Walker's Exchange is Located on the 2nd Floor of the West Tower of the Galt House Hotel. We will have Santa available for pictures with kids in the living area outside of the restaurant, as well as our holiday train setup! Enjoy our wonderful breakfast buffet including holiday favorites such as French Toast, Breakfast Casserole, Scrambled Eggs, Country Ham, Cinnamon Rolls, and more! 9am - 12pm $30 for Adults $12 for Children 6-12 Children under 5 eat free!

    Just before Covid we went to breakfast with Santa and it was amazing. This year, no holiday music, no elves, no special activities. No table holiday decorations or hot chocolate. Santa was nice and friendly and Grans enjoyed train ride. The buffet was ok but could have had a station for hot chocolate or Christmas waffle toppings. Even little things like no spoons for cereal and milk not by the cereal - always had to ask server.

    I could not be more disappointed with this. We’ve been coming to the Galt House for Breakfast with Santa for 8 years and have always had the best time. We made a reservation for 11:30 and right when we sat down they said the train was closing did my kids want to ride? Then when we went out to see Santa he had already left. Again, we’ve done this for many years and Santa has always been there until after we ate. They have changed the hours this year so I guess Santa leaves right at 12. No one warned us or told us. The woman in charge was incredibly rude. They food is not good but that’s never why we come. This event has gotten progressively worse over the years and I’m sad to say we won’t be returning. It used to be packed and so festive. Not worth $100 for room temperature buffet, a short train ride (the conductor is awesome but it’s gotten shorter and shorter each year), and no Santa!

    We came in for the Santa breakfast. Santa was lovely and kind. The person operating the train was very caught up visiting with his friends and discussing his betting from the night before - therefore not paying attention to the small children on the train. The buffet breakfast was terrible. The food was ice cold and most of it probably wouldn’t have tasted very good even if it were hot. We will skip this experience in the future and visit with Santa somewhere else.

    Walker's Exchange was overrun. Light up Louisville, Cheerleading competition and Andrea Bocelli all rolled up into one night. WE had reservations. Arrived 15 minutes early in anticipation of a crowd. Sure enough there was a huge crowd. The hostess and the manager literally worked their butts off. Cleaning tables to help wait staff, helping deliver food to the tables. All the while manning the host station with a smile and cheerful attitude to assure people waiting and swiftly deliver hungry, impatient and a few entitled patrons to a table. We were served and got out in time to take in the concert. Sitting here writing this review 1 day later and still amazed at the excellent service and good food.

    Our reservations were at 6:15. When we got there, there was a long line waiting at the hostess desk. Apparently Walkers had given away tables to people who didn't have a reservation. We waited and waited and finally left since we didn't want to be late for the Andrea Bocelli concert we were going to. I felt the hostess should have at least come down the line and talked to people and explain the situation. It appears they were probably short of help

    Good place, good food. The only negative was that the Hostess was responsible for check in, seating, and passing out menus. Was doing her best, but the crowd was large. She needed additional personnel at the desk. Food is very good.

    A guest and I went to the restaurant for Thanksgiving they had the traditional Thanksgiving turkey dressing Etc which was excellent it also surprised us with oysters Fried Chicken exotic cheeses several different kinds of pie several different kinds of salad and fruit and many sauces and soups. The waiters were very nice but they seem to be very confused at times and missed a few things like coffee but it was not serious and they were good natured and we had a great time and it was reasonable price and we would love to do it again next year. I can recommend this to anybody we ate so much we could hardly believe it.

    We attended the Thanksgiving Buffet on 23 Nov. The food was very well prepared and the reception staff very friendly. That said, the food was also uniformly tepid on the buffet tables. This was a shame, as if the food had been hot, it would have made a world of difference. The value was good for the buffet. The servers were adequate. The atmosphere was "meh". As a curious aside, throughout the restaurant, the pepper was in the "one hole" shakers and the salt was in the multi-hole shakers. This make it easy to accidentally pour a ton of salt on one's dish and makes it impossible to add ANY pepper. Management--are you listening?

    We went to the Thanksgiving buffet. Everything was great. Lots of selections and the food was delicious. We were immediately seated and the service was excellent. Very happy we went there.

    Thanksgiving Day buffet was phenomenal! Kudos to the chef and his kitchen staff, the manager and his wait staff for making the experience warm and inviting despite the huge large crowds. All the traditional favorites were available from Turkey with gravy and all sides to prime rib and a huge cold seafood array of shellfish. Desserts were plentiful and there were lighter options if one was inclined. Two thumbs up! Our server aptly name Smile was wonderful!

