I usually love Vietnamese Street kitchen, and we have quickly become regulars at your Brindleyplace restaurant due to recently moving to the area. However, I booked a table for 8:30, for 5 people. Upon arrival we were made to feel unwelcome, a male server glaring at us upon walking in, not looking happy to see us at all. A table was not ready there were his friends or Uber drivers sitting on every table, we were shown to a table for 4 once he asked a driver to move out of a table, the same server said moodily “would you like me to move a table?” Which we obviously needed as there were not enough seats, then walked away scolding. I appreciate that some of the tables were dirty, and it had maybe been a busy night as in that particular moment there was only one male member of staff on the shop floor. I've worked in hospitality and know how it works. However, we didn’t mind waiting a little, but we weren’t greeted nicely. We usually love it here and were very disappointed, so we left the restaurant shortly after being seated, as menus were also given to us in a non friendly manner with no asking if any others had dined with you before or asking to take a drinks order. I just felt like we had walked into a place that made us feel unwelcome, and it is a shame that it has now tainted our favourite restaurant near home.

Overall Everything was a strong 4/5, however, I was really excited to try out their pho but it really wasn’t as good as expected. The broth really wasn’t very rich at all which is quite disappointing as this is a Vietnamese staple dish.. Furthermore, the belly pork was not crispy. Orher than that everything was great, all the starters were perfect.

Booked a table and arrived on time only to be told there were no free tables available and would have to wait. Food was expensive, prices had been hiked and were not as advertised online. Food was incredibly bland and certain things were over cooked. Service was slow and had to flag a server to take the order after 25 mins. Don’t normally leave reviews but this was so bad and such a waste of money.

Booked confirmed. Organized 2 taxi’s. Get there Restaurant is closed down. At least 3-4 days before. This was a business dinner for a client. So embossing. Will never book with Booking again.

Really nice atmosphere here for a Saturday evening. Great value for money with very good portion sizes. and friendly service. We intended to order bowls as well as starters but two smaller plates each was more than sufficient. This was disappointing as we were really impressed with the food and excited to taste more flavours. It's a shame we were only visiting Birmingham and can't easily return to this great place in the near future. Highly recommend for authentic Vietnamese food and service.

Last minutes booking which was accommodated easily. The restaurant is cosy but not too small and it filled up quite quickly after we arrived. The waitresses were pleasant and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food. I enjoyed my starter which was vegetable spring rolls and my main was the rice bowl with tofu and mushroom. A little disappointed with the side salad as it was merely iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and grated carrots. Other than that for the price and what it was I enjoyed the food.

Went there for Valentines day, the menu was quite limited - no summer rolls - the main reason we came. Hence, very disappointing. For mains we chose a platter for sharing - mainly fried pork. It was okay - but not more. Would not go there again.

Tucked away a little from the main Brindley Place restaurants ,this little place is worth seeking out . A great place for casual dining and the service speedy and friendly so perfect for pre- theatre .

From the moment I walked through the door everything was terrible, the lady that 'greeted' the 2 of us, pushed us off onto another girl who then walked straight upstairs without inviting us.. we followed anyway, the area was bare the floor had bits of food here and there and our table was very sticky. Menus were given but not drinks lists so we had to ask for one, had to wait 15 minutes to order just a drink. Only had a few small plates on the deal that was offered and it was very cheap. We were left alone upstairs the whole time we were there other than another table of guests who were paying, I asked for the bill and was told we had to go to the till down stairs to pay even though the lady had just taken card payments from the table next to us. I wouldn't return as we wasnt looked after in a professional manner and felt like a nuisance if anything.

Is this a joke , I booked to go to the Vietnamese St Kitchen 2pm 27th December...I travelled to Birmingham with my family only to find a sign in the window stating the venue was shut for the Christmas period . Now I get an email asking for a review ! I'm sure the food is lovely ( reading previous reviews) but it would help if the place is actually open when they take bookings . Luckily we found another place to eat. We were wholly disappointed.

We had a fantastic time there! Myself and some colleagues were up for a work trip that coincided with a birthday and so they closed off the upstairs section for us! This meant we were away from those having more of a quick meal of picking up take out. It was very thoughtful. The staff were attentive and gave recommendations. They were very good with gluten free and would make adjustments. Everyone had a great time and it was clear that the staff would go out of their way to help, even giving recommendations for the evening. Would definitely recommend for whatever your purpose. Great food and service.
