This was my first time and Vij's and it certainly won't be the last. They were welcoming and observant. They were also very accommodating for food allergies. I have already recommended Vij's to friends and family and I will certainly be going back! Thank you for the lovely meal!

Vij and other staff made our group of four feel very welcome. Rockfish was excellent. Popsicles were excellent. We probably wouldn’t have had 2 cauliflower dishes next time. Breads were amazing.

This was many of our first time at Vij’s and it did not disappoint. From the warm chai tea as we arrived on a cold night, to wonderful service and reasonable prices. Our server made the dinner with a large group flawless with his recommendations. As far as the food it had amazing flavours, excellent. Can’t wait to return.

This was a perfect evening for my 55th Birthday! We were greeted warmly and given some delicious appetizers and chai. The atmosphere was dark, romantic, and private. The ambience and decor were wonderful. The food was spectacular, as always. Our pork spoon appetizer was amazing, and so was the rockfish cakes. We had amazing vegetable and meat mains: portobello mushroom and red bell pepper curry; goat in Punjabi curry. The naan and fragrant rice are always excellent accompaniments. Service is always impressive with Greg and the rest of the staff. You can't go wrong dining at Vij's. Thank you with gratefulness!

Every time I visit Vancouver, I eat at Vij's. Never disappointed and often impressed. I have had dishes there I remember with great fondness years later. Can hardly wait to go back.

Really looked forward to a great meal, but found the food very ordinary. We ate vegetarian, and had no dishes that knocked us out, as in the past. The menu was also not that large. Somewhat limited selections.

This was easily the best dining experience I've ever had. Everyone in Halifax told me I had to come to this restaurant and they were right. Incredible food, impeccable service, amazing cocktail and wine list. And the owner made the rounds all night checking in with his guests...which was a beautiful touch and made the experience top notch. I cannot recommend this beautiful restaurant enough! I'd give it 20 stars if I could!!

Difficult to communicate with the staff as the noise level was a little loud. There was some miscommunication with the order, and I think the noise level contributed to this. Other than that, great food and great staff.

Everything from start to finish was amazing. I felt welcomed and appreciated as a diner and a guest. Vij’s cares about the details, the small things of service, setting, ambiance - the experience of dining at Vij’s was great, the food was also great. Lots of great GF options for those with celiac disease.

The food and service seems to be hit or miss. The last time I came, the experience was outstanding. But this time, everything from the service to the flavours were bland. We were squeezed right next to another couple, even though it was an early sitting (5:30PM) and half the restaurant was empty. The staff seemed frazzled and made a few mistakes with our order. It would've been excusable had the food been up to Vij's normal standards. But it was just lacklustre. There wasn't the depth of flavour and perfect seasoning that we were used to. Things tasted like the cooking process was rushed. Not sure about the value either. 2 lamb popsicles with a tiny amount of meat for $31? I don't think I'd return after this sub par performance.

As non- Vancouverites we try to fit in dining at Vij’s when we can. To say the least, we have never been disappointed. Exceptional service, and a beautiful meal will insure yet another visit to this fine restaurant. The lamb popsicles (entree) are a must, and the the pork tenderloin (appetizer) was exceptional.

weirdly offputting and inattentive service, maybe they were understaffed. food is quite small for the price and lacking depth of flavour. room has some nice lamps otherwise pedestrian. night and day step down from the old location.
