Additionally, our lounge is open 7 days a week (with happy hour offered daily) and is non-reservable. Seating in our lounge is based on a first come, first serve basis.

    We were there for a 10am breakfast on a week day. We both had the Vista Breakfast, choosing sausages for the meat portion. Sausages were a good size, not the puny ones you sometimes get at other restaurants, & delicious. The eggs were done perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were also delicious. Coffee & tea, orange juice all just right. Our waiter Efren was very efficient for he gave us excellent service but he didn't hover over us which we both dislike. We had the corner window table (only 2 of us) so had a panoramic view. Lovely!!

    Vista 18 is good value for a nice dinner out. The wine list is reasonably priced, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is very good. Then there is the panoramic view of the city and harbour!

    Vista 18 offers something different, and nice, in downtown Victoria. The "rooftop" part is probably much better in the summer than in November when it's dark at dinner time, and the half of the restaurant not facing the harbour is mostly just dark city, but fortunately the restaurant offers more than just a view. The menu is different than what most places offer, and all the dishes were exceptionally well prepared. Something for nearly every palette here, but the seasoning skews towards the milder side. Biggest complaint I have is that the Potato Green Apple Soup advertises that it includes "spinach ricotta dumplings" but that should be singular - you only get one dumpling in the middle of the giant bowl. It is an insanely good soup, and I will definitely order it again, but that's about the excellent of things I could quibble about with this restaurant. On the plus side, their "table bread" includes a really good gluten-free option, which is almost unheard of, and much appreciated. Overall, an excellent place, and we will be back.

    Lovely evening at Vista 18 atop the Chateau Victoria Hotel. The 3 cheese ravioli was generous and well prepared. A wine special included a very nice Sangiovese priced at only $42. The short rib was huge and fall off the bone. The spinach salad was super fresh and nicely portioned.

    What an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. Scott was truly one of the best servers I’ve ever had, in every capacity. Me and my partner sat in a very intimate corner window table, and the views were astounding. We had a beautiful bottle of red suggested by Scott, a charcuterie board that we let Scott build for us based on our wine choice, I had the short rib and my lady had the 10oz strip lion. Everything was perfect through and through. Truly an incredible experience, and under $200 dollars too. Thank you Scott !!! We will be back:) Max and Natasha

    Michelle our service person did an outstanding job making our selection easy and giving us a chance to enjoy the spectacular view without pressuring us to leave for more people to come in. The food and ambiance was perfect. Michelle should be applauded for her attention to detail and excellent service. Definitely coming back.

    The setting and the atmosphere is outstanding! One can enjoy the views throughput the entire eating experience - especially the evening. Our appetizer (calamari) was enjoyable however our green salad was quite plain. Spinach salad was very good. Our entrees (salmon, lamb) were both delicious however there were complaints about the amount of bone in the lamb portions. Our server was very attentive and dependable. We were 6 people in total and we were served at the same time so we were all able to enjoy our meal together 😊

    Amazing charcuterie, second to none - always love the twist on pickled. Flawless sesame tuna, complete with wasabi cauliflower and saffron … thank you, Vista 18, for never letting us down. It was my son’s birthday tonight and we could only entrust it to you - thank you to our waiter, as well, for going above and beyond. Thank god there is a restaurant we can go and know it will be awesome every time. Gratitude!

    The view and drinks were great! But when it came to the food, not so much. We expected better for those prices but I guess a rooftop restaurant is more for the ambiance than the food. Steak was dry, veggies were pretty bland.
