Food was amazing and the staff was top notch!
Super friendly staff with smart quality wines. Food was very yummy and paired nicely. I would definitely recommend it.
Very good service and the wine was great. The food was amazing.
Vino Bistro is a delightful offshoot of Fairfax City's The Wine House. It features many similar dishes...and all are delicious! I had the cheddar corn fritters...totally yum appetizer. And the Beef Burgandy was to die for. My friend loved her shrimp and grits...and we both loved the bread pudding dessert that we split. Wonderful wine menu to accompany our meals, too.
Such a bummer. Visited for my daughter's 17th birthday. Mentioned it when we arrived and zero acknowledgement. Service was slloooooooowwww. Cheese plate took 20 minutes to arrive. Had to ask multiple times for bread. Had to refill our own wine (which is fine if I'm not yet paying a restaurant upcharge). Told the manager on the way out and he made excuses. Won't return -- too many other options.
I haven’t had much luck with the restaurants in the Village at Leesburg. Vino Bistro is the exception. We’ve been 3 times and each time the food was impressive. I love salmon and the salmon here is excellent. The salads and entrees are very good. We’re looking forward to more meals at Vino.
Wonderful food and ambiance. Will be back for sure.
Hoping they get a better dinner crowd. Lunch was slow. Menu looks ok. Nothing spectacular but the burger was tasty.
Great place for something casual with a great by the glass wine selection.
They were super accommodating and let us order off the pre fixe menu. Food was delicious. Adorable setting, attentive staff.
Lovely meal! Loved picking out our wine!
It was Saturday, the day after Valentine’s Day, so they had a special menu and were pretty busy. Our waitress was good, but was definitely stretched. Food was also good and attractively plated, but again, the kitchen was stretched, so timing between courses was off.
Vino Bistro was absolutely awesome. Service was the best we have received from a restaurant in years. They were so attentive and knowledgeable. Spoke with the owner who helped me choose an absolutely delicious French Burgundy. Food was delicious. I had the Bone Berkshire Pork chop cooked to my request of Medium. My wife had the large sea scallops which she loved. The Creme Brulee was so good. Wonderful toasty flavor from the Brulee really went well with the glasses of dessert wine our server gave us. I wished we lived closer to enjoy this restaurant on a more frequent basis.
Great food and outstanding service and staff. Would definitely recommend.
The place looks nice, the wine display is awesome. Unfortunately, that's it. We showed up at 8:10 pm for an 8:15 pm reservation. We stood (only 1 SMALL bench to sit on, which we let a hangry pregnant woman have) and waited until 8:55 pm for a table. The staff was obviously overwhelmed, and it showed on their faces. The fixed menu price of $79 per person (an additional $35/person wine pairing) was pretty steep, considering we left unsatisfied, as while tasty, the portions were small. There are SO many restaurants in Northern Virginia, they're going to have to step up their game.
Had a very nice Valentines Day dinner at Vino Bistro! It was very crowded which was expected but we were treated nicely. When we finally got a table 45 min after reservation time, our food arrived shortly afterwards and was delicious. Found out from owner after dinner that their chef called in sick so they were operating short handed at that. Great job all around!
Made reservations for Valentines Day 3 weeks out. Reservation was for 6:45. We finally got seated at 7:30 only to discover they had a very limited fixed price menu for $79/person. We left. They should tell you that when you reserve.
Dessert was a failure. Dinner was great, scallops an filet perfectly prepared.
Went for Valentine's Day. Made a reservation thinking it would overcome the reviews that said service was slow. Well, it was still slow. Only $79 Prix Fixe menu available. My filet was good, but wife's scallops were undercooked. Dinner for two just shouldn't take 2.5 hours. On the good side, great selection of wines that are reasonably priced. HH wine was $6/glass regardless of normal price. Also, management recovered well for the issues, but the expectation is we don't have issues.
Very pretty space. The staff is kind but unskilled. I waited 20 minutes for a drink after ordering a bottle of wine. The list is not written, instead you must accompany the staff to the storage area to select the bottle. Then you must wait for white to be chilled. The presentation of the wine is excellent, but the service is overall frustrating. Requests are kindly accomodated, tho, so patience is rewarded. Food is okay.
