   Had a little setup for my sister’s proposal in the garden, came and asked for permission to put the setup for 30 min a month before and manager said yes. We also had a reservation for 6 person afterwards to celebrate and have brunch. The day of the proposal a manager came to see us while we were putting the surprise proposal setting and said we couldnt do it and stepped on the neon light. I said its been a month I planned this and had autorization. He argued with me, was impolite and disrespectful. I explaned that my sister is coming and its a surprise and he wanted to take down the beautiful heart made of red roses with a “will you marry me” neon light inside. Food wasnt that good.

   The portions were perfect. Jean-Pierre, the waiter was wonderful, friendly, helpful, good natured, paired a wine to our meal perfectly. The taste of everything was delicious. Just a completely wonderful experience.

    I have dined twice at Villa Elina and both times the experience was exceptionally good. The welcome was warm, the settings opulent, the service efficient and gracious, the food delicious and the view from our table beautiful. The menu choices were varied and reasonably priced. I thoroughly recommend this wonderful dining experience.

    Overall a very good experience. Outstanding service by an attentive and very knowledgeable waiter (Jean Francois, I think). Pasta plate was a bit underwhelming. Bread served was outright not good. It shouldn't be difficult to serve warm freshly baked bread rolls. Will definitely come back.

    We are visiting from Ottawa 1 - 2 a year and find the place and the food exceptional. As indicated to the waiter, if the price of room was less, we could also rent a room. But that will not happen as it to expensive for us.

    Poor cooking of pasta dish. Did not let the ingredients render and mesh in with pasta. The appetizers were ok and the main meals were good. The ambience and seating were great. The music was ok as were the staff. The ease of parking was welcomed. However if a complaint is made about a dish it should be objectively handled. It was not in this case.

    Our food was great. Husband took the lamb dish and a soup. I took the beef dish. All delicious. Great ambiance with a music player all throughout dinner. Fantastic!

    I must say this and this should not be reflective of the service we got and the qaulity of the food or the setting, it is unfortuante that we were bothered by loud customers who thought they're having a party. At a few times, we saw, what appeared to us as a someone from the hotel go and see the guests but no attempt to quiet them down. We were the closest and other customers appeared to have bene bothered by it. Even our waiter appologised for the outcome of the evening. This shouldn't happen and it should be addressed. If they wanted to be loud, they should have gone to Jack Astor's. There's a minimum of respect.

    An excellent first experience at Villa Elena - we stayed at Chateau Vaudreuil and had dinner at Villa Elena. Extensive wine list, an excellent pan seared foie, the lamb and the bison were all seasoned perfectly, well prepared and plated beautifully. The staff were attentive, responsive, and incredibly professional. The ambiance was quiet, comfortable, and upscale without being stuffy - an excellent balance. When in Montreal or Hudson/Vaudreuil, le Villa Elena is well worth your time.

    The service was amazing followed up by one of the best meals we’ve ever had ! Quality simple ingredients transformed into a flavour bomb extravaganza. Music performed by a one man band rounded off an evening of fun had by all. Our waiter made recommendation that we’re bang on !
