When you join us for dinner, expect it to be a relaxing evening lasting a couple hours over several piatti (courses). Your table comes alive when we present a variety of large offerings on platters or bowls within easy reach of all.
A classic Italian pranzo (dinner) usually beings with a variety of antipasti (hot and cold appetizers), followed by one or two primi (usually a hot pasta, risotto, gnocchi or zuppa). Next your table will share a secondi (entrees) served on a platter combined with your choice of contorni (vegetable side dishes). Italians often complete their meal with un dolce, un caffe, or un digestivo (dessert, espresso, liqueur or grappa).

The best Ceaser salad and steak we’ve ever had! Our server was fantastic explaining the menu and even the manager came by to make sure everything was ok. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Had a wonderful evening at Vivo. Tried some fun cocktails and sipped some delicious Pinot Grigio. The Grilled Caesar Salad is a sooo tasty. The scallop appetizer was very tender. Even the Funghi plate was very flavourful and huge. The olive oil in the complimentary bread was noticeably better than the one we have at home.
Kristin was pleasant and professional. The music was perfect, also.
The manager came by to say hello as well. Thanks for the Limoncello.

It was my son's birthday and we celebrated as it is his favourite place to dine - We had the favourites of VIVO which are our his favourites . Our server was fabulous under these COVID times - we were so full we couldn't even have a dessert.!
Our waiter was very personable. He checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy. Great atmosphere. Quiet, great food as always. I like that they change things on the menu. Not always making things the same way.

It is always nicer to sit at the table near the fireplace for a special occasion as the ambience is better and less noisy from the kitchen

It was very enjoyable. Food is very tasty but overpriced for small portions. Given the platter service we were seated at a small table for 4 people which made things a bit awkward and crowded.

I love Vivo. The family style dining and the outstanding food make it one of my favorites. The staff are very friendly and helpful with first-timers.
The chicken was very dry and seemed overcooked. The asparagus were burnt, probably that is what happened when grilled.
Unfortunately we did not mention this to the waiter until we had finished and he said it would have been replaced. That is my problem as this was the first time I have ever complained in a restaurant. He did offer and we accepted a dessert which was fantastic.

Vivo is consistent with the quality of the food - I know because we usually order the same thing each time, it is the best fettuccini anywhere. Service is very good and very generous. This has been a favourite place of ours to go for date night

We went to celebrate our anniversary and as always everything was beyond superb! We have been to so many restaurants throughout edmonton and Vivo is by far the best in the city. Prices may ride high, but the food and service is literally worth every cent. We will always celebrate our special days here!
Nice romantic spot! They offered a complementary desert for our wedding anniversary.
Was our 45th wedding anniversary Had a table by the fire place. The server was nice and a good sense of humour. At the end he brought us a sample of each desert as a celebration of our occasion, even though we never ordered desert. The chicken parmigiana was excellent. All the food was excellent and lots. We brought home half in a doggy bag.
