expected with great value. The ribeye was good quality. It will be enhanced if you order the dipping sauce on the side known as the Trio. I forgot to order it regrettably.
