Yes, this is a neighborhood gem. When I meet friends for lunch and we're seated near the pool, I feel like I'm on vacation. It never fails to make me happy. I almost always order the hamburger because I'm a sucker for the gigantic addition of sweet potato fries, which are really the best in the city. The burger, while declicious, is too oozy and it's difficult not to drip all over myself. Wait staff is very nice. There was a "Wellness Surcharge," which I find annoying because I don't know whose wellness. I'd prefer the restaurant simply raise their prices and pay for the wellness of all by themselves. I've had two businesses and always paid for my employee's insurance. It shouldn't be put in the lap of the customer.

We love coming here - having brunch on the weekends - the menu has changed and we miss the guac and chips Have to say this visit the food was prepared incorrectly and had to be sent back and was then a bit overdone when received back Service was great -

Excellent food, drinks and service. First time trying the dry cider and it was really lovely, refreshing and crisp. Perfect for a hot summer night. Got a salad with steak added and the steak was cooked perfectly. Also I requested one of the cabanas with couches in my reservation. Normally this request is summarily ignored and I'm just invited to sit wherever I want (those cabanas are always already taken) but they actually reserved a cabana with couches for me this time!! I was sooo happy. Thank you!

What a lovely lunch in an iconic venue. Marilyn Monroe use to stay here. It was wonderful to enjoy a delicious meal poolside and feel the classic Hollywood vibes.

Perfect for the occasion. Three friends looking to catch up. We had a poolside table and felt like we were on vacation. We didn't have to deal with yelling over restaurant noise. We never felt rushed. We gabbed for hours. My dish, the burger, is good but not fabulous. But the sweet potato fries...THEY'RE fabulous. And even as a side with my hamburger, there were plenty to share among the 3 of us.

While I really enjoyed the place -- a WELLNESS SURCHARGE did not sit well with me! I would have tipped way more but after seeing that - changed it. Charge me more but putting something like that is offensive to people that go out all the time. Place otherwise good -- nice place to sit and have breakfast but forcing me to overtip that way is offensive.

Fantastic service and delicious food. Brioche French toast was perfect. Not too sweet and just the right amount of berries. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Berry smoothie was delicious and coffee was strong and hot. One of my fav brunch places in LA!!

We had a lovely experience at Viviane! We went on Saturday morning May 13. It’s very small and quaint with the pool in the center and the tables around it. Our server David was great! He was very accommodating to several requests and made sure we were taken care of. We did not have to wait long for the food and as a party of five with one vegetarian and one vegan, we all had great food choices! We had the French toast, the pancakes, the egg frittata, the sweet potato fries, and an egg white omelets. And a couple of the smoothies! Great presentation and we will definitely come back the next time we are in town!

Have been going to this hidden gem for over a decade. Very aesthetically pleasing spot - dine inside or poolside. Food is good, service is kind and attentive. Complimentary valet is a lovely change of pace. My only gripe is timed meals. I like to catch up with friends and sometimes that runs long. Great place for a business lunch.

Worst hamburger I have ever had & did not look anything like the picture on their website. Plus, it was $25. for awful onions, one piece of wilted lettuce, no cheese slice, no brioche bun, just a cold bun with soggy dressing & a grey slice of tomato.

I made a reservation for 3. We arrived at the restaurant and they had not table for us. Three of us squeezed into a small table for 2 until another table opened. What’s the point in making a reservation if you’re not going to honor it?

Two or three times a year four of us very old friends (in both ways) get together, usually at Viviane b/c we like being poolside. We don't have to yell over music and can actually hear each other. But this time we all thought service to our table was an afterthought by staff. It took forever to flag someone down to ask for a glass of water. The person responded, "I'm not your waiter, but I'll find him for you." Guests don't care WHO the waiter is, just have SOMEONE bring the glass of water. My friends were happy with their food; I, less so with the hamburger. Pretty dry. I won't order that again. But, on a happier note, the sweet potato fries are wonderful!

Viviane is a charming little gem. I found it by accident and when I saw mid century modern decor in the description I made a reservation. All of the employees were kind and helpful. We sat by the pool for a few hours and we were allowed to be together and talk. The food was tasty and service was prompt. Lovely place to spend time.
