    We were very disappointed with our experience. The food was simply ok but not as expected given the high price paid. I had the soup which was served tepid and fairly tasteless. This was followed by the steak which was overcooked and cold. It had to be sent back and remade. When I finally received my main course, all my fellow diners had finished eating and I had to eat alone. Dessert was not good - it was a cheesecake and I still wonder why I ate it. To top off the evening, my coffee was served cold and had to be sent back. I would also like to mention the ambiance. When one is paying so much for dinner, you would expect the ambiance to be reasonably nice. The lighting was too bright and there was not a candle to be seen. All in all, I will not be returning. The entire evening was a disappointment and I regretted suggesting that restaurant to my fellow diners. They too were disappointed and will not be returning!

    Stayed for a couple of days of golf and had breakfasst and two dinners in the restaurant. Great food and perfect atmosphere. Option between nice “Vintages” and more casual in the lounge. We ended one evening with a cup of tea and cheesecake relaxing on a couch. After a perfect day of golf it was wonderful!

    The food is usually good but on that day it wasn’t. The service is extra long, don’t be in a rush if you go there… on the flip side the views are spectacular as long as you do not focus on any of the buildings surrounding you. The place is in need of a major update if not a complete rebuilt. The chicken sandwich was dry and my fish and chips, although tasty, was served cold

    We were the only diners on a quiet day. The setting among the pines is stunning. The server was delightful - friendly, prompt, smart and thorough. The food was good but not memorable. We were treated to a delicious chocolate cake dessert. We strolled down to the chapel and resaid our marriage vows among the trees…. a special day celebrating 50 years, and Sherwood was the perfect spot.

    We sat outside on the patio in a lovely setting with views of the lake. The Summer spinach salad and Chicken Kiyv was absolutely delicious! We were a party of four and all enjoyed our meals. Service was very good and staff friendly. As it was a birthday celebration, they provided a complimentary dessert and lovely card signed by staff. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious and greatly appreciated. We will definitely return.

    This was a special occasion dinner (birthday) at a location we had never visited. Our server Matt was excellent…always had a moment to chat with us between courses. The pace of our meal was just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our smoked margaritas, goat cheese crostini, caesar salad and beef tenderloin entrees. It definitely was a special meal for a special occasion!

    The moment we entered the building and was greeted by Sofia, we knew we made the right choice. The food was amazing, the ambiance was amazing and our server was amazing. Chase was our server, and although our food took a little bit longer to come out he had us so entertained that we didn't even mind that the food took some time.

    The Sherwood WAS a beautiful lakeside Inn and the dining was a key feature. It is now a tired, run down hotel. The dock should be quarantined it is so unsafe. The grounds are still well maintained but the main building looks and feels like a disorganized flea market. The food (had the steak) was very poor. On the bright side. The staff are excellent.

    We waited over an hour to get our food. It never came, and we left terrible experience. We reminded the waitress twice and nothing ever happened. Terrible experience would never go back again.

    We've been here a few times I've the years, and we're never disappointed. There is a new Chef this year and we were sadly disappointed. The service was good although language barrier made it a little difficult, but he was very polite and open about not understanding. The charcuterie board wasn't very big, with only a 3 pieces of each cheese, 2 pieces of each meat and store bought crackers. In the past its always been a good shareable board with mustards and pate, lots of different meats and cheese. They over cooked my partners Lamb and it took over 30 min to get another one out to us. I order the ravioli which tasted really good but the entrée portions was only 10 pieces, seems like a stretch for 30$ We'd called in advance for a large birthday cake as it was a big birthday and we're told it would be ready and big enough for our party of 5. When it came out it was a small lava cake big enough for maybe 2 people. Overall we won't be going back anytime soon. Wouldn't recommend.

    Food was disappointing. My daughters pasta sauce was from a jar and we received the tiniest piece of fish that was well over priced. The value was most definitely not worth the bill for our party of six.

    After being sat we waited half an hour before we had to physically find someone to serve us. There was only 5 tables sat in the dining room. We were then served by the food and beverage manager. We were very understanding at first because it was their first week open for the summer. After placing our order we then waited another half hour for our appetizers to arrive and one of the appetizers was incorrect, so we sent that back. The “ hearts of romaine” was an abysmal Caesar salad which was an embarrassment for the price and tasted so bland we didn’t even finish it. The server never came back to check and see how we liked the food. We had brought a bottle of expensive wine with us and when we asked to have it decanted we had to tell them what a decanter was. After not being checked on we got up and left the restaurant and went back to our room. This was extremely disappointing as this was our anniversary weekend and we were so excited to dine at Sherwood as our previous experience there was amazing. The food and beverage manager then brought our mains to the room in take out boxes. The mains were also an embarrassment and tasted terrible. The steak I ordered looked like they picked it up at the local Giant Tiger. We had such high hopes for a weekend away that we had planned for a long time and were left hungry and disappointed at the entire experience. We will not be returning to Sherwood in the future as the entire experience was not worth it at all.

    We enjoy this location, close to the water and has a very rustic Muskoka feel. excellent property and great food. We highly recommend a visit to the spa as well.

    Mother’s Day brunch was an excellent experience! The dining room was clean, inviting, and elegant! The brunch displace was organized from salads to sea food, a chocolate fountain, fresh egg preparation to breakfast desserts! There many more dishes to please all pallets! Overall a great morning brunch- will be coming again!

    I was very disappointed. There were seven of us at the table, and none of us was served a meal deserving of the price. The fish portion was very small, and lukewarm. The pasta sauce was sweet, and not suited to the vegetables. Overall, very disappointing.

    I need to explain about the noise level…. It wasn’t loud in fact it was perfectly there … I suffer from hearing issues and I was pleasantly impressed!!!!
