    I was staying at the JW Marriott and booked a reservation for 5pm on Coldplay concert day. This place was BUSY before I even walked in (and they open at 5pm). My server was excellent-missed his name but he is from Edmonton. The food was fantastic and he made sure that I was out within an hour so lots of time to get to my concert. I will be back! 😊

    There are so many things that could be done to improve your guests experiences. We waited 45 minutes for two sushi rolls, however the burger came within 10 minutes. There was one bartender to fill all the orders from a full bar and 1/3 full restaurant. Our two martinis sat on the bar for 10 minutes before the bartender brought them over to us even though he was also making drinks while three other people did “busy” work. The ( excellent) bread was served without cutlery and plates—we had to ask. We also had to ask for a second round even though our glasses were empty and moved away from us to indicate we were done. While the burger was fantastic, we ended up sharing it as it was getting cold as we waited for the sushi. In the end we cancelled the sushi and the manager compted our second round and the sushi. This was surprising as they had a long line up of guests with 5 pm reservations. One would think they hat the anticipated rush between 5 and 6 could be more efficiently planned for. I could easily help the staff to improve their average service. Respectfully, Stuart Richardson

    I tried the Disco buffet. This is the 2nd time offered and they are trying to determine what works and what doesn’t. I was disappointed despite having great dining experiences in the past. The $85 price was too high compared to other buffet brunches downtown. I appreciated the seafood station and sushi station. The carvery station could have been better. The roasted ribeye was tougher, the slab bacon was great and the sides were good but was not attractive by being on small plates. The dessert station was not appealing. The cakes were dry. The juices were great. My daughter was looking forward to the waffles and pancakes but they did not pass her standards. Few hits and misses. I’m afraid I will not be trying it again and would not recommend to others. Hopefully it improves over time.

    We tried the disco themed buffet that takes place every third Sunday of each month. Very thoughtfully put together. I was impressed with all the different types of food. It was so tasty. You can make your own cocktails I had a Caesar! My 13 year old enjoyed the experience too

    Overpriced experience (by about $70). "Disco" theme was just 70s music and some half-deflated disco ball dollar-store balloons. Food was clearly a mix of frozen, pre-made hashbrowns, dry waffles and pancakes, razer thin greasy bacon, and old fruit. So expensive for such little quality that it was offensive.

    It’s too bad / the ambience and food were delicious. Our server was not very good not attentive at all. The service was extremely slow, we had to ask for water and cocktail menus. Never filled our water unless requested. My gf wine glass had been empty for awhile and then her steak dinner came and she wanted red wine - we had to ask for our server because we wanted to order more drinks. Hard to want to come back or recommend the establishment when the service is so poor even though the food was great

    Ordered the Wagu A5 steak, it was full of fat and when I questioned it was told maybe that was that particular cow! The place, service and atmosphere was great. Just do disappointed with the food

    I have eaten at the Victor on several occasions; held corporate events there and eaten personally. I have two guests with me and once seated we waited 20 mins for our waiter to ask for our drink order. Me letting him know further elevated my level of disappointment as he continued with bad/worst service from there. To top it off my $80 steak was over cooked; at this point the experience was so bad I couldn’t be bothered with sending back out of fear of what he would do with it. Tragic

    Our small team dinner was outstanding, as was our server Christian who took exceptional care of our table as well as the private group of our larger team members. I would recommend this restaurant and Christian (specifically) to anyone looking to host a business dinner or simply to enjoy wonderful food and atmosphere.

    I cannot have any spice at all so unfortunately some Dishes I could not try even though I would have really Liked to. I ordered the filet mignon and it was amazing. The side of mashed potatoes was good but I would have preferred to have some fresh black pepper on it but our server didn’t come back to check on us during our meal so I was unable to ask for it which was disappointing. We were seated outside which we preferred since it was a gorgeous night and they had warm blankets for us which I loved! Next time I will ask to sit outside again but this time near the heaters as this is an option and I get cold very easily!

    Came here to celebrate a best friend’s birthday and overall, we did enjoy ourselves. We came on a Friday night around 6:30pm. (Note: It’s a good idea to make reservations beforehand). There’s dedicated parking to The Victor and the walk way to the restaurant from the elevator is quite pretty on a beautiful day. The dishes were overall fairly priced and we found the quality to be good. The Victor is a nicer option if you’re looking to come with a big party or date night with your significant other. The interior is definitely a huge plus! The volume inside can get a bit loud though. The drink menu has a lot to offer too - a wide selection of wine, sake and others. The food menu consists of a good balance of a little bit of everything. Both land and sea options are quite vast without being too overwhelming. Servers are knowledgeable with the menu and offer good suggestions. Overall it was a win for my party and we’d like to come again! There were some dishes we preferred over others but everyone has their preferred palate. 😊 Dishes ordered: Dungeness Crab Cake, Steal Tartare, Bluefin Tuna Tataki, Porterhouse, Mac & Cheese Waffle, Crispy Brussels Sprouts.

    I had the wagyu and my girl had the 1/2 lb crab with brussel sprouts along with a jumbo shrimp appy and cheese cake for dessert to share. The food came in a timely manner and they were attentive to the concert we were seeing after without us having to tell even tell them they just asked us if we were going there after and suggested we order our appy along with our food so the kitchen can get started and we can make it where we're going after on time. Every time my cup was almost empty she was filling it up and she was knowledgeable about our questions on the food. (We loved the brussel sprouts and had to know how it was cooked) overall it was a great experience for us both and we'll be coming back.

    The first time I had visited “The Victor” a few months back my overall impression was that it was underwhelming and not in any ways “a victor”. After my second visit the team deserves enormous compliments for the way they have been able to focus, acknowledge and certainly eliminate any previous inadequacies. The maturity of the crew dazzled due to their cool and experienced behaviour handling slight variations to the menu. Rather than imploding or sulking by “stewing in anger” when confronted by feedback as some “Not Victors” will the crew chose to clearly apply a growth mindset. “The Victor” team clearly harnessed their skills and talents to provide a rewarding experience during my last visit. Keep moving forward! For specifics I ordered two California rolls since it was so well prepared and I couldn’t stop eating it. The whole fish is a must for fish eaters. This place is also great for late night eating!

    My son and I went for dinner before the Ed Sheeran concert at BC Place. The staff was mindful of our turnaround time and did a wonderful job recommending menu items that would be quick and delicious. Service, food and atmosphere was great. Location for the show was ideal. Would definitely recommend!

    Sushi was nominal and overpriced. Charged me oysters which we never received, but took it off after I told them. Waiter was nice but communication was not good. Wasn’t impressed like I thought I hoped we would be.

    Each of our 4 dinners was excellent. I had the ribeye and it melted in my mouth. The tables felt a little close and noise level a little high for me. Service was good but I wouldn't call it special.
