Two of our party of 3 were satisfied with our meal. The 3rd person was not impressed with the pizza. At first servers were attentive but later tended to ignore us. All servers were pleasant.

Had a great meal. The fish (snapper) was well prepared with a nice sauce and vegetables perfectly cooked. The beef carpaccio was delicious, melt in your mouth. My friend's meal was great also. Would go back.

Absolutely loved the ambiance and interior of this place. We had the 65$ course and it was actually really filling. Beautiful and tasty!! The staff were nice and accommodating as well. It was our 7 year anniversary dinner and it was perfect. We will definitely come back!

I was excited to treat my best friend for her bday lunch and was disappointed at the level of service. First, our server informed us that the bottle of wine we ordered was not available. She did not offer a substitute and was not willing to speak with her manager when we requested for a substitute. We finally settled on another more expensive bottle and she struggled opening it so we offered to open it for her or suggested her bartender do it for us. When she poured out the bottle, she did not offer a taste either! We were appalled! Second, as I went to the restroom I almost bumped into who looked like the MOD as he rushed out of a back room and whom did not acknowledge the run in. I thought that was quite rude. With the stellar reputation of the Vintage Cave, I was very disappointed with our experience. I hope this serves as a training opportunity. Mahalo! Valerie

The food was okay for the price that we paid. We got a 50% discount because we were the first 30 people between 11-12. If it were for the discount it definitely would not have been worth it. Not sure why but our lunch service took 2 1/2 hours. They were very pleasant about it but still it took 2 1/2 hours.

My son and his girlfriend were back from California for a short visit so we decided to try Vintage Cave Cafe. The food was delicious, the servers were very nice and helpful in food selection and the ambiance was great. We loved the spaciousness. Although there was live piano music, we could still converse easily. The prix fixe menus offer a great variety of choices and the value of the meals was outstanding.

We were greeted warmly and the friendly hospitality continued throughout the meal. There are several complete 3-course menu choices, and every dish was appealing to the eye and delicious. The restaurant is very quiet at lunch, and that's unusual in this city. We enjoyed the conversation without having to raise our voices to be heard. We will definitely return.

I’ll be back. Best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a long while. As a Hotelier, I’ve ‘invested’ a lot of time and money going to many high end restaurants here in Honolulu so I can bring back to my guests raw knowledge of my experiences. I recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating anything. The ambiance is high class and very clean. The staff all had warmth. Management made us feel like family. The food was excellent! Price is very reasonable for the great food you get. Again, I’ll be back! A hui hou to Grant and everyone there who helped me celebrate Mother’s Day with my wife!!

I like the restaurant for a casual, high quality food sit down meal. The food did not disappoint in my recent visit, though the restaurant was clearly short staffed. The manager and bartender were the servers and the bill took foreeeeeevvveeeer to arrive. I usually prefer prompter service, especially for business lunches. With that said, I would still return to the restaurant, though I'll wait a bit until they can properly staff it.

Went for lunch. They have 3 different set menus: Soup/Salad/Dessert, Soup/Salad/Pizza or Pasta, or Soup/Salad/Meat or Fish fish, which you can pay a little extra for upgrades. The Cesar salad was nice with the dressing a little on the thicker-tangy side which comes on the side. Minestrone Soup (+$2) was flavorful with cute carrots and celery. Loved the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio (+$4), noodles cooked perfect and sauce on the lighter side and not too heavy. Unfortunately, I guess because it was Administrative Day, they were a bit busy so it was slow and because we were sitting window side, it was like we were forgotten, although the bread server did bring us more focaccia bread. No offer on dessert which was bummers as I wanted to try the Affogato or Tiramisu, or even see the cake cart.

Enjoyed the live music while dining. Setting is unusually different for Hawaii in a nice way. A bit expensive for what you get but the appetizers and entrees we had were excellent Waitstaff should be more professional for the atmosphere and price. Waiters and water boys were a little too casual.

A belated birthday lunch and we happened upon the anniversary special. What a treat. This is the best example of a pricey menu that is worth every penny. The restaurant is huge and the spacing of the tables is something you don’t see much these days. Room to breathe and space to not have to overhear your neighbor. The staff is always so nice and attentive. Today we had Abraham and Tina, who went above and beyond to make the dining experience the best it could be. Save room for desert. Every single course will leave you satisfied. Very, very satisfied.

Dined here for a weekday lunch with a party of 3. Ambiance: warm and cozy, quiet, beautiful chandeliers and artwork. Feels like you are in an underground wine cellar. Service: Our server spoke pidgin and chewed gum our entire stay. We had to correct him both times when he repeated our lunch and dessert orders. We shared 4 entrees between 3 adults. 20 minutes for our first pizza to arrive. 15 minutes wait between each entree served. The restaurant is less than 50% full, there’s ample staff, and wait time is ridiculous. The salad in our lamb entree had hair in it - we were fine with keeping the lamb and simply requested an extra side of salad to another server (very reasonable request). Response was “oh......ok”. No immediate apologies. Our final check total was incorrect, charged us $25 more. Our server transferred this issue to the management staff to print another receipt. 15 minutes later, i personally walked up to the front to question the status. “We are still working on it”. 5 minutes later, they apologized they do not know how to fix the system so removed some items off our check to alleviate the $25 difference. The check ended up being less than expected, and they gave us 3 coupons for complimentary wine on a future visit. Food: Ordered Chefs truffle pizza, Siciliana pizza, prosciutto aglio oglio pasta, and lamb entree. Presentation and taste is good. Highly recommend the lamb entree. Desserts ordered were Lilikoi panna cotta, tiramisu, tiramisu parfait. The panna cotta is not Lilikoi - but has a drizzle of Lilikoi syrup. Generous gelato in the parfait. Verdict: The food is delicious. The service is poor. Our lunch took 2.5 hours (1 hour eating & 1.5 hour waiting). I recommend the food, but cannot recommend “dining” at vintage cave cafe.

We were graciously welcomed at the front and the wait staff was attentive. When the food arrived, it was better than expected. The French onion soup was delicious and even the simple salad of baby romaine lettuce was exceptional. The leaves were tender and the lettuce was so fresh and sweet. The fish was cooked perfectly and presentation was beautiful. Special thanks to manager Grant Hamura. He made all guests at the restaurant feel welcomed and also entertained us with his charming personality. We would definitely make another visit in the near future.

Service in the beginning of our dining experience started off with much attention and perfection. The chicken pate was delicious but questioned the pairing of berries relish. The onion soup was delicious and both rack of lamb offered were succulent and so tasty. And then, everything went downhill. We waited over 15 minutes for the dessert cart. Seems the server was too engrossed in conversation with another table. Then he and the cart disappeared. We looked for our waiter and found him engrossed at a machine. 10 minutes later my date walked up to him asking for our bill. We wanted dessert but decided it was getting late and preferred to leave. Our waiter did not give us our bill but decided to go to another table for their order. ‘WHAT’? We could not understand what was going on. We flagged down someone in a mismatched suit and voiced our complaints. He assured us he would inform the manager and got us our bill. Needless to say, our tip voiced our dismay, loud and clesr!

i had reservation and was greeted with a smile, seated promptly. we ordered from prix fixe menu with upgrades. soup was on the small size-warm temperature,tasted good; salad was sufficient-tasted ok; rack of lamb 3ribs-tasted good, needed a little more small potatoes; wagyu with mushroom marsala sauce-tasted wonderful, also could have had a few more potatoes. we both had affogato dessert which was good. my waiter was attentive and staff was good. it was nice the manager came by to say hello. we had great meal. thank you.
