   Me and my husband came here for the first time today for lunch. We had the chicken and waffles and the french toast and they were we beyond our expectations!! Our server Madeleine really made the whole experience very special for us we will be returning again soon!!

   My wife and I came out for date night tonight and had an outstanding time. Service was prompt and on par with other higher end restaurants in the area. The baked ricotta was awesome and my Gorgonzola chicken was delicious. My wife had the crusted fish and loved it. Food was served hot and we received our entrees just as we were finishing up the appetizer. Our server gave us great wine recommendations and even let us sample a few so we got exactly what we wanted. Our only critique was the lighting was a little dim but it created a nice romantic ambiance. We will definitely be returning soon to try more of the food options. We rarely get out because of our kids but our expectations were blown away. Definitely give this place a shot for date night

   This was my second time dining at the vintage house for date night and I was not disappointed!! I missed the Brie but we tried the ricotta as an appetizer and I liked it even better!! Now normally I’m not a fan of veal but I tried the new lemon sage veal and it was absolutely outstanding. I can now confidently say I love veal. My boyfriend got the Gorgonzola chicken and also loved it! We licked our plates clean!! Our server Madeline was so sweet and even gave us a sample of the almond for a toast. Certainly planning a double date here in the near future. The vines are also budding which gives a beautiful view!! Highly recommend!!

   My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Vintage House restaurant this week. The food was delicious. I especially loved the house salad with its scrumptious dressing. The table-side Strawberries Romanoff for dessert was a real treat. Our server really made our entire experience special. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

   Went for brunch. ordered steak & eggs. server didn’t ask how I wanted them prepared. Had to come back & ask. forgot to ask my friend what side she wanted. Had to return & ask. My eggs were hard, I ordered over easy. my steak was cold, ordered med rare, had no warmth to it at all. Asked to have my moscato brought with entree. Server brought it immediately before i finished my espresso. My friend had eggs Benedict & enjoyed it. Venue is beautiful! We sat in the enclosed garden area by the windows. got quite noisy as more people were seated. It was nice for my first time. Just didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe the hubs & I will try evening dining.

    Really wonderful service, food was very good. Ordered steak medium rare, a little more done than would have preferred but still wonderful. Will order rare or get the pasta next visit. The potatoes and asparagus were outstanding, as well as dessert and service. Well worth the visit.

    We loved our experience here! My husband ordered the pork chop and it was cooked perfectly. I had the arancini with a small salad and it’s was hands down my favorite meal I’ve had here. Our server, Ethan, was well versed in wine and recommended a great Tempranillo. We will be back!

    We had hoped to have a special, romantic night, staying at the bed and breakfast, having some good wine and a repeat of the fabulous dinner we had last year on Valentines. When we arrived for dinner it started bad and got worse. The greeter seated us at a tiny table. I asked if we could move to one of the numerous other empty tables and was told no. The menu was Pre Fixe so only a couple of choices per course. I chose the seafood bisque and my wife had the caesar salad which was obviously bagged. I’ve never seen grey lettuce until last night. The dressing was stale and likely bottled. The seafood ‘bisque’ was pasty and was certainly a frozen soup. I ordered the ribeye and asked that it be sliced. Our server said probably not but she would ask. My wife ordered the ‘glazed pork chop’. The server returned and said they would slice the steak. Before we had any time to finish our starters (not that we likely would have) the server arrived with our entrees. The steak was cooked correctly but was cold to the touch. The mashed potato side was served with an ice cream scoop and was rock solid and room temperature. The pork chop was incredibly thin and charred on only one side. The bottom was white. It was cooked to complete dryness and had no flavor. My wife likened it to a flip flop. It had plain honey poured over it…certainly not a glaze. Her potato’s were the same as mine. I asked for the manager who seemed to think all was fine. I asked her if the food we were served were to their standards which she refused to answer. She simply said ‘other guests seem to enjoy it’. I asked to speak to the chef and she replied that I could not…she was the good and beverage manager and out ranked the chef. She offered to comp our meal which I declined…if that’s their standards, I’ll pay but will never return. Thank GOODNESS Christopher’s still sat us or we would have gone hungry. We will NOT return to the Vintage House and will be cancelling our wine club membership. It’s a shame.

    We dined at Vintage House at Messina Hof on Valentine’s Day, so our expectations were fairly high. We’ve also recently become “regulars” at the winery, so we were really hoping that the Vintage House could become one of our go to entertainment venues. I’m sad to say that based on this visit, that’s not happening! We had an early reservation because that’s all that was left, so we entered a nearly empty restaurant. We were seated 3 feet from the host/hostess stand. When I asked to move away from the entryway, we were told the seating plan was set and they weren’t allowed to alter it. Seemed rigid, especially since at least 10 2-tops remained empty the entire time we dined. Strike one. Please let me note that our server, Anna, was outstanding! She was the perfect degree of attentive. She was able to accommodate our special requests, and keep the flow comfortable. The food — just ok, which is not what we were expecting on Valentine’s Day. The kitchen has a limited menu, so everything should be top notch, but it wasn’t. Our Caesar Salads were bland at best. The lettuce was fresh, but the dressing simply lacked flavor. The anchovies were there, but barely any taste of garlic, lemon or Worcestershire. The house made croutons lacked flavor. The main course was also disappointing. My wife had the pork chop and I had the ribeye. The portions were generous, but the taste didn’t “wow” us. My wife said the pork chop was good, but my steak was not. The ribeye was cooked correctly (medium rare), but it was very tough and the Chimichurri tasted like olive oil with a few herbs — no shallot, pepper, garlic or vinegars. Dessert — Saved the evening. Goat cheesecake with an apple compote. The cheesecake was surprisingly light, but had a full taste. The Apple compote was topped with a lattice crust. It looked like apple pie sitting on a cheesecake. The taste was fantastic!! Overall, I’d say the experience was disappointing and we’ll probably not be returning.

