    We go at lunch for their fabulous fish and chips. We’d go for dinner but they don’t serve them a dinner anymore.

    Our only concern was that the meal was somewhat on the cool side as opposed to being hot! It was not sufficient to send back but was getting very close. Other than that the entire outing was good.

    The food is good and copious, If you dont want to have lunch and just wait from breakfast until dinner, you will be adequately fed here. The kitchen can be overwhelmed if you come when there are a lot of others, so try to pick a non-prime time for dinner and you wont be frustrated by a ridiculous waiting time. For us, dinner at 7:40 meant waiting 45 minutes for a simple caesar salad to appear. When it DID appear, it was excellent, BUT.... My impression, as a first time visitor to S S Marie is that t his is likely the best place to eat in town.

    Four of us dined at the View restaurant and enjoyed our meal. The menu was a different one from our previous dinner there four months previous and we appreciate the fact that the chef keeps the menu fresh and new. The service was friendly and attentive. The view of the St. Mary’s River from dining room (and outdoor patio in season) is beautiful.

    We very much enjoyed our dinner at View! We started with the duck bombs and they were very good. For my main course I had the butternut squash ravioli and I have to say it was the best meal, other than fish, that I have ever had! It was a bit spicy which I enjoyed. My husband had the flank and Brie with the pesto mashed potatoes and he enjoyed his meal. Our server was very attentive and fun to visit with! We also enjoyed watching the people and dogs walking on the boardwalk outside the restaurant.

    Our server Jana was fantastic. Had such a great evening. She was warm and welcoming and very informative. She was attentive but not intrusive. We didn’t want for a thing. Creat conversation and even offered to take our picture when she saw us struggling with selfies.

    Our server, Julia, was top notch. Made suggestions regarding food, took an interest in us and chatted but not too much. Dinner was delicious. After a long day of travel we ate light with Spinach salad and appetizers (crab cakes were the best ever and pakora). Beautiful view of the water and excellent menu and wine choices

    I had booked a table to celebrate my wife graduating from the RPN program. I wrote that in the reservation for special requests and wasn’t sure if they do anything with that information. Well they had a very nice card congratulating her on the table. Then they created this shareable desert with another congratulatory message written in chocolate and the chef brought it to the table! So the service and treatment was amazing. The food was so another level. Exact to order and delicious. We are all people who generally add salt and pepper to our food but none of us did. Our waitress was friendly and personable and just added to the great experience.

    The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a window table with a direct view of the river which was lovely. Comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Food was very flavourful. Will be back.

    We were not happy with some of the menu options. For example, bread had to be ordered. The price for three pieces of bread (with no butter) was outreagous ($5). Cutting costs by eliminating a low cost item like bread, which has normally been included with a meal, seems to be on the cheap side. We were told that the starch options were mashed potatoes or rice. However, we saw that someone at a table beside us received a baked potatoe. Did we miss something? There was a pretty skimpy offering of vegetables for the main course. The server did an excellent job of serving us so none of the above is against her.

    We were very cold. There was a major draft where we sat and it really ruined the experience. We are also believers in offering complimentary bread and salad with all meals. At the prices you have, it is cheap on your part not to offer a small house salad. Our server was amazing.

    Beautiful restaurant overlooking the river. Menu choice is limited for lunch but a good selection available. Staff friendly and polite. Food was great and a good size portion served.

    Very slow and food was not hot (pasta was chilling). After waiting so long didn't want to send it back. Two tables that came in after us were served first Asked for ice cream for desert and 20 minutes later we still didn't have it . We asked for our bill and waitress commented they were preparing for a large table, so our ice cream was forgotten. I don't consider that a reason for our table of 4 to be left waiting.

    Disappointing that their online menu wasn’t updated because one of the items we would have liked to order they didn’t have anymore and the item I did order they said they ran out of it. And usually most restaurants give you a free dessert for your birthday but not there.

    Food, service and ambience was excellent. Limited food choices however for anyone on a diabetic diet. No “view” in evening at this time of year, as it’s dark so early.

    Food, service and ambience was amazing. Dinner was prepared perfectly and dessert was delicious. Ate there in two occasions. Breakfast was awesome too, we did not eat from the buffet, instead ordered from the menu. Highly recommend.

    I booked with OpenTable and received confirmation of my booking. About ten minutes before I arrived at the restaurant I received notice that my reservation was changed to 3 people from 2 ...which I thought was odd. When I arrived I was advised that I did not have a reservation in spite of showing the receptionist my confirmation. They were able to seat us but unfortunately not at the table I had requested at which which oddly enough three people were seated after our arrival. Not sure where the problem arose as I have used OPEN Table before without any issues.

    Decided to celebrate an anniversary dinner at The Delta View, but was sadly disappointed with our meals. Both the salmon & pork tenderloin entres were dry. The mashed potatoe also tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. I was expecting given the pricey costs of both meals, the manager would have checked-in with us after we let the server know of our food quality, or perhaps some kind of compensation (i.e. complimentary dessert) especially when we indicated at the time the reservation was made that we were celebrating a special occasion. Recognize it may have been busy for the reduced staff, surely someone could have at least acknowledged what was supposed to be our special evening 😕.

    The food is delicious. Definitely recommending blackened tuna, braised beef ravioli, spinach salad. Liked the idea of promoting local with min 50% of beverages being from Ontario.