    My husband and I had never been to Walker's Exchange restaurant. Nor had we been to a 'fancier' establishment on Thanksgiving holiday to eat. My advice: Do not walk to 'Walk'er's Exchange. RUN. Absolutely delicious!!! Thanksgiving dinner. It was a buffet with a vast amount of choices besides your usual Turkey Bird day fare. Dressing was on point, creamy spinach, mac & cheese, shrimp and grits, green bean casserole, greens, creamed corn-to-die-for and so much more. The Mains: turkey tender enough to cut with a fork, ham, fried chicken, chicken pot pie, chilled shrimp and crawfish(already peeled-I appreciate that), thin-sliced salmon, fried cod, etc. Did I mention a station set up for slices of Prime Rib!?! A complete salad bar which included charcuterie items. And, of course, the finale of many desserts. The wait staff were super-attentive, informative and friendly. EXCELLENT Service! If this review doesn't pique your interest perhaps this will. My husband toward the end of our food fest asked me, " How far in advance do they take reservations for Thanksgiving?

    Such a splendid meal. Every item on the Thanksgiving buffet was delicious. Staff were incredibly efficient, and welcoming. Hands down the best Holiday meal ove had at a restaurant.

    I was actually disappointed in the whole experience. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive and never came back to refill our drinks. The food was not good at all. The chips were stale, they gave us dirty plates, our sides were cold and the honey chicken was so over cooked and hard that we couldn’t eat it. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant.

    We had a reservation for 6:30 Sat. Nov. 11th. We were finally seated at 7:10. Clearly overbooked or took walk-in’s. We weren’t by ourselves. The line of 15-20 customers behind us all had reservations as well ranging from 6:30-7:15. Lots of frustration. Management needs to review current system and make changes!

    We had a reservation for 6:15. We were staying at the hotel for a concert that evening at 7:30. We walked down at about 6:05. There was quite a line, so while my two friends stood in line I walked to the front to ask if guests with a reservation needed to wait in the line or what the protocol was, however there wasn’t a hostess there. A few minutes later the hostess returned, I asked my question and she said yes I needed to wait in the line and they would do their best to get us seated, despite having a reservation. We waited in line and when it came to us, we thankfully were seated immediately. We then waited for 10-15 minutes before a server ever came to our table. When he came to the table to get our drink orders, we let him know we also were ready to order our food. Hoping that would help move things along. We waited another 20 minutes for the server to bring our drinks from the bar. We asked if he knew about how much longer for our food - he said 10-15 minutes. While waiting a couple that had been at the table behind us asked if we had already ordered our food because the service was very slow. They had been there since 5pm. It took every bit of that long, maybe 20minutes. We received all of our food except for one entree, which was brought out about 5-10 minutes later. The food was warm, but not hot. We ended up being late to the concert, but thankfully only missed most of the opening act. The restaurant was not very busy, however the service was extremely slow.

    Both times I dined here the service was really bad. We were seated at 5:30 and asked for a wine list. The waiter disappeared, we thought to retrieve the wine list. He returned at 5:50 with no wine list, but he took our orders. At 6:30 our drinks finally arrived but we still didn’t get our appetizer. We asked for buckets of ice to place our two bottles of wine in as they were white wines. My drink (Louisville Sour) had a large chip out of the glass rim, which I noticed after taking two drinks. The waiter never returned. I had to find another server working at other tables to help me get a replacement drink. She assured me it would be free, but later it was on my bill. I paid for it because it wasn’t worth arguing about because it was so late by the time we had gotten our food and eaten. The food arrived at about 7:15. The appetizer came out AFTER we received our food. My steak was cold but I didn’t complain about it. Our concert was starting at 7:30, so I ate it. Our previous experience here was similar. We won’t be back.

    A very “not good” experience. From the greeting at the hostess stand to the delivery of the check, the experience was that of a factory cafeteria. Do not waste your time or money here.

    Short handed for our first experience here. Ordered 3 appetizers and only got one, 20 mins later the other 2 came out. Had to ask for drinks. Person in charge was very apologetic, but we weren’t the only ones in the restaurant that were having a bad experience. Seemed like servers were busting their rear ends, while people that looked like managers stood around and talked.

    Food was good, and priced ok considering it’s in a hotel. Waiter was nice but his strong body odor made me not want to eat. Also service was super slow despite not many people in the restaurant- took 2 hours to get through dinner and paying. I wouldn’t go again despite the good food.
