Went for breakfast and overall food was good. To note though I made a reservation through OpenTable, confirmed the reservation the day before and was in the system when I arrived but was told by the hostess they do not take reservations. The place was empty so they were able to seat my party but I would suggest calling to ensure your reservation is in fact being taken.

Wasn’t aware that the restaurant was no longer accepting reservations from Open Table. They accommodated us and were aware we booked online. Only option was buffet. Disappointed in that but the cook to order inlet station was amazing!

Met a business associate for breakfast. Wait staff was very attentive and the food was good. Easy place to get in and out when attending a conference at the GRB Convention Center.

Service was slow, and it took forever to get our food even though there weren’t many people dining at the same time we were. The location is convenient to the meeting space; however, I probably wouldn’t dine there again.

Hostess: Didn’t seem very experienced. Couldn’t find my OoenTable reservation and assumed I was a party of 4 under a similar name, which seemed kind of odd. Server took a long time to show up and offer water and take beverage orders. We had to call someone else over and that person summoned our waiter. The individuals were very polite and accommodating; it just took a long time. Lunch menu was fairly basic. Vegetables were fresh and delicious but portions were very small for a meal. I ordered a house salad with shrimp and the size was more appropriate as a side salad. Sandwiches were generously portioned though so perhaps my salad was the anomaly. Convenient to meeting spot and ambience was good.

I had reservations for a fixed time to make a meeting and had to wait for a table 10 minutes. In addition my bill did not reflect the discount that was to be on it and the waiter disappeared and due to time limits I could not bring it to anyone’s attention. I was not happy with this day’s service.

The Waker Street Kitchen is located in the Marriott Marquis hotel where we were staying so it was very convenient. We had breakfast twice during our stay and everything was excellent! The staff is friendly and efficient and it was a pleasure to interact with them. We made reservations both times (highly recommended) and were taken immediately to our table. The food was excellent I highly recommend the omelets. The cook was cordial and the omelet was superb.

Staff inattentive. Forgot drinks ordered. Steered to buffet instead of A la Carte preference. Food delivered incorrectly to table that belonged to another table. Waiter interrupted conversation at table. Apathetic staff - will choose other hotel breakfast meeting locations.

We held a business lunch for 5. We sat in the back room, so it was quiet for our meeting, however, the waitstaff rarely came by, we had to flag people down to get more water and the check. I was surprised because i have always had good service at the other Marriott restaurants at this location. The food was ok, but not above average for what i had. This was the first time my CEO had been at this Marriott, it did not make a good impression.

This was our second time, as a work group, to have lunch at Walker Street Kitchen and I was less than impressed. I had reservations so we were seated timely and they were happy to accommodate our group. After that, the service just went downhill. All glasses were already on the table, but several trips were made by our server to get pitchers of water to fill everyone's glass. It took a while to take everyone's order then almost 40 minutes to get our food, and that's after asking her to check twice. Others around us, who arrived AFTER our party, were enjoying their food. Our server brought out a stand so it looked like all meals would be brought out together on a tray, but instead they were brought out 2 meals at a time...and not in any kind of hurry. I asked for the check when our meals were brought as we were already almost an hour in. When the check arrived, I quickly realized why the servers were in no hurry...the 18% hotel "service fee" was already added. The food was good, but I'm not sure that I'll go back. I guess I just expected better service with a name like the Marriott.

We ate breakfast here twice during a weekend stay. The food was great both times. The service was good the first time and terrible the second. Took 20 minutes to bring waters, we had a fill in server and actual server didn't acknowledge us until we complained, 45 minutes after being seated, that our food was taking a long time. Pretty sure the server thought we were the problem. Mgmt addressed the issue.

Went for brunch before an Astro's game. We got in and served quickly. The omelette station made us a fresh personal omelette. The buffet offered an abundance of fresh fruit as well as several other dishes, breads and muffins.

I dined for a late breakfast and Landys took wonderful care of me. I was terribly rude and walked in while I was on a phone call, and she was still so sweet and brought me coffee and water. I had a working breakfast so I was on my computer and even stayed almost an hour after I had finished eating, and the entire stay was extremely welcoming and friendly. The oatmeal was great and filling. I definitely recommend for a casual breakfast spot. Great for solo business traveler and beyond.

The service was the worst we have seen in a very long while. We ordered orange juice and ice water. After 15 minutes I finally flagged someone down to request the ice water. Our server Pamela didn't seem to be able to handle more than one or two tables, management should have easily spotted this and taken up the slack. Everything else was good though, can't hold the whole restaurant to blame for one poor server. Didn't eat the breakfast buffet or omelettes but they looked really on point. We had Migas tacos that were average, but the re fried beans were nice and spicy. *The Texas Benny is something I would highly recommend. It is an interesting take on the eggs Benedict, biscuit with BBQ and onions with a pouched egg a top a gravy drizzle.

The restaurant had a live music quartet playing loud jazz/blues at 10:30 am. It was so loud people were having to shout to have a conversation. We gave up after 15 mins and just read our iPads while eating. Food was great but the noise was just ridiculous. I can’t imagine what it must be like to work there and endure those decibels for a long period of time. Its a work hazard. I will not go back again despite the food being great.