    Terrible waiter. He couldn’t keep track of the orders and the bill had to be sent back 3 times to be corrected for what we actually had. My crème brûlée was liquid. The custard never set or wasn’t cooked.

    The servers were working very hard & were good, but it was obviously understaffed. We had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for our reservation, standing up and no bar. Their complimentary bread & olive oil was delicious and the food that followed, slowly, was also excellent. I had a wonderful, crisp steak salad. Next time I will ask for the steak to be cooked medium as it was too rare for my taste. We discovered that their kitchen staff was even more under staffed, only 2 employees there. Please note that this was a Saturday night. We will return, because the food & ambiance was top notch. Hopefully, their number of skilled employees will have increased.

    Our entrees - veal, burger, and stuffed chicken, were great! Seemed like the staffing was minimal but they were really trying. Overall I would return just know it takes some waiting and patience.

    Warm and inviting environment, in enclosed porch area. Service was prompt and friendly. They have a new chef (and new menu). Our meal was delicately seasoned and very flavorful. This is our go-to place for special occasions!

    We were another couple and what good food. We started with Panko Brie that has cracker, a sauce and greens. The wedge salads and cranberry salad (my fav) were enjoyed. The shrimp scampi was wonderful, as was the Chicken Alfredo, Ribeye and and Filet. Bread , dipping sauce and wine got us started.

    We had a reservation for four and were seated promptly upon arrival. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not packed at 6:45 on New Years Eve. The restaurant was serving from a limited menu, presumably because of the holiday, but the choices were adequate. The panko crusted brie was outstanding as were the Ceasar and Cranberry salads. The bone-in ribeye was especially good and perfectly cooked to medium rare. The Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent. Our waiter, Levi, was attentive and personable. The noise level was very low making conversation easy. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience and will be back soon.

    Disappointing is the word that comes to mind first. This was our 5th NYE in a row at Vintage House and we were so looking forward to enjoying a great meal there. In the past there was always a selection of a couple of different “packages” to choose from that included wine and a 3-4 course meal. I looked online when I made the reservation and again yesterday and they showed that menu. I guess it was an old post. They did not offer that this year. In their defense they did call and say the menu would be very limited. We were used to that based on past experience. We were not ready for the choices offered this year. I should have asked what “limited” meant but by the time they called it really didn’t matter, it was too late to try to get a reservation somewhere else. My husband ordered lamb and he said it was “ok”. I ordered duck and did not care for it at all. I ordered it medium to medium well but parts of it were practically raw. My risotto was mostly crunchy. The steamed vegetables were great. We were extremely disappointed that they did not offer the Strawberries Romanoff as that has always been one of the highlights. The wine was great, as always, but it’s just not enough of a draw to go back next year.

    The food was really good especially the Bree appetizer. It was a set menu as it was a holiday. We can’t wait to go back when we can have the full menu. They accommodated me by changing the pasta with steak to the pasta with vegetables. The sauce was rather thin. I’m looking forward to trying their Alfredo sauce next time

    Very few times that I dine I don’t have something that could have been done better. Not with this restaurant. Everything was done just right. Service was excellent, food unique and prepared well, the wines were delicious The server was knowledgeable about food and wines. Beautiful views. The handicap entrance was brick and hard to maneuver wheelchair. But that won’t keep us from coming back again.

    We've been dining at the Vintage House for over 30 years. However, our experience last evening was the worst that we've ever experienced. Thanks to one server, what was supposed to be a birthday celebration became an angry experience. The server seated us and said she would be waiting on us. She then proceeded to ignore us, with no water, wine, or other, for the next 45 minutes. When she finally showed up, she said it had resulted from mis-communication. However, it is hard to understand why we were ignored. I think that she just forgot about us. Service from that point forward was meager at best. They did offer a 20 percent discount on our final bill. However, that 20 percent in no way made up for the absence of our celebration. We will be ending our annual tradition of dining at the Vintage House on our birthdays.

    I am from out of state and heard about the restaurant through my hotel. Just driving there was a lovely Texas adventure and I loved it the moment I drove into the parking lot. Service was great. The food was amazing and I of course enjoyed the wine. Thank you.

    Food was delicious, wine great, one of the few places one can go when you have a friend with hearing aids. Our friend was able to participate in the conversations because it was relatively quiet compared to other restaurants. We LOVE the Vintage House and go there often for special events like birthdays and anniversaries.
