Good and service were terrific. Will go back soon
Great place to eat. Food is high quality and delicious.
The food was a little freasy - not what i remembered. Service was not so great either despite the fact the place was not too busy.
The food was tasty, but the menu on open table was completely inaccurate. There was no happy hour, and the wines that were listed were not offered at the restaurant. Otherwise, the service was good and they had nice outdoor seating with heaters.
Food was flavorless. On entree was brought out and served. 10-15 minutes later the other entree and appetizer was served. Food had zero flavor. Avoid!!!!
Great service! Great food!
I would recommend this place any time, and I have done so.
Great good as always, service slow. Took ages to get the food
Service is usually quite good. Today, it was slower - especially to get the check. Food was very good, as always. A good value for lunch in the Grand Central area.
Great food and service, accept big groups. ideal for kids
I I got excited when I saw this restaurant. I remember going a lot on london years ago and the food was amazing. The food was not good. Very mediocre and some things were inedible. Our service took forever and the restaurant was empty. They kept forgetting someone in our parties food. We will never be back. It’s a shame as I remember how good it was back in the day.
Terrific food with nice open dining experience. Drink options are diverse and fresh juices and teas was a refreshing change of pace.
Food used to taste much better but I was disappointed during my recent trip. Increased carb/protein ratio is quite unhealthy.
Service was great. We came in maybe 15 minutes before our 1pm reservation. Prices were reasonable and the food was great.
A group of us celebrated a birthday on Monday evening, November 1st and Alex the Manager and Muna our waitperson were so kind, attentive, proactive and genuinely interested in each of us having a good experience at the restaurant and that is what is rare and most appreciated! It makes all the difference and they would be responsible for our returning, which we will.
Always reliable and consistent regardless of location. Good outdoor seating option at this location.
Great place. Covid compliant and not crowded. Good food plus beer & Sake.
Will come again.
Stopped in NY City for a night and wanted to get some food for the family that was reliably tasty. Tried Wagamama in Boston so we were really excited to go here in NYC. We understood during COVID, service would be slow so we were not concerned about the slow service. The food however was not very tasty. It lacked salt and flavor. Overall though, it was an ok experience. Not terrible.
Service was scattered. Long line to check in even though booked on open table
Excellent quick meal with friendly service
We ate during near perfect ideal weather outside. Staff and Food was outstanding. Street noise level was NYC - restaurant cannot control NYC traffic noise!
Even though i reserved a table in the morning, it was not ready when arrived there. We spent around 50 minutes find the table and get our food even though we were very quick to place the order. Last but not the least food quality has definitely deteriorated from the quality we used to have in late 2019 and early 2020.
Very helpful and friendly service. The food was very good. I had the avangardn and I loved it. My juice was really good as well. I hope to come back soon.
Too many noisy children, shouting and screaming ...
Delicious - We had the eggplant/mushroom bao, calamari, salmon teriyaki and bang bang cauliflower!
Great ambience and service! The menu seemed a little limited compared to before the pandemic, but still a good selection of Asian-fusion foods. The ramens we had were very tasty. The portion of appetizer was on the small side. Overall a very satisfying quick lunch.
I have been to Wagamama many times in different locations and countries, but this time the food was not up to par. The veg katsu curry was bland and the chili calamari had no chili at all.
However the shrimp noodles was smoky and great.
Wagamama is an oasis at a busy intersection. Servers were all excellent...efficient, courteous, and amiable.
Outdoor dining was fine but nothing special. The wagamama philosophy of bringing food out while it’s hot makes for an awkward dining experience because then some people are eating 5-10 minutes before other people’s food arrive. I don’t understand why the kitchen can’t just time it better. For that reason I would just keep in mind what type of dinner you want to do here (probably not good for a date or business meal)
I love everything the waiter recommendation was amazing the food service and everything was spectacular I’m in love
Food was very good. Wish they had the pork belly, but I chose the the bulgogi steak with soba. Steak was cooked medium, flavor great. Had the Blossom drink very refreshing not overly sweet.
The ingredients and food was amazing as well as the outdoor space. Although the food was healthy the sauce seemed like it can have calories but still much better than other restaurants. However listing the calories might be attractive to some customers.
Husband and I have gone to this restaurant almost every Friday during the Covid lockdowns when outdoor dining was open. At that time the food and service was outstanding. Not so much yesterday. I’m vegetarian and my salad, despite having ordered with tofu, came with chicken. The replacement was dry and not enough (I have eaten the same dish several times)
The food here is great. They could work on timing the food to all come out at the same time.
Firstly let me say that we are huge fans of Wagamama, we’ve eaten there (mainly overseas) for years and the food is always fantastic.
Sadly I’m just a little disappointed by the shrinkage of the menu. It used to be packed full of options but now it’s so small. Not only that, there now doesn’t seem to be the option to choose your protein with the dish. You have to have it as it comes which rules out a lot of dishes for people if you can’t eat meat or a certain of meat. So if you like the sound of a chicken dish, but would prefer to have it with shrimp, this is now not possible. So yes, we all enjoyed our meals, but I would prefer to go back to the old style of picking the dish you want and then choosing the protein. It’s disappointing not to have that choice because it limits your options.
First time to wagamama... food is delicious. I love that this is a kinda different concept with the asian food + fresh bar + unique cocktails.
I know the service industry is struggling right now and we could definitely feel the impact... am sure when things get closer to “normal” we will not experience the lack in service like this time.
Ate indoors. Staff did turn down music at my request but not enough. Of course the street noise outside would have been even louder.
Food is on the spicy side, even when requested more mild. Main courses come out too fast, even before appetizers are finished. The quality of the food is good as well as the service.
Amazing food, great vegan choices... and the service is always spectacular!
The staff and manager are really nice and friendly. Super accommodating. Only minor criticism is that the food took a very long time to come out.
Other than that, everything else was perfect!
Clean, quiet (we ate inside), delicious. Recommended!!
