Since the turn of the 20th century, afternoon tea has been a tradition at the King Edward Hotel. Throughout the
history and evolution of afternoon tea, our service has remained one of the paramount tea experiences Toronto has to offer. As with anything we do, when embracing the future of our tea, we do so with respect to the history and tradition that has made us synonymous with Tea in Toronto.

We invite you to step through our doors, pass into a world where old world luxuries become revived, and experience
the personality and charm our hotel has to offer. Chef Daniel Schick and his innovative team constantly push the
boundaries of sweet and savory in whimsical and playful manners to truly create a royal experience.

In an effort to sate even the most experienced tea palates, The Omni King Edward Hotel is proud to offer a
meticulously curated selection of premium teas from two Canadian companies: Sloane Tea Company from Toronto
and Tea Leaves based out of Vancouver.

                          The staff were friendly, and attentive..refilling our water glasses and checking on us at appropriate intervals. The tea selection was very good, the teapots were generous (about 4 to 5 large teacups in each), and the food was decent, bountiful, and well presented. The savoury items were delightful, and the hands down winner for us was the “chicken pot pie”. The tartlet shell was so buttery, and paired perfectly with the filling. The sweets were okay (the panna cotta was our favourite). It was so light and delicate. Unfortunately, the rest left us a little disappointed, with unbalanced, or overly rich flavours (our opinion) for a spring themed tea.

                          Sandwiches were very dry, tasted stale. Tee despite steeping it for a long time hardly turned colour. Ambience was a little restless and had no wow factor. Expected a lot more for high tea that cost almost $240 for two people after tax, and tip. Disappointing

                          We had a great experience here at afternoon tea. The food, ambiance and service were excellent. Rey went out of his way to make sure a 12 year old’s birthday was very special and we so appreciated it. Thank you!

                          This is such a lovely and authentic Afternoon Tea experience- the sandwiches, scones and desserts are beautifully crafted and taste absolutely divine! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service is excellent. We had a such a great experience with Dey/Day (apologies for the spelling).

                          We had a lovely day for afternoon tea at the King Edward Hotel. The service was amazing and the tea service was beautiful and very tasty! I had the Garden Tea and it was delicious. My friend has about allergy and the my took great care to make sure her serving was nut free.

                          Afternoon Tea- I love how the food is displayed on the tiers with the desserts and scones. Unfortunately the sandwiches were served on a plate separate from the tiers and finger sandwich style (the beef Wellington, I would hope that it was in a puff pastry, but it wasn’t). The food flavours were good and the desserts were just the right amount of sweetness.