Great food, excellent wine. Like others have said the service was a little slow, but we were not in a rush and the evening was fantastic. Definitely recommend for a great dinner out.
We possibly caught them on a busy weekend night. Over 1 hour from table to delivery of food, some of which needed to be sent back because it was under cooked. Manager recovered very well by assigning one of the wine bar staff to our table ... who was fantastic. So while our initial impressions were bad, the food was very good, and the wine bar staff has good wine knowledge. We would go back.
Fantastic night! Delicious meal and great service!!
Had great dining experience at Vino Bistro! Our Server was excellent and was very attentive. Food was all very good. Only comment I would make is Endive Salad while delicious was difficult to eat with topping of walnuts and blue cheese as they didn't adhere to salad. Loved the combo but maybe would work better if served differently or with a dressing mixed in. Had French Onion Soup, Filet and Chicken and all were wonderful.
Great meal with the price fixe menu. Good value and food and waiter were excellent. Food was a little slow to come out but the food is very good. Allergy friendly too.
The kitchen was overwhelmed. It took over an hour to get our order. 40 minutes into the wait they told my husband they ran out of what he ordered. When we finally got the food his was wrong. So they had to take it back and we waited another 20 minutes. So I ate alone and he lost his appetite and took it home for the next day. The owner came to apologize but never offered compensation. Not sure if we’ll be back.
Very long wait for food, but excellent waiter. Fish was way overcooked for two of us. Meat was cooked well. Great wine.
Vino Bistro is a wonderful restaurant that we frequent often. Miriam is the best waitress and Michael always comes to your table to greet you and make you feel welcomed.
Food was really good. It was steak night, and we ordered the flat iron and rib eye. Both were perfectly cooked, and the Brussels sprouts were delish. We choose a bottle of Spanish Tempranillo at the suggestion of the waiter, and it was great. Service was very attentive. Overall a very nice experience.
The staff is awesome, always!!
First time in. The food was very good - cod and salmon. The salads were pretty small. The server was MIA much of the time. But we really enjoyed the food. We’ll be back to try other things.
Never disappointed with their food or wines.
Great food and drink. The atmosphere is top notch. Owner Michael is a super friendly host.
Fabulous, well prepared food and awesome wine list that is carefully selected and doesn’t break the bank. Steak frites, lamb, seafood are done so well- I’ve eaten here 4 times and try something new every time. So far, I’ve found the kitchen to be consistently great. And the service is friendly too.
Awesome service and good! We will be back
Great restaurant! The menu and the wine were both outstanding!
Well worth it. The Brussels sprouts were bitter and a bit more al dente then I like. The gnocchi was amazing. Great wine selection.
First visit to new venue. Outstanding food, great wine selection and great service. Disappointed not seeing Michael but he has a smooth running ship!!
First, I love the fact we can buy really good wines at about retail versus restaurant prices. Interesting concept. Second, the food pairing is also interesting and very solid selection. Great place for fun couples night out.
We were looking for a lively venue for dinner with friends with a good wine/beverage menu, modern food offerings and bonus points for the AL/LSU game. #RTR Vino Bistro seemed to fit the bill. I was excited to find the classic Aviation cocktail on the menu - a great start! Love a good charcuterie board; check. We enjoyed speaking with owner and sommelier Michael as he helped us select 2 very good wines at great price points for a restaurant. The menu had a solid variety of interesting options to fit all tastes. Ultimately 2 of the 4 of us chose steak. Sadly one came out so rare (both ordered medium) it had to be sent back. At about this same point, wines served and food delivered, the service also became far less attentive. Odd for a small and seemingly well-staffed restaurant. This was fine while we enjoyed our meals and conversation, but we eventually struggled to obtain and pay our bill to leave. We noticed Michael was gone, maybe service drops off after he leaves?
This was not a cheap dinner so we will need to try again to see if the value is there. I hope so as Leesburg can always use a new creative spot. I definitely recommend trying out the wines by the bottle for excellent selection and pricing.
