vivo is where Italian comes alive. We relish the enthusiasm and joy with which the traditional Italian meal is prepared and delivered, and seek to recreate that experience for every guest. Our open kitchen showcases our chefs preparing fresh and local ingredients.

When you join us for dinner, expect it to be a relaxing evening lasting a couple hours over several piatti (courses). Your table comes alive when we present a variety of large offerings on platters or bowls within easy reach of all.

A classic Italian pranzo (dinner) usually beings with a variety of antipasti (hot and cold appetizers), followed by one or two primi (usually a hot pasta, risotto, gnocchi or zuppa). Next your table will share a secondi (entrees) served on a platter combined with your choice of contorni (vegetable side dishes). Italians often complete their meal with un dolce, un caffe, or un digestivo (dessert, espresso, liqueur or grappa).

Fantastic food, every course. Service was attentive and friendly. Get the Rigatoni with pork, great dish that all four of us loved.

Had some friends in from out of town and they wanted to try vivo. They are still talking about the unbelievable food and service. They said they’ve never been to a place with such fresh pasta since they were in Italy.

Local gem, we have been going to this restaurant since it opened. It was a beautiful evening, we enjoy eating outdoors while we have the weather. The music outside was good, service was great, Dean was attentive as always, new trainee was also very good. Food was fantastic as always. Thank you for another wonderful meal!

We do a family get together here annually, and it is the perfect ambience, with fabulous service and a family style menu that offers excellent food that satisfies all tastes. We plan to return many times. Try the Sea Bass.

When you live east of Capilano Exy driving here was longer than normal. Expectations were set. Got seated, water was brought. Placed wine order and then waited and waited. Didn't arrive until first course. Overall enjoyed the meal. Service was better than average.
